Hi All To say that we are disappointed in this so call promoted 4 / 5 star resort as indicated in different websites including Travelonline (our travel agent) is an understatement. We booked Super Delux Room and have been upgraded at check in to the Diamond Suite, we thought we were lucky!!! But the the problems we had you would only see in 2-3 star accommodation. From stains and food on walls, pictures and lounges, wall paper coming off the wall to power points and phones falling off the wall, leaving exposed wires. The soap holder in the bathroom was nearly falling off the wall and then being stuck back on with no more gaps tile filler. The cleaning seems to be non existent in some areas especially considering what level of Resort they are claiming to be, especially in the bathroom/shower and balcony, the human hair wrapped around the chair leg, etc There was a rotting timber and lack of safety rails in some areas of the balcony. We arrived very late at night and being exhausted we were concerned with the look of the reception area, that looked very old and run down. We complained about the problems the following morning at reception and they offered a free dinner at an in house buffet (no drinks!!!) The following morning we have woken to a flooded bathroom with a broken pipe in the wall, then we really had enough and asked the agent back in Australia to transfer us to a different resort as we were not interested to look at any other rooms offered by Diamond Cliff staff. It seems that's there was a lot of renovation happening around the resort, creating a lot of notice while on the resorts website they claim that the refurbishment has finished on the 10th of September!! We must admit some arrears of the resort do not look too bad like the breakfast area, the pool and the bar beside it, but not being a 5 star standard as claimed. The gym was very modern and seems to be the most modern and refurbished area of the resort. The Ocean view bar at reception area was absolutely designating, the chairs have greasy stains, scratched and very old. This whole experience reflects badly not only on the so called resort, but also on Travelonline as we assumed that holiday that is being promoted as 5 star would meet a standard. We are very disappointed as we lost 2 days of our holidays dealing with issues and changing to another resort. Be aware of the star ratings of the hotels in Thailand as the travel agent told us after we have complained they have never visited this resort!!
We had a short holiday in Phuket and decided to check in at Diamond Cliff. All staff are warm and friendly. They always greet with a smile. Breakfast was lovely and we really enjoyed the pool. Room is spacious and clean, with sea view.
My husband and I stayed in the Romantic suite for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved the place. The view from our suite was amazing and we enjoyed sunset cocktails most evenings. All the restaurants were amazing, breakfast had a very large choice of food and all very fresh. The staff all through out were very helpful, even though sometimes it was a Struggle to communicate effectively. The upper level pool has a small slide and a swim up pool bar, where they have a half price happy hour from 3-5pm and have amazing cocktails.
On holiday here with my husband through a Luxury Escapes Package. OMG this place is amazing. Cannot pick fault with anything. All staff are friendly and courteous, rooms are beautifully equipped, decorated and spotlessly clean. Ensuite is large with everything you need and very clean. Pool areas are well set out, water is crystal clear, plenty of lounges to lay on, towels provided and bars in both areas. Restaurants are fantastic with the Buffet breakfast our highlight of each morning. Jumping into the courtesy vehicle to get back to our room is great for those tired legs. Shuttle bus is handy to get into town and the Transfers to and from airport is nothing but luxury. Beach views from lots of location's. Most definitely be back here to stay recommending it to family and friends. Loved our stay 😊
Great hotel! Our room was so big and had an amazing view of the ocean :) The staff were so attentive to all our needs and helped us arrange taxis when we needed to go anywhere :) The swimming pool was the highlight of the hotel as was so big :)
We just had a fabulous 12 night stay at this resort staying in one of the ocean suites. Great view of the waterfall pool and the Andaman sea from what was a very large and comfortable suite of rooms. The resort is built on a fairly steep site with plenty of steps but we enjoyed the exercise most of the time taking the shuttle from the lobby to the upper area of the resort on only a few occasions. The resort is in a quiet location on the outskirts of Patong and has a one way shuttle several times per day into the mall in the heart of Patong. We took the shuttle on the first day but chose to walk the 2+ km to and from the commercial area each day, mostly walking along the beach. The buffet breakfast was really good as were the dining facilities there. Both the Ocean pool and the Waterfall pool were great places to cool off with a swim and or a snack/ drink during the day. The staff were pleasant, courteous and very responsive to any of our needs. It was always service with a smile. Overall we were very impressed with the resort from and accomodation, scenic and service perspective and we will definately return for another relaxing stay in the future. Thank you for great stay.
Great resort to stay at it is a bit out of town but still walkable if you like walking. Just a quick Tuk tuk ride away. The resort has everything you need and we would stay here again the only draw back is for people that have trouble with stairs as there are stairs everywhere.
Sorry for bit long feedback but I have tried to cover as much as I can: We had booked grand suite for young family of 4 for 7 nights.I was not so confident about my choice because my expectations were so high.Probabaly like any young family,I prefer luxurious stay in budget price🤣 But Diamond cliff didn't disappoint me!Kids' club was under renovation so we didn't used it at all but my kids even didn't get bored(5 yo & 2yo).Breakfast was included in our stay & every day plenty of choices-It was pretty much brunch for us.Breakfast on pool side plus oceanview was winning location! Extremely helpful, active & always smiley staff made sure that we enjoy our brekkie with 2 kids(special thanks to Fira & Immi). 1kg fruit was complimentry from hotel.Go to hotel fruit shop-select your choice of fruit & staff will wash & cut it for you.We had dinner twice in hotel/bar plus one time as room service.Dinner was honesty not outstanding but it was good.we also had snacks & cocktails while we used main swimming pool.massage & spa were expensive in resort so we had it in Jungceylon shopping centre in less than half price. Talking about rooms; grand suite(2710)was nice & very spacious even after sofabed & baby cot.Room is with walk in Robe.Room had balcony with view of swimming pool & Andaman sea. After continuous rain for almost 2 days,Water was leaking from ceiling so We got upgrade for family room(2507)with 2 bedroom-living area.Room was 2 storey & with balconies on both level.Again nice & super spacious for us.Aircon & TV in all rooms & freeze on both level, jacuzzi upstair & showers/toilets on both levels were bonus. Resort staff is prompt in service, shuttle cars are running up-down every 5 mins for your pick up drop offs, convinient location & about 200 THB to City mall however resort also provide one way shuttle to mall 4 times a day.Airport pick up & drop off was arranged by resort for us in total 2000 THB.Resort had arranged complimentary anniversary cake for our special day too. Overall It was perfect stay for us-we had some small problems but those has been resolved straight away with out any 2nd reminders. If we will be flying phuket again,Diamond cliff will be our choice to stay!
The hotel was quite nice but it was up a very steep hill and you had to climb up and down steps no matter were you go in the hotel. They do have a trolley to take you so far. The place is also about 2 kilometres from the main town. They do provide a shuttle one way only about three times a day. To get back the tuk tuk is 200 bht. They do not offer you a return, like most hotels.
Rooms great bed comfy great service views amazing food options varied but can't go past authentic Thai breakfast amazing so much to select from staff are beautiful pools are beautiful .. will definitely return Thank you
