I love Sea View Patong Hotel on Patong Phuket. The food is excellent. The staff is over friendly and always willing to help. It is situated in the perfect spot. Close to shops and open 24 hours daily.

Very very nice staff. The food was amazing and the location is very good. The pool was litery very cool and the rooms spacious. The girl in the reception was handeling us with care. All in all, we had a great experience!

Very cozy and nice atmosphere. Amazing view! The breakfast is good! Reception is very nice and the staff very friendly. The swimingpool is also very good and the location is good. You have shops next to the hotel and the all clubs nearby

Sadly for us the Seaview Patong has deteriorated quite badly on a number of aspects relating to our overall experience. In 2012, everything was great - especially our room and the breakfasts. This time around it was only OK. Staff were once again wonderful and tried to accomodate our requests on all occasions. Our room left a lot to be desired - in a nutshell, it was looking tired. The mattress on our bed was smaller than the frame of the bed and we therefore didn't have the right size mattress. However, it was OK and we slept on it - even though it must be the hardest mattress we've ever slept on. The bathroom was really looking tired - don't know if it ever got cleaned properly or if the taps and the toilet were ever checked? They worked, but only just (small leaks behind the toilet) and therefore it was OK for the 9 days we were there. Don't know if the bedding was ever changed while we were there - however it was OK. Breakfast was OK - nothing exciting and it seems that the choices have become less since 2012. Buffet supper - nothing to rave about - very plain and simple - however it was OK. Sadly though, wouldn't go back for another buffet. The Seaview is still in a GREAT location and has lots going for it. However I think it is time for the owners to consider a revamp. Freshen up the whole hotel and make the rooms look a lot more appealing. Enjoyed our stay once again - especially the hours we spent around the pool. However, if and when we go back to Phuket, we would look at another hotel if the Seaview has not made any significant changes. We prefer more than OK when we go on holiday!

I was incredibly pleased with my experience at the Seaview Hotel at Patong, the entire staff is friendly and the feeling isn't that of a hotel, you actually feel like you are staying with long time friends. Mr. Wannarat Ninsan, the manager and Tickey, the lovely assistant manager have mastered the art of hospitality. The food is delicious and the ambiance is delightful, thank you for making my experience in Phuket one that I'll never forget and I can't wait to return. S. Jackson

Its a good place to be here, they have good big rooms, well ventilated, have Tv, big swimming pools to accommodate all ages, good food dinner & breakfast, come join us. You missing out come check in to enjoy good reception tikky yunita opik buuny with friendly people

It's good thing being @ sea view hotel, good reception well ventilated rooms good food , good swimming pools they are many things to enjoy on, they are many shops to go & do your shopping many fun games by the sea also many things to relax on spur, massages

Room , food , service and reception good and I like the hotel is next to the sea and the hotel is very good and they can help with every including the languages and the also have nice gym and the beautiful spar for the massages

We are over 60 years old and when we arrived there was no one there to help us with our cases, we had to lug them up two flights of stairs while the reception looked on. They seemed to battle to find us rooms even though we had booked 6 months in advance. After a long delay we were eventually taken to our rooms but the bellboy lead us on a merry chase and after wandering about behind him for 15 minutes he eventually found our rooms!!!! Our rooms, on the bottom floor, overlooked the river and a fishing village, our rooms smelt musty as if they were seldom used or the curtains were never opened. We just wanted to go out and eat and get to bed so we accepted the situation. At the end of the next day we returned to our rooms to find them virtually unserviced, the duvet roughly pulled up, one towel missing, one towel still wet and on the side of the bath, no toilet paper. When we complained they said they only change the towels every second day unless specifically requested. They could not explain why they had taken one towel and not replaced it or the absence of toilet paper or why the curtains had not been opened. When the other couple we were with, in the next room, checked their sliding door to the balcony, it would not lock, on investigation they found that the fixed catch on the frame was missing and the lock looked like it had been jimmied may times. Maintenance came and fixed it. I then checked mine and the same catch had one screw missing and the other hanging on by a thread. The maintenance guy came in a latched the door and said there was “no problem” and it did not need fixing, I grabbed a teaspoon and stuck it in the jamb and with the slightest of force the door opened and the latch landed on the floor. He got in a huff and left, it is now midnight and I called reception 3 times and went there twice. I eventually gave up and it was agreed that the manager would come to my room a 9am the next morning. It then became evident that the reason those rooms are seldom used or the curtains opened. They have obviously been burgled on many occasions. Guess what? No manager at 9 am, when he eventually conceded to an in situ meeting he was like the worst hybrid of Mr Fawlty and Manuel. They have absolutely no standards or check lists. The hotel has good facilities and potential but the entire staff from the manager down need replacing or retraining. I would suggest Agoda and Hotels.com remove them from their listing until they prove they have rectified things.
