We loved our condo for the family group we had this trip. Everything was clean, good condition, and no mechanical issues except for the dryer wasn't drying the loads. Owner was prompt in getting maintenance to clean the dryer vent to improve the airflow. The amount of dishes, flatware, small appliances, etc... was excellent. Plenty of things to go a few days before needing to run the dishwasher. Most condo's don't provide this many in my experience. Very nice surprise!
The property overall was good, but a few things we didn't like. First, the elevator closest to our unit did not work a couple days, and so our trips to the beach were arduous with either steps or walking to the other end of the building for the elevator. Getting a beach wagon to the beach was a challenge, as there are 2 gates at the pool with codes to get thru, plus 2 sets of stairs on the boardwalk to the beach. This means you have to lift your wagon and carry it up the steps, then down to get to the beach. Would be nice to have a ramp for this. Beach chairs were available with the condo, however the attendant 'Brady' charged my son $75 to 'reserve' the set for the week. Again, the owner Helen resolved this issue promptly with us and refunded our $75.
Parking was good, and plenty of spots and was never 100% full. The area is less busy than the core of Destin, which made it nicer for traveling in the area.
