We really liked staying here last summer so I booked same 2-bedroom villa for this year's summer vacation. Check in again this year was unfriendly – no smile, no how was your trip, no conversation at all. I know Marriott has strict training so this must be by design? She says only room available was first floor by pool and we'd love it. UGH. Anyone can look inside these units so you’ll want to keep curtains shut and there is no view from dark, enclosed porch not to mention noise from pool. My husband and I work long hours and wanted quiet, relaxing room w/ balcony. She assured me there were no other 2 bedroom villas until….wait, after I say I know we'll not enjoy, etc. all of the sudden she says she’ll look again and presto, locates another 2 bedroom villa. Not wanting to be difficult and as she had already given me keys to first floor unit, I said I’d go look at it. We looked at it and indeed, it had no view, a dark patio, people were walking by windows and we could hear noisy kids. So I called front desk and they let us move to Palermo building 3rd floor villa. So we walk in villa and are hit with the most unpleasant smell! My husband identified it as curry cooking odor. It was so strong that they brought up spray and an ozone machine but odor never left. The third night they said only room we could move to was a 2 bedroom lock off (like 2 hotel rooms) which I looked at but it was not nearly as nice as 2-bedroom, 2 bath villa I booked w King, 2 Queens, full kitchen, etc. On the 3rd night, manager called and advised a villa w/ 2 King beds was available but we would have to pack up all of our food, etc, and my sons said no to sharing bed so we declined and stayed put. The manager ended up comping one night. The disposal was clogged our first morning so called front desk who said they were sending up maintenance. We waited, and waited and called two hours later and same girl at desk said she didn’t know if maintenance was coming. We eventually left for pool and someone did fix it. The other issue is housekeeping. We are not timeshare people but paying guests who are supposed to get daily housekeeping. I went grocery shopping our first morning at 10:50 am at which time I removed Do Not Disturb sign from door. We later spent afternoon at pool area to come back to room late afternoon and room not cleaned. A long story but I was eventually told we had Do Not Disturb sign on door all day and that was reason room not cleaned. I assured them that was not true and was actually argued with that I must be mistaken. I said the maintenance guy got in our room which meant there was no sign on door because they won't go in room w/ sign on door. After arguing with me and offering clean towels which I declined as I found long, dark hairs on bathroom floor (I’m blond and was w/ 3 males w/ short hair) and wanted room cleaned to help w/ stench, blah blah. eventually manager said they’d call housekeeping again. We then got call back that housekeeping admitted seeing Do Not Disturb sign around 10:30 am and ASSUMED we didn’t want housekeeping! They somehow found two women to come up and clean but we had to leave room disrupting our evening. The front desk asked what was good time to have room cleaned rest of our trip and we said noon. Well, the next day, we leave room before noon just so they can clean and come back late afternoon and room not clean. So I called front desk who said someone would be sent up. Well, it took two more hours before they came which meant we were displaced nap : ( . My sons just stayed in their room so it wasn’t even cleaned. Housekeeping didn’t replace lotion ever, didn’t replace Tide and coffee wasn’t replaced one day and coffee pot never cleaned. Another issue in the room was the sofa – one of the 3 cushions was warped so you couldn’t sit or lay comfortably. On positive note, kitchen was nicely equipped, TVs had good pictures, wifi free and parking plentiful. Our boys enjoyed pool table and ping pong and servers very nice at the pool bar/restaurant. Good luck finding a good seat at pool on the weekends. People reserve chairs in morning with towels so good seating reserved by people not using pool. We were unable to find chair w/ umbrella and my husband got sunburned first day so he was unable to enjoy pool rest of stay. The resort itself is very nice - think our experience not the norm, however, not sure if we'll return. We again enjoyed FAMAS Restaurant for delivery dinners, highly recommend.

I am very particular were i stay on the road, I like to receive top service, to accommodations, quality interiors and grounds. top service any where i go and i am wiling to pay for it. this place serves it up. you get what you pay for. i have stayed in the two bed room town house at this location 3 years in a row. it is a two story accommodation. pool is awesome. this place shares the ritz carlton grounds. and the price reflects. i enjoyed this place so much i bought in to the timeshare for the townhouse. very happy

I have nothing but positive things to say about this property. Customer service was excellent from the start of the reservation to the final good bye. The property is clean, well designed and beautifully landscaped. We loved the pool. Plenty of towels and chairs available. The organized activities were fun and they have plenty of on site games (pool, bocce, corn hole, etc.). The walking path to the other facilities - JW Marriott and Ritz was very nice. You can use the other facilities, but we never did as we loved The Lakeshore. We stayed in a 1 bedroom pool view. Our teens slept on the pull out couch and had no complaints. The kitchen is well equipped. Publix supermarket is a 5-10 minute drive. We had lunch at the pool a few days, it was a bit pricey (expected you are at a resort). The food was good An on site breakfast restaurant would be a great added feature. The location is good for traveling to any of the parks. Close, but not in all the congestion. I highly recommend.

Loved everything here! Arrived at 1pm,Brady at front desk allowed us to check in early, grounds were beautiful! Pool was warm all day and well maintained, never overcrowded, hot tubs were good for nights, there were enough chairs and towels for everyone! . Great water slides for kids. Lazy river was great and felt relaxing , pool was quite even with kids around, bar close to pool for drinks and food, food was pretty good with good happy hour selections , activities listed for kids and adults for every hour . Tuesday nights are smore nights!! Kids were able to sit around fire pit while staff handed out free ingredients for smores . Ping pong , pool table and other games set up next to pool, staff friendly, rooms well kept and cleaned daily. Great view of palm trees , parking was free and close to room.we were allowed to check out an hour late due to late flight with no problem. Felt like we were on a carribean island !! Now planning to come back next month!!!

