I needed to pay more for the used of the pool. The pool is part of the spa. Fake advertising
Really nice hotel. The only issue is they don’t tell you they have pool/spa. They charge entrance $54
Only benefit was that it was close to family. Otherwise I wouldn’t say there’s anything special about the hotel. Restaurant staff was nice, breakfast was a waste.
Most of the effort at this property has been put into the restaurants and spa. They are fantastic and are the only reasons we would return to the hotel. There was nothing "wrong" with the room but it also wasn't great for being the best room the hotel has (fireplace suite). It's a huge space with a tiny couch. There's a dining table but no wet bar area for the coffee maker and fridge so they are stuck in the corner, on the ground... and it's the smallest fridge we've ever seen. Who knew they made them that size? LOL... The bedroom has no door. I think it's the design of keeping things open but the whole point of having a separate bedroom, for us, is to have a quite area to sleep. The bathroom made us laugh. Big counter, and then the toilet shoved into the corner. The shower, with the angles ceiling would have been fine if they hadn't installed a tub that is so high that it raises you off the ground 3-4 inches and therefore gives you even less space with the slanted wall. Tile floor in the bedroom... nobody wants to wake up to stepping on a cold floor. The room was neat, clean, and a great size. The fireplace is lovely and the bed is comfortable. It was not an unpleasant experience but it could have been SO much better with a bit more effort to make the "best" room in the hotel feel like a real suite. If we go back to the spa etc... we will stay here again, but will just get a basic room. The upgrade is NOT worth the money.
Mixed up our reservation, checked us in late, gave us the wrong room with people that were in that room already. The hotel smells like stale cigarettes.
