Great looking hotel in a fantastic location. Staff were very friendly with great local knowledge. Room was spacious and well presented. Breakfast and room service was reasonable and food good. Walking distance from many tourist locations and easy for business appointments.
We decided to try staying here but the room was extremely disappointing, dirty stained carpeting worn out furniture just gross not a 5 Star Hotel We just checked in today and wish we could go somewhere else Tried to call the front desk to complain but no one answered the phone- Never again
We are Marriott Gold members & understood clearly from our booking experience online that this location doesn't have an executive lounge, but includes the breakfast instead. We did an advance booking rate. Yes, it's quite expensive, but you're paying for the location. Right on the big shopping Ave. At one end, the Arc de Triomphe, & the other end the Place de Concorde. Walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. We walked along the river to Notre Dame & then on to the Pantheon, but that was a bit further than most may want to walk. Uber will pick you up & drop off right in front. Our experience was good with all of the staff here, from reception, security, concierge, to breakfast staff. We were always greeted kindly, with a smile. We had a room with a king bed. This might have been an upgraded room, but I'm not 100% sure. It seemed pretty spacious based on the other reviews I've read. The bathroom had a shower & separate tub. Everything was very clean. The bed was super comfortable. We had a little bit of noise from a neighboring room one night, but otherwise pretty quiet. The breakfast was fantastic! European style foods (meats, cheeses, hot foods) & classic American eggs, omelette station, plus pastries, fruit, etc...They bring a nice pot of coffee if you'd like. If you don't mind spending a little money for location, & nice service then you'll really enjoy your stay here!
If you are a Platinum Member don't expect anything as a 'valued' Marriott traveler. The hotel has no lounge so the one benefit you will receive is breakfast in the restaurant. We did go to the restaurant twice for breakfast. The breakfast serving is very nice and on the first day we had wonderful service on our second visit there really wasn't any service which was disappointing. The check-in process was disappointing especially after a long oversees flight. Although we did pre-online checkin our room wasn't ready. Although there were upgrades available (I checked online at check-in and once we were in our room) we were not offered an upgrade even after I asked a number of times and couldn't get a straight answer?? Although the size of the room is good especially on Paris standards it looks into the interior of the hotel. Not sure if that's why the room felt stuffy (no outside window) but it was disappointing. You really can't keep your drapes open without the opposite floors looking into your room. It felt like the hotel is catering to convention travelers mainly. Overall, the location is good but there are many nice hotels in Paris with good location for a better rate, This was a second visit to this location and we will look to go to a different property on our next visit to Paris. We had stayed at a Novotel Paris last year with our children and to be honest (we didn't have status) but the rooms were much nicer and in general the service was better.
This property is not Marriott Category 9 caliber. After traveling through various villages and cities within France and Switzerland we made our final destination Paris. This was our first time in Paris and we wanted to stay centrally located. Being Platinum with Marriott I make it a point to stay at Marriott properties for both leisure and business. I can assure you that the Marriott Paris Champs Elysee does not reflect the Marriott standard and is a disappointment to the brand. The front desk did not seem welcoming nor organized as our room was not prepared for us and we were asked to wait well after the 3PM standard check-in. In addition, we were placed just above the ground floor. My thoughts are that Marriott asks for floor preference in the Marriott.com profile for a reason. The room was small as expected in a major city however, the rusted garbage can in the bathroom and peeling paint was not. After sharing my concern with the front desk manager I was told to back my bags in the morning and that my luggage would be brought to a beautiful updated room the following day. This happened two days in a row and finally I was told that no other rooms were available. In addition to the hotel rooms poor condition the front desk and management team inclusive of the General Manager (who had his admin write me back rather than himself) were not of Marriott caliber. I would not recommend this property to any of my colleagues nor friends who want a pleasant experience while staying in Paris. I would also not recommend the restaurants due to the poor service which seemed to be a trend. In addition, I would ask that Marriott review the category ranking of the property as it misleading.
Champs Elysees!! What else do you need? In the heart of Paris, with plenty of shopping and food around. Staff is friendly and very attentive to details. We were here for our anniversary and when we checked in, there was a hand written card, a bottle of champagne and a delicious dessert waiting for us in our room! Breakfast was fantastic too! I'd definitely recommend!