Perfect for a vacation where you want some of the Disney experience without total immersion. Beautifully equipped condo's with access to the JW Marriott and Ritz Carlton. Great restaurants in both Hotels. Lovely quite pool area with two water slides and a lazy river make Lakeshore the perfect resort for families. One of the best vacation clubs we've ever stayed at. Highly recommend.

Happy to be back. This is our second stay at the Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve and have also stayed several times at the JW and Ritz which are next door. We needed a one night stay after 4 days at a Disney property and were ale to get a room at the Lakeshore Reserve. Wow. Disney properties are convenient for visiting the parks, but this property is like being at home or with a close family friend. The rooms here felt so spacious in comparison to the tight rooms at Disney. The pools and hot tubs felt private and empty after dealing with the crowds for 4 days. I'm reminded why I like this property and look forward to returning for a longer stay.

Was given a ground floor Villa with NO BALCONY ! We never would have stayed/booked Lakeshore Reserve if we knew there was NO Balcony on our rooms ! ! ! We booked as listed a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Villa with Balcony's as advertised in 2 different locations in both the Room Description Listing / Room Details Description we looked at during the booking and checkout process on Marriott Lakeshore Reserves' Website for a 2 night stay. We booked 3 plus months in Advance. Called twice over a two month period to personally confirm that all was well and good. We even requested a nice high floor on our last call many weeks in advance, "so we could see all the peaceful and relaxing good stuff from our balcony's"! Upon check-in we were given a ground floor Villa with NO BALCONY'S!!! We had planned all of our vacation activities around our evenings/nights there using our Balcony's' - which now do not exist! :( We then spoke with the very pleasant lady in charge at the front desk and were told that, "there were no other 2 bed 2 bath villas with balcony available in the entire facility" = We were floored! We felt abused and mistreated and we cannot understand how they could treat us this way - it was our only vacation - so sad! We picked Lakeshore reserve out of all the other hotels / locations from all of our hours and hours of wasted proactive research on where to stay - and then we get the ground floor treatment, so hurtful for us :(- ? Unfortunately it ruined our stay there. Each evening we could not use our rooms as we had planned and it really made us bitter about our stay there morning and evening :( Upon checkout / paying our BILL! - We explained to the clerk who wanted us to pay for our stay there, our great sadness and irritation from the Villa they gave us and our feelings that we were on the butt-end of a bait and switch / deceptive room??? The clerk kept saying I apologize over and over. He escalated our discussion to the manager and we were then told that an advertised Balcony to them also means Patio. The word patio was not mentioned in either of the room descriptions when we booked and we made sure we were getting a balcony room when we booked and we confirmed that – we would never have booked with Lakeshore Reserve if a Balcony was not on the room - They listed balcony’s in the room description in both places during reservation / checkout. It said ( 2 balcony’s ). We were not expecting 5 bedrooms or 2 Jacuzzi's but ( Balcony's ) because that is what it said... This is not hard to understand… The description listed said “Room Features = Outdoor spaces: balcony (2)“ Both room descriptions we pulled up when booking said just " BALCONY " ! See listings we were shown from Marriots website below Room Features = • Outdoor spaces: balcony (2) • Dining area • Living room is separated • Windows may be opened 2 Bedroom Villa: Bedroom 1: 1 King, Bedroom 2: 1 King, Sofa beds: 2, Bathrooms: 2 Room Overview • Outdoor spaces: balcony (2) * The nice manager deducted $ 200.00 off of our bill. We don’t know how we wound up being the recipients of this unpleasant situation and how blaming aspects of or in the Lakeshore Reserve itself helped or helps us in our situation in any way... We came to enjoy our balcony vacation here and ended up instead extremely unsatisfied and hurt from this “ vacation “ experience :( :(

I have been to Lakeshore Lakeshore Reserve many times, usually in conjunction with a business trip to the area. Lakeshore Reserve is an Oasis in the middle of a big city. It is a very relaxing place to visit , and provides all the " tools" to do so. Access to the amenities at the JW Marriott next door is included in your stay.

My family and I stayed for 4 nights. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom was large and very clean. The resort layout was great. The pool area is plenty for a relaxing day on property, large lazy river, 2 hot tubs and 2 water slides were enough to keep my 10 yr old happy. The activities were ok. A little more communication about "specialty nights" would be an improvement. The Blossoms restaurant was nice and well priced. Had Starbucks breakfast at the Marketplace each morning. We had access via golf cart to the sister properties next door. I would recommend this resort.

I am a Marriott vacation club owner. I own at the Grande Vista, which is a beautiful resort. I chose to stay in a different property for this stay. This was such a treat. The pool and buildings were beautiful. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The kitchen was very large. The rooms have a nice foyer. It is really like a mini apartment. Actually, I have been in many apartments that aren't this nice! One could live here. The master bathroom is fabulous. The only minor issue I had was the shades on the small windows in the master bedroom don't extend far enough to the sides to keep the sunlight completely out when one is sleeping, so the room didn't remain pitch black after the sun rose. I would definitely stay here again.
