Hotel convenience vans from and back to the airport every 30 minutes. Good breakfast Decent hotel food menu/bar/wine Great beddings
This hotel is very clean and upgraded. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, for the price I paid for the room, I expected there would be a mini-refigerator in the room (at least). Also, when I went downstairs in the morning for the breakfast buffet, it was not mentioned that the breakfast was not complimentary. In fact, there was no mention of it at all, or any sign letting guests know. It was only after I got my food and sat down that a waitress came up to me and handed me a check. $16 for the same-old powdered egg breakfast bar...even if you only get cereal! If the food was spectacular I would understand the price, but I've stayed at lower end places with better breakfast bars that were complimentary. Other than the breakfast an lack of a fridge in the room, everything was great!
As we have two young daughters, our time alone is seldom. We booked a room at the Sheraton on Thorn Run Rd, Coraopilis PA, with the intentions of going out for dinner and drinks since they "provided" a free shuttle anywhere within 5 miles until 1 am. However upon going out to dinner, which we were driven to by the hotel, we asked to be taken to another destination. It was approximately 10:45 pm when the driven who was extremely rude, short and was obviously having a bad day stated that we weren't his "priority" and the the shuttle was done for the night because they had contracts with the airport. Upon arriving back to the hotel, we sought the supervisor on duty who in a round about way said that to call a taxi, however there are no taxis servicing that area. He then stated that the driver should have handled and worded it differently but ultimately, we were in the for night. I was very disappointed with the level of service offered this time at the Sheraton for our previous stay with them was excellent. However after being told that we didn't matter and to much deal with it, I will most likely never stay there again.
I had an early flight so I decided to check into a hotel. I looked for one with a shuttle to the airport. I saw it was recently renovated so I chose the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel. It was very clean and attractive. The only staff I interacted with were checking in, checking out and the shuttle driver. They were all very kind, courteous and polite. I couldn't say enough about the staff. And no, I'm not related to any of them. I was impressed with the free Wi-Fi (most hotels charge). And they also provided free water and coffee in the hotel room, something you don't always find. That being said, the ONLY reason I did not give a 5 star rating is the shower. Although it was new, the shower was for a handicapped person. I'm not handicapped, but if I were, I never would have been able to access the hand held shower because it was so high. The water leaked out of the shower all over the floor and I had to clean that up. And as nice as that bathroom and hotel room was, I think they must have put in the cheapest handheld shower they could have come across. It leaked, it was weak and getting a decent shower was impossible. If they could fix that problem, it would be an awesome place to stay.
This is probably one of the worst hotels you could stay at for comfort and quality. Sure, it looks nice being recently remodeled. However the cleanliness of the hotel was not what you would desire. The noise level too is horrible. At all hours of the night all you hear are loud bangs, children running, and talking. The shuttle service is misleading. The website says every 10 mins. The staff says every 30, which is true....in the morning. Unlike most other Pittsburgh airports they are call on demand in the evening. They failed to tell us that. I ended up waiting over an hour all in all to be picked up at the airport. The location is lousy. The staff are obviously not what they need to be. I would never stay again.
Fine for all experiences, the service desk is useful, I've found a great hospitality.
The great staff made the stay awesome. Loved hanging at the bar.
This hotel was nice. The only bad thing was it was under renovations and was not aware of this. They had a tiny bar shoved in a little room. Getting to the room it looked awful but the room itself was very nice and comfortable. The price was great. Would stay again. Does not look very kid friendly.
The hotel was under construction which made it a bit uncomfortable. The pool was freezing, and it stated in the amenities that the was a microwave well there wasn't but we called to the front desk and had one in storage that the brought up for us to use. Very comfortable beds, and large bathroom.