I want to start off this review (my first ever) to say the title says it all. Having never been to Paris before but having read many reviews about this hotel I was sure I chose the right one but it was solidified before I even arrived. First off it was right on the Champs Elysee and you truly don’t want to start from any other place than there. The central location was exactly what we wanted and if the weather was better (rainy, very cold and windy while we were there the first weekend in December) we could have walked to just about any place we wanted to go. Everything we wanted to see was within a couple miles and we love walking because we feel like you can get a great sense of a city being on your feet. The room was very clean. The room didn’t have a lot of furniture in it but the bed was cozy as was the room. Next I want to recognize Christophe! By far in all of my travels around this big blue marble the best, most courteous, highly competent, responsive, patient, friendly and knowledgeable person I’ve come across ever in any place I’ve ever stayed. Before we even arrived I made a few phone calls in the middle of the early morning there and Christophe (the night manager) was available and answered any and all questions I asked. He helped arrange reservations at a local restaurant close to the AccorHotel Arena where we saw Elton John (destination concert for us) the very first night we arrived. Not in his job description and it was after hours for the concierge but much appreciated because I wanted to at least make sure our first day was covered. I inquired another time about a junior suite upgrade but there weren’t any available but he told me the best regular room in the hotel was available (at a slight up charge.) Of course I took him up on it and I’m so glad I did. The room had a small balcony and full views of the Champs Elysee! We could see from one end to the other and had a clean line of sight to The Eiffel Tower. It was spectacular! I also called another time (by this time he knew my voice and addressed me by my name!) I asked if our room would be available when we arrived on an overnight flight from the USA but it wouldn’t be so he blocked another room for us so we could get dressed for a workout, get cleaned up and get ready to go on our tour of The Eiffel Tower. He made the hard parts very easy. Next is Fabian! He’s the front desk day manager. He was very welcoming and accommodating like Christophe and made sure everything that had been put in place was executed on. He arranged for our bags to be stored and put in our new room once it was ready. We had brought our own change of clothes in a carry on so we had that with us in the temporary room they put us in so we could get a workout in before we got going for the day. He made sure we were fed at the delicious buffet breakfast and also on a daily basis when we saw him made sure everything was going as planned. Omar is next! He is at the concierge desk. He, along with Andrea who was helping out via email before we arrived, helped to arranged for our wonderful dinners on both Saturday and Sunday night. (Unbeknownst to us apparently most of the best restaurants are closed on Saturday and Sunday nights!) The two restaurants that Omar made arrangements with were some of the best restaurants available on those two evenings. The first was a French Cuisine dining experience with a place called Laurent. We wanted an upscale place where we could get dressed up more formally and not only have excellent food but was a fine dining establishment. It was the best I’ve ever experienced. The other was more of a casual steakhouse on one of the side streets called La Maison De L’Aubrac. The steaks were to die for and the service and wine list was excellent! They have the meat aging right there where you can see it. I also want to call out Lisa at the front desk. She was always warm, pleasant and accommodating too. She added to the overall experience of our weekend trip to Paris. Overall I’d give this place more stars but alas 5 is the best! Thanks again to the entire staff there at the hotel. Wonderful experience and can’t wait to see you all again soon.
Been on a business trip to London & had to later drive to NL so I agreed with my love to meet for the weekend in Paris. She arrived in the morning got a bad room had to waste a few hours to be transferred to a better condition room. The hotel location is very central in the heart of touristic area. Full of ARAB & Asian tourists. The lobby is nice. Rooms are good but have expected them to be much better compared to the price they charge. Breakfast again is below average for such a hotel & even breakfast room is ordinary. Service is the best thing about this hotel from the porter, reception staff , waiters and waitress are very nice, friendly & helpful especially Noor the concierge. One last thing I could not feel warm in the room, breakfast room or lobby believe they should check their heating
Wow. This was a shock for me. The rooms in this hotel are so shabby and worn and dirty. The shower flooded the entire bathroom because the drain was clogged. I took photos of the stains on the carpet in Room 411 and showed them to the front desk to which they replied, wow that's terrible. And did nothing. The lobby is still truly lovely and the Doormen. But I stay in a room, not the lobby. I would never stay here again when there are so many other options. They are overdue for a renovation that is for sure!
This the most oustanding hotel in Paris! If You are looking a hotel in Paris this is the perfect place to stay even for one night. Situated in the centre of the city, ar the faimous Champs Elysee having a great breakfast with and a very polite staff.
