The hotel is very unique and the room was very spacious. I appreciated the onsite free parking and being able to jump on the streetcar from the hotel. The rooftop was a great space to dine and unwind. Unfortunately our room smelled like cigarette smoke the entire stay. Also we could hear every footstep of the people just above us.

The hospitality at the Inn at Northrup is top notch. We have stayed in several Portland hotels and this is by far the most friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and fun. The room wasn't the fanciest compared to other hotels, so if you are looking for that sort of thing, this may not be the place for you. But for us, the charm, the staff and the location made up for any of that.
