I had the pleasure of 3 nights at the Libertel ! The rooms are small but immaculate and the bathrooms pristine ! Friendly helpful staff but the beauty is the location - a bustling part of Paris near the Park & the Canals ! Right by the Metro .. Visit and take your walking/ running gear ! It was 40 degrees when I visited and the air con worked a treat ..
Nice place for short stay in central Paris. Good proximity to everything you need while you are there: metro station, bus stops, McDonald's, Carrefour City, bakery and Eurostar train station. Clean rooms and toilets. The only con is not having a curtain in the shower.
20 minutes' walk from Gare du Nord, near the Canal Saint-Martin which heads you in the right direction for a waterside walk towards Centre Pompidou. The hotel has just been renovated. We were at the top, with a lift, and had a family room with three beds. It was small, but well appointed, including a coffee machine! and very clean and reasonably priced. The breakfast was generous, including delicious home-made cake. The staff were very helpful and well-informed. Metro Jaure is very near, and there are bars and restaurants.
If you want to explore Paris... the REAL Paris and not just the tourist attractions then this hotel is perfect! Rooms are 'cosy' but functional and clean (we managed just for for almost 3 weeks!). Staff are super friendly and porvided so much local knowledge we felt like we lived in their city rather than just visited. Super close to transport and we often even ended up strolling into the center of Paris from the hotel!
We just arrived back home after spending 3 nights at this hotel in Paris and I can't recommend it enough! Having had a look at other hotel rates this one was the most reasonable at 100 euros a night, we booked a double bedroom and as you can see in the pictures it was a clean, no nonsense bedroom with attached bathroom. The room was small but this didn't bother us at all due to our short stay and we had the best sleep in the room with the a/c cranked up (it was 30C - such a hot weekend!) and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We didn't opt for breakfast - at 10 euros per person we thought this was steep and there is a bakery just next door which does delicious pastries, a supermarket and MacDonalds and subway so we more or less bought breakfast and snacks from here for much less. Reception staff very friendly and professional and so helpful - they printed out tickets for the louvre which we forgot to do ourselves and we could keep our luggage at the hotel after check out. My only recommendation is that after a long tiring day of sightseeing I like to snuggle in bed with the tv on, there was a pretty good spread of channels with great movies on but all were French dubbed - from the guests we saw looked like most of the clientele couldn't speak French so it would have been great to have English channels on even 1 or 2! But this is a minor point - as I say it's just something i like to do when i unwind from a day of being touristy. The other thing to note is - we loved the area of Canal St Martin but it's a bit rough around the edges. Had a beautiful walk along the canal with lots of cafes and bistros and it has a nice vibe BUT on the day we checked out reception suggested we leave asap as there had been a shooting by the metro involving police and there was a chance the metro would be cordoned off - we checked the news to see we had missed the shooting by minutes which was pretty scary.I 'm not sure if this is a one off incident for the area but other than this would completely recommend this hotel.
Nice neat hotel in a good location. It is a few short steps from Juares station which enabled you to get anywhere you wanted to go in Paris and also trips further out. The staff were helpful. There are shops and eateries all around the hotel.
If you take the cheapest room, it might be a room facing the street, which is noisy almost 24 hours a day to a level that one cannot sleep. Make sure which room you reserve. Apart from that - no complaints. The hotel is well located, 5 meters from a Metro station, a lot of shops and restaurants around. Close to the canal Saint-Martin, which is a great place for a stroll.
I can highly recommend this hotel for its location, service and standards. Specially thanks to worker of the hotel Mr. Bivash, who welcome us well and help us to get more clever of Paris. Thank you Mr Bivash.
I read many good things about this hotel, which I´m sure are true, but I can´t confirm because of the awful location of the room (ground floor in the back house facing the court yard). There was no natural light, everyone coming in walked by our room/window so you couldn´t open the window for air and it made the whole room quite sensitive to noise. The bed was very very comfortable though. Too bad the experience wasn´t to our satisfaciton I would have like to be a happy customer. Unfortunately it wasn´t the romanctic get-away my boyfriend and me had hoped for.
If you're traveling on a budget like us, you cannot beat this place! Before writing a review, you need to put things into perspective and think about where you are going and what you are paying. For the price we paid, the location we got cannot be beat! 15 mins from city center, 30 second walk to the metro and just two stops away from Gare Du Nord. The accommodation itself, well again...I come back to what we paid! Were the rooms small? Yes. Was the bathroom tiny? Yes. You aren't paying 5 star rates, so simply put...you shouldn't really be expecting 5 star rooms either. It was comfortable & exactly what you'd expect for what you pay. The only slight gripe I'd have is the bed, it's far too small! All in all great stay
