I've been in this hotel for 3 times, and i was glad , but this time I was really disappointed .. We took a room with a fridge, that only after two days we noticed that it wasn't connected to electricity- we had to throw all the food that was in it and i had a food intoxication that immobilized me for 3 days in that room! When we alerted the staff , that alerted the hotel manager- we've been told , that this minibar fridge , that cools to 4 degrees C, is suitable only for drinks...!! and that they were not responsible to what happened - we should have noticed it before! Never heard such a lack of responsibility! No compensation has been proposed to us. Every body makes mistakes, but one should take some responsibility when it happens. I do not recommend this hotel.
Three of us stayed here in two rooms for two nights to celebrate a 21st Birthday. Reception was helpful at all times, the rooms were very clean and comfortable with all the facilities expected at this price point. We had breakfast both mornings which was ok, nothing special but as much as you needed and good coffee! The area is quite lively and can be noisy at times but this is a city after all. There are several decent bars nearby and transport links to central Paris are quick, easy and cheap. Would definitely stay here again as having stayed much more central previously was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable (for Paris!) bill!
Avoid this budget hotel at all costs. The hotel lobby smelled constantly of raw sewage so first impressions were poor. The room was adequate albeit small, but we had expected that from reading other reviews. The cleaner knocked on our door at 8am in the morning to service the room. Not wanting to leave the room so early, we waited until she started servicing the adjacent room then put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door handle so she could come and service the room later. We left the room around 12pm to go for a short walk after changing the door handle sign to please service our room. Returning to the hotel at 13:30 the room had not been serviced so we left again at 14:00 informing the reception staff the room can now be serviced. The receptionist noted our room number before we left. When we returned at 21:00 the room had not been touched. I asked the same receptionist who we gave the room number to why this was the case and she rudely told me that all the cleaners had gone home now and we should not have put the do not disturb sign if we wanted the room serviced. We were not offered another room and the issue was not rectified. I asked if she expected us to sleep in dirty sheets and use dirty towels to shower with and we were simply told to get on with it as there was nothing she could do. Eventually after much discussion we were offered some bed sheets to make the bed ourselves! Utterly disgraceful service from this 1 star hotel pretending to be 3 stars. Save yourself a lot of hassle and pay 10-20 euros more a night for a decent 4 star hotel.
Everything was great! The staff was very kind and helpful, the room was very comfortable. The location of the hotel was also good because it s near a bus and metro statiom. The only negative was that the hotel was near a busy road and it was so quite.
Overall is satisfied. Close to everything you need for family trips like restaurants, metro... but just a little noises at night. I will hear bus stop with break, car driving by... but I will still recommend
Room was lovely and warm with the best bed and pillows I have ever had in a hotel. Reception very helpful. Our key card didn’t work three times but was fixed immediately. Would stay here again. Nice and central close to metro, supermarket , shops and restaurants.
Small rooms (as often in Paris), but clean, quiet (if you choose room to the back) with very friendly staff. Very good located near Canal Saint-Martin. Bus stop and Metro Station just around the corner. Also train stations (East and North) in walking disctance (15 minutes) or just 3 stations with Metro.
This is a great hotel situated by the canal Saint-Martin. The location is great, right next to a store and a 2 minute walk from the nearest metro station. There are quite a lot of cosy bars and restaurants about 10 minutes away as well. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfy. The breakfast was nice, although the coffee was not the greatest I have ever had. Overall this is a very good deal if you do not want to break the bank when you visit Paris.
Overall a happy customer, relatively good location, rooms small for me perhaps it is the standard in Paris. Nice breakfast with good variety. I would call it quiet place overall and recommended based on the price.
The hotel is well located, close to the underground station and a nice walking distance from Le Marais. Our room was newly refurbished, very clean and tidy, but small. WiFi connection was very slow and email registration was required.
