Beautiful hotel! Especially the swimming pool area was very nice. Not a huge resort with lots of travelers with children. Could be the best place for people who want to have relaxing vacation at a quiet resort. I really enjoyed spending time at the pool side even though the pools were not very big. The quality of food at the restaurants was also very good. Breakfast was nice. Not a huge variety of options but everything was delicious. We also had dinner at Portosino restaurant, they served very nice Italian pasta. We ordered a room service at night, not much options but food was nice. And also had afternoon tea on the last day, the settings were cute but the quality of dessert was just ok. One drawback, their spa was quite disappointing. The masseuses were not very skilled, definitely much below average standard in Thailand. Better go somewhere else. And also be warned that the hotel is not located at the beach nor have a private beach. You have to do a fair amount of walk and cross the road to go to Karon beach. But it was good to visit shops and restaurants nearby. There are number of convenience stores, fruit stalls, money exchangers and restaurants within 10-15min walking distance from the hotel. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
We had a short break and we wanted to be somewhere not too crowded. We decided to book here for a couple nights. Room : the view is breathtaking. You can see beautiful blue water during the day and amazing Sunset in the evening from your balcony if your room type is on the higher floors. Breakfast : big selection of food. Live cooking station etc. Staffs : they all amazing!! Thanks to Khun Bell and team! Location : it is in walking distance to Karon beach and restaurant. I mean just a few minutes. And Karon is one of the best family beaches i could say. Not surrounded by bars. There are some but not like patong. Wide sidewalks along the beach.
We enjoyed our stay here and were very happy with our room. We had a Seaview room which overlooked the swimming pool and a local sports ground. And the sea in the distance. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. And there was constant hot water for a great shower or bath. The hotel is quite small and the grounds were pretty but not extensive.Whilst the hotel is very well kept and sparkling clean, outside is not so great. It did not have a resort feel to it but maybe that’s not a bad thing. Breakfasts were ok,we’ve had better in other Mgallery hotels. The hotel and restaurant is definitely set up for families and there were a lot of children there. Alain the manager was a charming man ,who made a point of interacting with guests and offering some very useful advice and information. Unfortunately we could not afford to eat and drink in Portosino the main restaurant due to the escalated wine and beer prices and the cost of European style meals. We did have room service one night and chose the bolognaise and fish and chips ,as we had been eating Thai food every other day. It was delivered hot and very nice. I used the spa services and had a great body massage and facial. I also had an Indian head massage which wasn’t so good and very expensive .. I would recommend this hotel for its friendliness and cleanliness, and thank all staff for making us welcome.
We got a free upgrade to the Jacuzzi room for the entire 5 nights which was great! We initially had second thoughts when booking direct because the price was slightly higher than through Hotels.com but it was definitely the right choice because as Accor members, they upgraded our room. They also decorated our room and we got a free cake as well since we mentioned it was a special occasion. We have also stayed at Avista Hideaway Phuket. This one is newer and more modern but Avista Hideaway is actually more "grande" and luxurious with its 3 swimming pools, features and isolated location. However, this one is in a better location as the beach is just a few hundred meters away and there are numerous restaurants nearby. It really depends on where you want to stay - Patong or Karon. Staff are really good and accommodating, breakfast has many varieties and the traditional dishes changes daily so it can be hit and miss sometimes (mangoes run out quickly but if you ask the staff, they will get you some straight away). It was an excellent stay and no issues. Definitely recommended and hope you get the free upgrade as we did!
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the team at AVISTA GRAND during our week stay in phuket. The standards of service at your hotel were exceptional. The treatment we received was more than we could ever have hoped for. Our daily needs and breakfast arrangements was handled speedily by professional staff members like Jessica who made us feel so special with their solicitous service. They even remembered our tea and coffee preference as well as spicy ingredients like chilli padi were readily brought to our table in the mornings. The effort the staff went to when helping us with the cooking classes was received with much gratitude. Their chefs (Chef Kung & Chef Jim) were friendly and professional and we really very much enjoyed the delicacies whipped up. Thank you for your hospitality and the care and concern you showed for our comfort. The staff makes sure each guest feels welcome and important. We were so lucky to have met such a great team at AVISTA. Also, their knowledgeable approach were the secret ingredients that allowed us to make the most of a marvelous trip!! Thumbs up AVISTA! THANKS AGAIN. :)
We had an amazing time at Avista Karon - everything was a seamless experience, from checking in, breakfast, to providing us with anything we requested for, and checking out. The room was amazing - spotless all the time and facilities were great for a leisurely weekend trip. I would like to specially commend a few staff who made our stay an even greater one with their warm hospitality and thoughtfulness - a very special thank you to Bell, Vicky and Nook for taking such great care of us during our trip!
Arrived late from a long trip from the UK but were welcomed by a lovely lady who changed the booking so we could get rooms overlooking the pool. Nice start.. Room was great. The pool and other facilities etc were top notch. Staff were extremely helpful and always available if needed. Was a bit sceptical initially as it was my first visit to Phuket and I was also with the family but was pleasantly surprised. Car parking was free which was very useful as we hired a car to get around. We were also given 50% discounts on breakfast as an extra which was nice, and as we had a late flight back to the UK the front desk staff allowed us to have a 4pm late check out which was when we were leaving for the airport which was great! Altogether, a lovely experience overall - would highly recommend it!
We came back for the second time to Avista karon. Service remain the same which up to 5 star standards. Staffs were so welcome and warm smile same as before. Keep doing good job guys. Friendliness of staffs brought us here again and you guys have done a great job. This time we tried spa and it was superb. Recommend for anyone who had long flight or jet-lack. We will definitely be back again.
Room was perfect. Excellent facilities. Breakfast was delicious- great range of food. Staff were amazing. A very special thank you to Aiko on the Reception desk. My girlfriend misplaced her expensive sunglasses and we had presumed that they had been stolen as nothing turned up in the lost and found section on the day she lost them. We mentioned it briefly to Aiko when we checked out several days later. She immediately remembered that a pair of sunglasses had been handed in recently and followed up with the Manager. It was such a relief to have the glasses returned - thank you so much to Aiko and the other staff for your kindness, integrity and honesty.
It was one of the best relaxing hotel in Phuket. Since check in, we got a very warm welcome and introduction by friendly staff at lobby. Restaurant staff "Film" was so helpful and offered us good suggestion. We love Pool Access room. The view from roof top bar was a woww!! at sun set. Nothing to say, just come and relax here at Avista Karon.
