Even though I prepaid for a room, they cancelled my reservation at 10 at night for the first night of my 2 night stay. Had to find a new hotel at 11:30 at night. Was able to stay the 2nd night there and was very unimpressed with the breakfast. The room was just ok. Bathtub/shower very old and stained.
It was just a very clean and well maintained facility with a very friendly staff.
Rooms on road side very noisy. Hotel is in need of a refurbishing, furniture getting old!!
Couldn't get a good night's sleep. There's a busy intersection right next to the hotel, and we could hear the traffic noise quite vividly. Every time someone in the adjacent rooms or the room above used their toilet or sink, we would hear those sounds too. I wish they did a better job with sound dampening on windows and walls. Hotel was clean. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was nice.
Bed linen appeared to have not been changed, Hair strands were visible
I typically love Springhill Suites, especially the newer ones such as the one in Mt. Lebanon. The West Mifflin location shows signs of wear and age in the rooms. Air filters were hanging out of the air conditioner, walls were worn, etc. The lobby was nice but who cares? It's about the room. May be time for a remodel soon.
This SpringHill is a little more dated than I'm used to. It's apparent that they've attempted to keep up with the SpringHill line appearance, but the rooms are in need of an overhaul. Staff was very friendly and helpful with finding my way around the area. The hotel is in a convenient location to nearby restaurants and shopping. They also provide a shuttle to anywhere within 3 miles.
housekeeping never came to freshen up our room. when we advised the front desk staff of this, all they said was, "oh. sorry about that." the "indoor pool" was no bigger than a bathtub and the "fitness center" consisted of 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 exercise bike, and a few hand weights (and none of them worked properly). one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. I will never stay at a Marriott again.
Convenient stay for the weekend and like the continental breakfast too.
Priced good, great location. Pool could have been maintained better, but was still enjoyable with my young son.
The location was perfect room large and staff was friendly. Overall a nice visit.
Hotel is nice but a little pricey. staff is nice, rooms are clean, and location is close to shopping.
Great location, staff was very friendly and room was very clean.
The hotel was clean and quiet and the continental breakfast was great with a nice selection of breakfast items. Also the staff was very helpful with questions on directions to various places in which they printed out for us. They also assisted us in printing our boarding passes. The only problem we had was finding the hotel. There is no easy way from the freeway to get to it. Other than that, I strongly recommend it.
Staff was very helpful. Loved the shuttle service to riverfront. Driver was friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was very good. Room was neat and clean. A very pleasurable experience. Ken Cartier
Checkin was quick and easy, nicefitness room and pool but the room was better than expected. The newly designed space allows a couple options when 2 people don't want to be doing the same activity with seperated sitting area. The microwave, fridge and coffee area was a pleasant surprise. Best of all the bedding was fresh and comfotable without the smell of laundry chemicals. Location is convenient to Pittsburgh yet away from the rush.
