I had been following the recent reviews on Trip Advisor for this hotel and was a bit apprehensive as all had something negative to say . But I am so happy to have been proved wrong . We stayed at the hotel for 5 days from 16th to 21st October and have nothing but praise for them. From a nice welcome with cool drinks we were pleasantly surprised when we were informed that our booking for a Deluxe room with Jacuzzi was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite . We had a very spacious bedroom, an equally spacious living room and a lovely balcony with a built in Jacuzzi overlooking the pool . Really perfect The manager Mr Joe , is an extremely pleasant and helpful person and all the staff , right from the security to housekeeping to reception were unfailingly polite . We found the property well maintained , the pools were cleaned regularly and any maintainence or housekeeping needs we had were dealt with quickly. We did not have too many meals there , but tried the mooktalay restaurant and the food was delicious . They have a kids play area , a huge common swimming pool , as well as many smaller pools shared between a few rooms and the resort is extremely child friendly. The distance from the beach could be a deterrent for some but since we hired a bike for our stay , we actually enjoyed the quieter surroundings whilst being able to move around freely. We plan to be back soon as a larger group of friends and would definitely choose this hotel again ...highly recommended . Thanks for a lovely stay
Stayed for two nights at the resort and was expecting a lot more. Had a room with jacuzzi which was nice but shared my bathroom with a family of ants. Maybe something small but the two movie channels kept freezing and it took 7 attempts over two nights to resolve. In the end gave up. There is a shuttle service to and from the hotel to Patong. This is handy but last is 8pm. After that I tried to book a hotel car but nothing was available on two occasions so had to walk to the main road and get a tuk-tuk. What I disliked most was the "it's not our fault" attitude of some of the staff. Breakfast was poor. Overall not a great experience.
1/ Location - map wise, this accommodation is just nice at the fringe of patong. -However, as it lies along a major uphill road, traffic is a terror and getting out of the resort Everyday is very stressful. The security guard isn't of much help unlike other hotels. 2/ Room - the furniture are all quite worn, some badly in need of maintenance. The toilet door handle almost fell apart when it was pulled to shut the door. The maintenance guy had simply tried to knock it in place with his hands but we had insisted it needed tools to fix it, which he eventually did. - the water in the jacuzzi at the balcony is all brown, even the toilet bowl... Which we believe is due to rusty pipes. - wifi connection is not stable, causing cable TV to freeze in frames frequently - cable TV channels were all listed wrongly on the channel lost and some were not even available - the pool villas near our rooms were under renovation and it started at 8am! We had to call the reception to complain which surprisingly they were unaware there was renovation in their premise until they sent someone to check. 3/Breakfast - for 530baht/person breakfast, there was only yoghurt, some fried noodles/rice 2-3 Asian dish, sausage, 2-3 selection of bread, cornflakes station, egg station, we were expecting more selection for such hotel 4/ vouchers - upon check in we were presented coupons to promotional massage package. Do note that there is specific timing to utilise which didn't make sense to us. As a frequent traveller to Phuket, we were familiar with the resor standards. For the price paid, we were certain we could find better accommodation.
We ended up at this hotel at the last minute as a previous booking at another property had gone wrong and this was the nearest available hotel, we intended to stay for one night. * reception staff - without exception very friendly and helpful on checking in for One night they upgraded us to a nicer room as I think they seen we were at our wits end after 24 hours travel followed by 2 hours looking for a hotel. We ended up staying for a week and really this was due to the kind attitude of the reception staff. * rooms - we stayed in a pool suite which had its own private pool, the suite was very nice, spotlessly clean and air con was great. TV channels did not work well, a blessing for me but maybe annoying for others, the pool was nice to look at but was actually too cold to use, the showers were also very cold on a couple of days for some reason apart from that the hotel was great. * food- the restaurants are great food is amazing and best we had all holiday, there is one restaurant which looks newly refurbished the Alfa and they literally could not do enough for you the service was impeccable in both the restaurant and bar. Bars - the upstairs pool bar the service was very hit and miss, there was one particular barman who was absolutely awful he seemed to be constantly flapping and in a bad mood and generally unhappy To be there, he didn’t check the drinks were cool and he didn’t have a clue about drinks I asked for a tom Collins and ended up with and Coke, it was also very slow and overall just a terrible attitude so we actually would have probably spent 3 times as much at the hotel but because of him we got hacked off and spent our money outside the hotel I can’t understand how a hotel can have 90 percent of staff who can’t do enough for you and then one barman like this so they lost a huge amount of custom and money from us. I would add there was another barman I wish I knew his name who was working the same bar who was very kind and helpful. * pool area -one pool was being refurbished so we couldn’t use it, the other pool with bar was in need of refurbishment, decking needed to be stained and sun beds were very few and split and broken. * bus service to patong beach ran on the hour it was great but you had to book in advance so it had to be planned, which wasn’t ideal we were booking one day ahead for the bus service
The resort is situated outside Patong with no sea views. There is a shuttle to Patong leaving hourly. However, this was honestly unsafe and the bus was overloaded. The hotel is old and needs a lot of care and attention. The room was fine but outdated. Certain areas like the bathroom, shower etc. need a very good scrub as they appear grimy. The food was horrid and was very little selection. Having travelled a lot, this is by far the worst hotel I have been to. A minor redeeming quality is that there is a jacuzzi on the balcony. It's a pity that the heater of the jacuzzi did not work either.
A very nice resort. In need of a little maintenance, nothing major but a lot of little things. There's a convenient shuttle bus into town every hour but it fills quickly so be sure to book before turning up. Bus starts too late and finishes too early 10:00 till 20:00. Not a major problems as lifts are cheap in Thailand. You need a lift in and out of the resort which is the only real pain. The single bedroom apartment we had was clean and serviced daily, probably too big for what we needed. Came with our own outdoor spa on the balcony that came in handy after a day out in hot and humid weather. Buffet breakfasts are great and good value, not as cheap as in town but as the bus doesn't start till 10:00 we chose to eat at the resort for the majority of the time.
It is a lovely looking resort from the pictures & walking around it is so peaceful and serine. Having a few small problems with room with toilet blocking and a bit smelly sometimes. Staff are just gorgeous always happy, smiling and helpful, however the day my daughter was sick and the toilet blocked "bad timing " I rang house keeping around 8 am again at 930ish then reception at 1130 each time I explained she was unwell, after ringing reception somebody showed up 5 mins later. Our jacuzzi could of done with a good clean but was still usable and the gorgeous bath would constantly drain so no relaxing bath 😢 and not much storage for so don't pack much.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded and our 1 bedroom jacuzzi suite was massive. Overlooking one of the 8 pools in the resort, with an inside spa bath and outdoor jacuzzi, king size bed, very spacious lounge and kitchenette. The staff are friendly and the views from the restaurants are stunning.
My boyfriend and I stayed here towards the end of our holiday in Phuket. It was by far the worst place we picked! The staff were clueless and refused to book us a taxi as the location of the hotel was on the edge of town we couldn't just walk to Patong. We had to cross over a crazy 4 lane road just to flag down a taxi in the right direction. DANGEROUS. -1* The breakfast bar had little to NO FOOD at ALL. We often just got breakfast when we went out. -1* The hotel is so big that you need a driver. (5-10 minute wait) -1* The room smell like mould, the aircon was noisy and the cleaners barely came. We slept in an un-clean bed for 2 night. GROSS. -1* OVERALL, it was a terrible experience and we won't be returning again. You're better to spend the extra money and stay elsewhere. 1.5 stars
