Quality Inn Downtown Convention Center

2.5 out of 5.0

This motel is a good location , close tongue MAX and Alberta St. Nothing fancy but not a problematic place to stay.

Luckily this hotel is perfectly situated next to the convention center or I'm sure it would be out of business. Perfectly mediocre in every way.

Save environment, walkable to the Lloyd centre and Moda Center, all public transportation nearby.

There was a vagrant digging through the garbage in front of a newly broken glass window when we arrived for check-in. Not exactly a great start. $6 paid unsecured parking. The hotel smells dank in the hallways and the room. The bed was very soft. Both the vending machines were out of water.

Hotel was undergoing major renovations so lots of construction dust and noise. Walking distance to metro station so very convenient to get to airport. Great hot breakfast selection.

We chose this hotel due to its cost and location. It was mid-priced in the market, lower quality for what you get compared to other cities but Portland in the summer is high season. The location justified the price but worked well due to adjacent trolley and light rail stops, there are restaurants in the area. Also, the breakfast bar is a nice plus and was decent.

Very reasonable but definitely no frills. Still, the location, cleanliness, free parking, free wifi, and price make up for this

Great staff, friendly, knowledgable and maintaining a lovely facility. Great hot water in the immaculate bathroom, very comfortable bed and soft and large towels and climate control was excellent as well.

Very nice staff, after checking out needed to use the restroom and staff at the front desk rechecked a key out to me so I could use the restroom.

The hotel was very conveniently located close the bus, MAX, and street car. You could be in downtown Portland in 15 minutes or on Alberta street. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The one issue was the building would shake occasionally but it didn't disturb or wake me up. When I was there the hotel had a no marijuana policy on premise which is pretty weak but not a reason to stay elsewhere. I would recommend this hote for anyone looking for a good deal and a great location for public transit.

We did an all public transport trip to Portland from the Tri-Cities, WA. Took the train from Pasco to Portland Union Station, went to OMSI from there, then to the hotel (MAX line), and the next morning to the Saturday market. The location of the hotel is perfect for public transport, which was a major consideration for us. Places to eat and shop are within walking distance from the hotel. Pool and gym are simple but functioning. Breakfast was good, the room was comfortable. Good deal for the price.

We loved it, they were very nice and we never had an issue the whole time we were there. I didn't like that we had to pay for the 2nd car though. Other than that, location was good and close to the clubs. We still had to take a cab but it didn't cost much so it was worth it. I will defiantly stay there next time I want to go out.

Both of our stays were great. First time there we got a flat tire and hotel staff were happy to help get it fixed. Breakfast was great!! Perfect location for out of town Blazers Fans!!!

The hotel barely met my expectations. It's highpoint is the hotel location being walking distance to MAX and Lloyd Center. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was efficient and friendly. However, the internet kept on disconnecting, the key cards did not work most of the time, and halls and doors need repainting badly.

Every thing was fine except for the smell on the room it was disgusting like cigarettes. Breakfast is very good and the staf very kind, perfect location!

Its rooms just need to be updated. Clean but dated., Dark. Good for the price Good breakfast spread

stayed here for the Portland Rock and Roll Half marathon. It was close to the convention center and easy to get to the start line downtown. I would stay here again.

I recently attended a convention that was held a few blocks from the Quality Inn. This location was close to the light rail line making my trip to and from the airport a breeze. I also traveled to the Expo Center. Nearby restaurants as well as the food court in the LLoyd Center made dinners easy and provided a variety of options. The hotel breakfast was always well presented and provided a great start to the day, thanks Stan. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

I could not get the wifi connection to work when it was needed. Staff was trying to be helpful but could not solve the problem and I did not have time and inclination to help them.

Everything was all-right. My biggest complaint would have to be that the pool was very cold the heater was turned off because apparently May is the off-season for indoor pools.
