Room is morden & spacious. We especially enjoyed the outdoor dining at the hotel. The staffs were also very welcoming and kind, we were treated very well throughout our whole stay. My husband loved the swimming pool.

We stayed for few night at Novotel. Hotel room was big and cleaned. Breakfast was ok nothing special about it. Hotel was really close to restaurants and to the beach. Hotel provides free schedule from and to the beach or patong.

We loved staying here and we were even upgraded to an executive room for no apparent reason, so that was wonderful. It is an extremely steep little road up to the hotel from beach and town level, but the walk is short and even in 38 degree heat, was alright. It meant we had a lovely view of the sea. When we wanted extra water or tea bags, they were very accommodating and friendly. We loved the restaurant and the staff there too. The only complaints I have is that the bathroom had variable attention - sometimes not the right towels, sometimes one towel folded but not the others, the flower at the beginning looked more and more limp but was never moved, and there was no conditioner - they said that the shampoo was conditioning shampoo and didn't believe me when I said it wasn't. In fact, we stayed at a Novotel in Bangkok which had 6 different bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc. Perhaps they need to check this. Also, they didn't clean the drawer where we had been making our tea so there were old teabags and dirty cups which we had to take care of every day ourselves, since they didn't look at this drawer, even though that is where the cups, etc were!

Novotel Kata Avista was everything we hoped for during our family holiday. We had the Karon suite on the top floor overlooking the pool and sea. We lost a night unfortunately due to Qatar airways (don't ask) but the staff were fantastic from the moment we stepped foot into the reception area. Breakfast was excellent and waiting staff Rat, Fred and Joy were always first to offer assistance whenever we needed it and looked after our children's needs during meal times. The room was spacious and clean and bath tub was amazing (although it does take a bit of time to fill up) An amazing stay and we wouldn't hesitate staying again. The hill up to the hotel just burns off the fab food we had and wasn't an issue for us at all. Thanks everyone 👍🏼👍🏼

It's always nice to be greeted by the GM and get a room upgrade. It's very good value and the spa is clean and professional. We'll be back I hope. There,s a very steep hill to walk Dow and up to get to the beach but that's about the only negative. Staff are lovely!

Our little family came and stayed for 5 amazing days and we were so pleasantly surprised with everything that it was a bit sad to leave. Arriving past midnight (and a ridiculous hour in the morning back home for us), we were invigorated with a welcome drink, a big smile and even an ascot to our room, all without having to drag our luggage ourselves. It was a good start already. The room was massive, so much so our little 2 year ago discarded all jetlag and was thrilled to run from one end to another. As a lot of hotel goes, unless they are brand new, you will always have wear and tear but as long as they are presentable, clean and pleasant, this Novotel is of a good standard and I'm sure anyone will be happy with their choice. As parents to a toddler, and one who requires every ammenities they can get, to have a kitchen sink and china and all, it's not every hotel you see one. The staff - if you stay any longer than 2 nights and be bothered to befriend most of them, you may soon recognised all of them! And we did. How much more pleasant it was to feel like they treated you like family. We knew each of their names; we saw them from breakfast to the pool bar to the house keeping and dinner. Even the spa girls! Everyone is with a smile; everyone is warm and sincere and ever so hands on to help you. Try it, learn their names and language and culture. As for some reviews saying the hotel is isolated? I wouldn't put it that way. It's in a quiet spot up the hill. As long as you navigate down, within 3 mins and you will get shops and all. For families, it is no wonder many advice is to avoid Patong. We will try to be back again. Thank you so much for the hospitality. All of you will be much missed.

Beautiful property n location. Mr Rajeev Parashar made us feel v comfortable. Staff very sweet. Overall a beautiful experience. Lukin forward to visiting the hotel again and staying for a longer period

We loved staying here. The staff is great as is the secluded location. We enjoyed the restaurant especially for breakfast. What a large variety of both western and Thai foods. Ale, the director of food and beverages, was so attentive and caring. We got to know the dining room staff very well and were taken care of by A, Jom and Rat. The hotel is lovely, spotless and has many amenities. The spa, especially the Thai massage, was the best. Mina took good care of us in the spa. Our room,502, had a stunning view of the ocean and hills. Loved it!

After travelling for 3 weeks in Asia we went to this hotel/spa to relax for four days before heading back home. Rooms: all very well decorated and spacious. Large screen TV with many languages to choose from. Each room has a balcony with two chairs and a table. The bathrooms were clean and modern. Never any trouble with water pressure or temperature. The AC was excellent and it was able to maintain our room cool. The cleaning staff were very polite and kept our room clean. They came by in the am and in late afternoon to refresh our rooms. Front reception was very helpful, some of the staff at the front desk had difficulty with the English language. However, they tried to help us with our needs. Reception is wide open and it can get hit in the afternoon. The dining room was very clean and their servers always willing to help and had smiles on their face. The management here has done a great job training these folks. The food was very well presented and the variety was great. The breakfasts were plentiful and you had the choice from local cuisine to western food. We were surprised not to be able to find bananas and mangos on their fruit baskets. There are two pools and not very large. The one on the upper level has a swim up bar and they can also order you light lunch or snacks. Happy hour was a popular time at the pool. The lower pool is mainly used by young families and it is half the size from the one on top. You will bring your blue beach towels which are in your room. The grounds are impecable clean. We saw a couple of gardeners every day working around the the building. All of the staff will greet you with a smile and make you feel at home. We visited the spa on several occasions and we had a terrific experience. The girls at the spa made us feel so welcome, and they clearly showed their professionalism and knowledge. Prices were higher than on the street massage boutiques but you pay for the spa which is so well decorated and peaceful. (Please see my review on the spa for more information) The bad: -The beach is a 5 minute walk down the hill. However, if you choose to walk back to the hotel that hill will make you work. So wear comfortable shoes. We always stopped halfway up and purchased our fruit smoothies from the two ladies in the small kiosk. These smoothies were cheap and tasty. (Highly recommend them) -The dining room was wide open. Lots of fans, but if you go late at night be ready to wear mosquito repellent as they come out at this time. Also the tables at the edge of the dining room by the pool are designated for smokers. We found a lot of the times the cigarette smoke will drift inside the dining room making your dining experience not so good. -We arrived with 17 others and the porters were overwhelmed with luggage. We only saw two porters and we asked ourselves why they only had two knowing in advanced when a large group was checking in. Needless to say we had to carry our luggage to our rooms. The porters only took the luggage out of the bus on to reception. -The hotel has a small van that will transport you to the beach and it town. However, their schedule is very thin and not frequent. So most people ended up walking. In conclusion, we would have given this hotel a 4.5 to a 5 if little issues were solved. Also, we would have eaten more at their restaurant but we could Not handle the smokers and they had no indoor dining room with AC which at the end of the day after all the heat it would be nice to sit and relax while having your meal. We highly recommend this hotel as it is very clean, romantic surrounded by beautiful gardens. Warning: Taxis or Tuc-Tucs outside the hotel are almost 50% more than what you pay if you walk down to the main road.

We only stayed for two nights in this hotel but it was such a nice experience. Great breakfast buffet selection, exceptional staff (we really felt taken care off). Just need minor improvements inside the hotel rooms like a little renovation/repainting, more complete set of vanity/toiletries kit - there was no toothbrush and body lotion (although I normally bring my own every time I travel so I could live with that). They also have a nice pool and a game room where you can play table tennis and pool. It was really a relaxing and enjoyable stay. :)
