I have been to Phuket 11 times and have stayed in many hotels. The Woraburi was one of the best stays I have had. We were greeted warmly by May and a cool drink after a very long trip. We were early for check in and tired but May facilitated us by organising early check in. We did wait an hour but were ushered to a air conditioned waiting room. The room was very clean, fresh and exactly what we booked. We had a pool view room on the second floor. The pool was refreshing and had a nice pool bar with friendly staff who bought fresh fruit to patrons in the afternoon. Housekeeping was the best service I have had. The room was cleaned like clockwork everyday and to a high standard. We enjoyed the breakfast, it included continental, asian, cereals, salad, egg station and hot breakfast. There was a range of juice, coffee and tea. Kai & Dee greeted us with a very warm smile every morning as did all the staff in the restaurant. We did have a blocked toilet however it was fixed in record time. Check out was smooth and quick. May greeted us to say goodbye.....I got a hug because I was teary about leaving ! Highly recommended hotel. Pros: Free shuttle bus to Patong - Taxi Service with reasonable fares to the airport - Restaurant and Silk Bar - Beach directly across the road - Tuk Tuks within close proximity - ten minute easy walk to Karon shops and within close proximity to many restaurants - The hotel is a bit dated however you can see the maintenance getting done constantly - Excellent communication from all staff - Great comfortable beds...I wanted to take it home with me ! Cons: None that I can think of ! 3000 Baht deposit required upon check in - either cash or card
It's a beautiful place, nice hotel with warm welcome, the manager May she's so lovely and hands on we had a toilet problem but within no time they fixed it,the manager offered to prepare a dinner for us,I will definitely go back
Stayed 6 nights at the Woraburi in Phuket, right opposite the beach, lots of fantastic food available both onsite and within seconds walking distance. Big thanks to Chor and his team fantastic customer service with great tips on the in and out for local Phuket. I will definitely be staying here again.
Just got back and was one of the best hotels we stayed in Thailand at. The staff were great, especially Rich who went out of her way to help us out. Close to everything and the beach is just amazing. Would stay there again on a return trip.
Very cool pool view from our room...the beach is steps away from breakfast..brrakfast was good, great selection. Food, markets and street food is walking distance away. Also a convenience store is a mile walk. There's a huge dragon statue on the beach across from hotel. Service was great.close to phuket night life.plenty of tuk tuks at night. Not so much in the AM. We had truoble finding a ride to the marina we needed to be at that was 1hr away. Only stayed a night and all went well.
Our stay at Woraburi was really good frokm the minute we arrived. We checked in with Chong at the front desk and he provided all the information we could need regarding our stay. At one point I thought we would need to fiind a doctor and again, we were provided excellent advice. The hotel is directly across from the beach, which is beautiful. All of the rooms have quick access to the pool and the staff there was extremely attentive. We are a few meals at the hotel restaurant and again, exceptional service.
We stayed here for two nights, the hotel location is very close the karon beach. The breakfast is very rich and delicious, the counter staff is very friendly , especially DuL!! Always has nice smile. But the hotel is a bit old.... Overall is a good experience.
Okay the hotel is somewhat old but it has a distinct charm, the architectural design is in an old Thai style and the hotel probably still has got a bright future ahead. The building itself has a very bright and cheerful yellow facade and one of the best things about the hotel is in the fact it is by the beach front and road. All the staff were very friendly and delightful when it came to customer service from the catering and managerial and reception staff to the cleaners, particular thanks goes to the gracious May Suwanmanee who was very kind and helpful to my grandson and me. When some people complain about it being a " Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde " hotel and complain about the staff, it strikes me that it is not the hotel or staff that needs to ' change ' but some of the people that go and stay there from time to time ! We were happy and enjoyed our stay.
Stayed here in May 2017. First impressions showed that it needed some love and care. Over the week we stayed we saw improvements happening and real attempts to spruce it up. Staff are excellent and always willing to help out. Room was spacious, clean and tidy. Gym well appointed but not well advertised, you could miss it if you didn't head to the back of the resort. There is an abundance of restaurants, exchange places, coffee houses , Mini marts and laundry places around the hotel, you just have to step outside... The 7/11 down near the roundabout has the best prices. Chilli restaurant nearby does 99tbh cocktails which is a great find - food and service good there too. Many spa and massage places are also in the vicinity. The hotel offers free transfer two times a day into Patong - book your space early as only 8 spaces available - you need to find your way back but plenty of tuk tuk or taxis are available. Also, do yourself a favour and visit the Secret Cliff restaurant for panoramic views of Karon Beach... I feel certain that over the coming months there will be great improve the in the resort as the Silk Bar and Spa get a revamp.
