We had 6 nights here this month at this quiet hotel, which is half-way between Karon & Kata, along Patak Rd. The large room was comfortable, although the AC is the old-fashioned built-in type unit in the ceiling, rather than one of the modern devices, which are much better. Swimming pool area was very nice, though the liner on the bottom of the pool at the deep end has come loose and needs fixing/replacing. The beach is a 25min walk in either direction along Patak Rd which we expected, whilst the nearest 7/11's in either direction are 15mins walk away which is very unusual in Thailand. Ideal if you want somewhere quiet and out of the way, or are happy to either have long walks or get tuk tuks. Most people staying here seemed to have either motorbikes or cars
The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff are overly helpful and friendly. The pool is big and clean with a nice view over the village. It is a bit of a walk to the village, but this makes your visit quite and relaxed..
I just stayed at Manora for 2.5 weeks with my family the place is great has a few up and downsides as other users already wrote. The reception staff was great especially Mrs. Ploy always had a smile and was very helpful with organising trips and answering questions. The pool area is very slippery when wet, careful, and some tiles are loose a few to many chemicals in the water gave my kids a skin rush. Breakfast is OK but you choose between 5 similar menus when you stay long maybe you looking for some change in menue. Location is great, if you like quiet places. Rooms are nice and specious, Room neighbours always smoked on the balcony which was not so nice. Overall I would stay here again if I come to Phuket again. One star off for the super ugly towels they provide to the guest rooms (pic) My kids did not care.
Room was super clean though you could not miss noticing that some water damages on the walls had been covered with paint. Hotel offers shuttle service to the beach. Usually three star hotels offer banquet style breakfast, pool towels and waiters in the pool bar. Manohra did not. Reception is in the first floor not in the ground floor. Rooms are in the second floor. No elevator so you should be in good condition the climb the floors up to your room. Pay attention to small height differences in the floor tiling which you can find all over the building. At the pool the tiling is extremely slippery when wet. I prefer room looking to the garden. The staff in the reception was friendly and helpful.
We spent 3 nights here while scuba diving in Phuket. We were not in the room much as we were out diving everyday so we did not take advantage of the pool and restaurant. The location was a little off the main road so it was really quiet. The room was very large and had a nice balcony. However, the bed was not very comfortable; you could feel each coil in the mattress. Also, the water shower head didn't stay on the wall so the bathroom got very wet when showering (not just in the tub!).
The staff were extremely friendly from the welcome. They are super laid back and chilled at the hotel we came and went at crazy hours. It was great as there were two entrances through the main reception and through the back steps near the pool so we could come in without disturbing anyone. Pool area was great we chilled there to sunbathe some days and had chilled drinks and beers for a reasonable price in comparison to lower down on the main strip in Karon. It was a 24hour pool so with the temperature being pretty high sometimes after nights out we took a dip in the pool to cool down and was a nice treat to the end of an evening. The sunset view from the pool was also so beautiful couldn't fault it. The set menu breakfast on a morning was okay and you got plenty with it. Was great when you couldn't be bothered to venture out and have a chiller day. Although there were great restaurants at reasonable prices nearby. Location wise we were about a 10 minute from the start of the main strip in Karon where all the main bars restaurants and nightlife was. The beach was about 15mins walk away. You could also walk into Kata from where we were too and for the adventurous walkers you could do a 2 and half hours hike up to the famous Big Buddha and viewpoints (which you can actually see from Karon Beach sea which was cool) but you can also grab a tuk tuk or a hire a scooter to get there too, a nice easy ride. It was the first hotel we stayed in Thailand to start our backpacker travelling trip so we treat it as a holiday an is great for that type of thing.
This is a very good hotel to stay at if you are looking for a budget hotel. You will not find many more hotels at a better price. When we arrived I was pleased with the conditions and service. Staff were very friendly and always tried to help. The room was kept clean although we did have a small hole in our ceiling as well as a gecko living with us for the length of our stay which hides behind the tv. Now, what I didn't like was when we arrived, we arrived late afternoon and when straight out for dinner. We didn't unpack or even change as we were so hungry. When I arrived back and turned the lights on there was ink on the bed sheets which I have pictures for. As I thought, the next day when the cleaners came in we was accused by reception of causing this ink damage. I explained that it was there originally but unsurprisingly not believed. Luckily enough, they got the ink out and didn't charge us but I was most definitely not paying for it if they had charge. And I did not like being accused. We don't have any ink or pens between us in any bags ether. Other than this, the hotel was clean and the pool was good. Wifi was quick as well. Thank you for our stay, but I do not appreciate the bed sheet situation.
We spent 1,5 weeks in Manohra. The staff was very friendly, they helped us whenever we got questions regarding itineraries or when we wanted to rent a motorbike. The pool is accessible 24/7, it is very clean and nice, you can swim in a hot afternoon while listening to some music coming from the bar. Our room was spacious and cleaned every day with a beautiful view to the rainforest. The hotel's location is very ideal as it is a 15 mins walk from the center and the beach, and it is placed a bit further (2 min walk) from the highway, so no noise is coming from the streets. For breakfast you can choose from 5 different plates which are all very delicious, you always get some fruits too. However after a week, there is no variety in the food so it becomes a bit boring. I would suggest changing the breakfast options every week :) Definitely recommend this hotel!
