Very close to the Zocalo, friendly staff, rooms were clean, good breakfast, coffee all day! Beautiful hotel!

Wonderful stay. Front desk staff was very helpful

What liked about this property was that it is very centrally located. The room was clean and didn’t smell bad like other hotels I’ve stayed at. Staff was very friendly. What I didn’t like was that on my final night someone decided to start working late at night and thru the early morning right next to this hotel and kept us awake most of the night. The next morning I told the hotel receptionist and all they said was that the business next door was trying to finish up some construction work and that it was out of their control. I didn’t like that they didn’t even try to give me a good reason why they couldn’t go and stop them from keeping hotels guests awake.

The hotel is right in the center of a bustling strewn market. The building like most in Oaxaca is an older Spanish colonial building, with lots of character, a beautiful courtyard, and friendly staff. If you are looking for a completely 5 star American hotel this might not be for you. But if you want a friendly centrally located Oaxacan hotel this is a wonderful place.

Staff was very helpful, rooms very clean, located right across from the mercado in downtown

24/7 service, good food, adequate water and amenities, location

Great included breakfast buffet. Handy tour desk in lobby. Good location for centro sites. Didn't like foot and car traffic at entrance or sidewalks so crowed with vendor stalls.

Great location, extremely helpful staff, and incredibly clean. Environmentally conscious. We stayed five nights and had a wonderful stress free visit. Looking forward to our next visit.

They were very nice and accommodating. They were wonderful.

Very nice property, solid breakfast, very pleasant staff, hot water is sometimes only warm but welcome to Latin America.

What a wonderful hotel - right in the cento. We arrived on a Saturday night - the staff was very helpful and the room was great and very quiet and clean. After getting settled we strolled over to the Zócalo just a block away. A great base for exploring Oaxaca.

The staff was very friendly, caring and helpful. The hotel is located walking distance to everything. Hotel was beautiful and the rooms were spacious. The only thing is that in order to shower with hot water you had to let the water run for like 10min. Also because the hotel is located centrally, the noise was a little much.

What a lovely traditional hotel in the heart of the city. Walking distance to most everything.

Gorgeous hotel! Directly across the street from the big market, and one short block to the Zocalo. Colorful and very picturesque. The staff was friendly and helpful--the rooms absolutely spotless. They served a nice complimentary breakfast every morning. And they left no stone unturned in decorating for Dia de Los Muertos! We can't wait to return! Also, Carmen at the tour desk in the lobby is a gem--she can arrange anything for you!

Nice hotel, close to the Zocolo. Traffic around it is hectic but do you expect at the center of town.

I had paid extra for a room with a/c. I was given a non-a/c room, so I asked to be moved. I was then moved to a large beautiful room. Luckily, I had not unpacked or undressed, because I received a call that the room was a suite priced almost double what I had paid...and they needed to move me to a 3rd room. The final room had a/c but was tiny and without the ability to hang any clothing (not a big deal since I was a single traveler). The bellman was great to help with each move, but the front desk staff was unapologetic.

This property meets expectation as a budget friendly hotel. Ideally and centrally located. Housekeeping was superb... in need of softer towels and tissue (if you are fussy...walk with your own) and breakfast could be improved by serving different local fruits rather than the same choices everyday
