The staff are ignorant, unhelpful and downright rude! My friend and I were booked to stay in a deluxe room, we were put into a standard. We were thankfully moved however to a room which didn’t match the description of a deluxe room. I must say, there was a member of staff named Dom, he was genuinely the only part of our stay we enjoyed, he smiled and chatted, he was only there for 2-3 days of our staff unfortunately. One member of staff rolled his eyes at me when I asked for an additional pillow for my bed. Our tv stopped working half way through our 10 day stay which we made the staff aware of, by the most arrogant lady I was told on the phone that this was not her problem and that it wasn’t something the hotel could fix so it was not fixed. We were accused of ‘stealing’ a pool towel which we did not use as the pool area was vile. The pictures online are a lie, the hotel does not look like that. The breakfast was a horror show with steamed vegetables served up with rice, toast was available with stale bread. The WiFi doesn’t work. The bed sheets don’t get changed. Leaving the hotel we were accused of drinking cans from the mini bar as we had empty cans in the room, they clearly didn’t spot the full fridge of untouched drinks before making this accusation! The member of staff we met with as we were leaving didn’t even have the decency to say goodbye or thank you. I honestly cannot complain about this place enough, it was and I’m sure, continue to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I will never, EVER be back. And to think that we booked this through a travel agent (Barrhead Travel), thanks a lot guys.
Located at a distance of 1.5 km from patong beach.Rooms are nuce and they offer good buffet breakfast.But the problem is they serve very limited variety of food at dinner time.You can find a lots of massage parlour and food stall near the hotel.
Poorly trained staff. Very rude. They cant speak English. Deceiving pictures. Hotel is dirty. Sheets are not changed. Had to wait 2 days for someone to open my broken safe. Had no access to my own money. This incident happened to 5 members of my group. They accused me of stealing a towel which I never even used. I phoned for toilet paper. The lady at reception told me they put 2 rolls in this morning ( which they did not do) and then they hung up the phone in my ear. Breakfast is poor. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
We are currently staying at this hotel as this is what our travel agent booked. We did our laundry and was wanting to dry our clothes before leaving to Bangkok but the dryer isn't working & there is no sign to say so. We had to pay the same price for wash and dry just for drying our clothes, almost 9x the amount we would have paid if the hotel dryer was working. The hotel also could not dry our clothes but suggested to dry over the balcony. The staff are rude and literally ignore you when you ask for help, in some instances walking away from you whilst you are being polite. There was one lady Emmy which was a God-send for us at this hotel who was polite and helpful. Asking for a duty manager we were told that there isn't any manager on duty and that they return 08:30 the next day. To say that this accommodation experience made our Phuket experience horrid is an understatement. I hope that there is someone who actually responds on here as I'm still here for another day. Honestly, truly disappointed and will fervently not recommend people to stay at this crappy unfriendly hotel!!!!!!!
I booked this hotel and because i stayed for 3 nights was upgraded to a deluxe room which the room was very good. the maid cleaning the floor in which i stayed was super nice needless to say the reception was super rude. if you try to call reception from your room they will not answer phone, luckily they answered once i learned how to order room service which ended up being a disgrace to the green curry dish i love so much in thailand, but more over a watered down version :( in other words dont order room service. there breakfast is ok but not the best so i ordered scrambled eggs every day and ate a lot of fruits. because this hotel is kinda far from everything and the people outside will over charge you for everything, while the guy shows off his bmw cuz he knows how rich he is from ripping off every one and his slave cleaning the car for him everyday who doesnt really look thai but maybe from burma makes me feel sorry for him. i would highly recommend even if it may cost a little more use grab to go everywhere so you will feel safe and cannot get ripped off by not good people waiting outside to take advantage of you ie )guy with the red bmw the hotel is nice but i would try to look for a better location.this hotel gets two thumbs down for bad customer service and would recommend they hire people that are more accommodating to customers.
I had book this hotel from website! However when i call to Hotel to clarify airport shuttle services. The PIC is very rude to answer me and end my call! Oh My God! First time had Hotel talking so rude and unpolite!
Before booking this hotel, you have to understand one thing that the website is something and the hotel is something completely different! List of poor experience : 1. Lack of English. Excuse me, you work in reception and your English is very very poor! Or they try to speak fast and all english letters are eaten so you understand nothing 2. No view, or garbage view. It is very very unexpected! 3. No professinals. The guy who was doing check in, i think his name was Dun, had long nails with dirty things under them. 4. The strangest thing is that when we arrived it was 11am, room was not ready, i understand it, s we waited until the time of check in which supposed to be at 2pm. They said that the room will be td or six floor, the floor of gym, so wait. Ok, we waited, even though we were very very tired. We came back at 2pm, girl said that the room is still not ready, someone is still cleaning it, then male colleague said that it will be ready at 3pm! Then he said that people who stayed there extended the night, so we were checked in totally different room, which had no view. Then Dun or Dum said come back to reception as he had a solution. When we came back, he offered another room better but with extra fee per day. We refused. Then he said to give tips to the girl who opened the door and gave us keys of our room. Really, the arrival experience was destroyed from the very beginning. Only good this is location of hotel
Granted the pictures on the website do not depict the hotel today however the rooms are very clean so I was willing to overlook this. Besides, I did not go to Thailand to stay in my room so I was grateful for the clean sheets, towels and well functioning air-conditioning. Breakfast is interesting and different but I like a substantial meal at about 9:00 am then I don't need lunch and just have something for dinner. The biggest asset the Ashlee has is their staff. Dome the Night Manager is heaven sent. He made my trip so amazing. He was most accommodating. Also Nan in Reception was super sweet and helped my sisters when they complained that their bed was too hard, she facilitated their move to a more comfortable room. Also Sasi at the bar made the most amazing Cocktails. I have learnt that Thai people are very respectful and if you treat them with respect and speak to them respectively then they will go out of their way to assist you but if you have a bad attitude that is what you will get back. One area that requires improvement is the pool. Some umbrellas and more sun beds would help as there are only about 10 functioning beds.
Warning! This hotel looks nothing like pictures. You will be disappointed - the staff dont know how to speak english very well -The hotel is not clean and they dont change sheets regularly -The staff not helpful -pool is not clean and no umbrellas and the pictured of the food is deceiving -The breakfast place is in anothet building Terrible hotel to stay in We had booked 3 bedroom and they inserted a sponge looking steel bed. Very horrible. Beds are uncomfortable and everything was bad
My husband and I were so excited about traveling to Thailand. We received great service at the airport and the transfer service from the airport to the hotel was amazing. We had a private car with water and wet wipes which was needed as it was terribly humid. We arrived at the Ashlee hotel to find a friendly receptionist who did not speak much English which was expecting. The bell boy took us to our room which was not cleaned. We had to ask for it to be swept. Cables were showing from behind the tv. The curtain had a tear and a stain which i could not ignore. I asked the receptionist to move us to a different room which they did not, instead they kept telling me that the hotel is very busy, which it was. The next day, more guests checking in had the same problems. Some guests from India refused to enter the room on account of the dust and chose to leave. I watched the drama and disappointment on their faces. On a lighter note the breakfast is good. We like having dinner for breakfast. The buffet breakfast contained curries and rice and awesome salads. There is also the normal eggs and sausages however no bacon. The hotel is in a good location, next to the night market which we loved dearly. The staff were friendly just not helpful, if that makes sense. I will visit Thailand again just not the Ashlee.
