We had an amazing experience at City Center Oaxaca. It was centrally located to everything - the staff was beyond amazing - the breakfast was super amazing - the bartenders were ever so welcoming and shared so much Mezcal knowledge with words could explain our stay other than PADRISIMO!!!!! Gracias Oaxaca!!!!!

Came here for a wedding and had most of the attendees staying at the hotel. Upon check-in, we were informed by multiple parties that they had trouble with the front desk getting rooms on time. We were a bit later in the day, so we did not encounter the same. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the grounds were overall well taken care of. The bartenders on the pool deck were probably our favorite to interact with, and they stayed open as late as we were drinking which was nice. Each day we put the "Do not Disturb" sign on our door and each day the staff disregarded and went in. The second day, we caught them and asked them to please leave the room alone, which they acknowledged, but as soon as we left the premises they entered. While they would make the bed each time, they would take our wet towels that were hanging to dry and re-roll them like they were new. All that did was ensure they would be dry by our next shower. The hotel also failed to move some planters for the wedding after assuring the wedding party they would. While it wasn't the end of the world, it did change the seating arrangements. The hotel offers a buffet in the morning, and it wasn't bad when the cook was making made-to-order eggs, but he one day he wasn't there, the breakfast wasn't worth getting.

Just had our wedding at City Centro Oaxaca Hotel and it was amazing. The hotel was very accommodating and understanding. The hotel is beautiful and vibrant. It’s in a quiet section of the town but close enough and walking distance to the city center. It’s still a new hotel so bear with them as they continue to grow. Highly recommend this place! Thank you Luis and Andrea!

The Hotel is designed beautifully, making the whole place feel as if it has much more to offer. But in reality, it is super basic, but with all of the needed basic necessities. Clean room, some basic toiletries, and a basic breakfast. The room has little to no storage to unpack your clothes, but plenty of tables to put your suitcases on. The airconditioning's light is very bright, so for sensitive sleepers, it is recommended to bring an eyecap. There was quite a bit of noise coming from the hallways if people would walk by or close their hotel doors, but not to a point that it would keep us up at night. The location is great, within 15 minutes walking of Plaza Santo Domingo. Where you will find most of the restaurants and things to do. A taxi is 50/60 pesos which is about $3.

Location is good , central, where you can reach many things by walking. Clean ,the rooms are newly renovated but extreem small where you have no place to put your private things properly, ( narrow, small, cupboard very primitive , no place for your privecy) even the bathroom ! modern but lack of place you cannot move ,even for one person ! The staff are friendly but extreem unproffecional , neither expierience nor competence , you have to wait and wait and wait !!!!! Breakfast, is Okay !, hygien in the kitchen for newly renovated hotel schould be much better and more clean Very expensive Hotel for the sevices and facilities offered ,, POOR value for the money you are soending Think about it before you fix your booking !

Brand new, very well located. Beautiful, we were surprised wit the design, very attractive in pink, a nice center with beautiful lights, fountains. Good breakfast, several options to eat. The beds are very comfortable, several pillows, cozy towels. Great gym, small but with several aerobic options and free weight. We will definitevely return!!!

The hotel is located 15 minutes walking from Santi Domingo and 20 min from the market. Not far at all. The rooms are super clean, the staff is friendly, the decor is very nice. Not a luxury hotel but it is the best option price and quality wise. Breakfast is Included and although it is simple it has everything you need to start your morning. I would 100% go back to this hotel if I come to Oaxaca. Compared to the overpriced places that are closer to the centre this is just right!

We stayed here for a couple of nights. It’s pretty poor value for money. There’s building works going on around the pool, so pretty noisy and the pool wasn’t in use until we complained. The Bar wasn’t serving drinks and you had to get soft drinks from a vending machine with limited choice. Breakfast is buffet style - it’s ok but just more like a Premier Inn and not as good as other local and cheaper hotels we stayed in. Room fine if a little characterless. Overall it’s ok - just poor for money.

Designed with a mix of minimalist and traditional Mexican architectural elements and colors, this hotel from Mexican chain City Express delivers a new turn in what their accomodation offer had been until recently. It is close enough to the main attractions of the historic Oaxaca downtown area (20 min walk to the zocalo or main square and 15 min from the Santo Domingo famous temple) but at the same time far enough to stay away from the hussle and noise. The amenity areas at the entrance embrace you from the moment you walk in. The central courtyard with modern water fountains evoques the traditional colonial houses in the neighborhood. In these area you will also find an art display of local artists, which is always welcomed by those of us that appreciate the combination of art and architecture. My only 2 comments are that there is (1) a lack of fixed furniture to allow to place your luggage and belongings in the room, and (2) that the window rooms do not open and you are forces to utilize the individual a/c room when the night whether is espectacular. Free wi-fi and breakfast is part of this great deal!

We were a group of 8 who waited a little too late to find accommodations but luckily we found the City Centro and it was a great fit for us. The hotel is really lovely. Rooms are very clean and the free breakfast was filling. The biggest perk is the outdoor spaces. There's a beautiful courtyard and second floor roof space with a pool. We made use of both of these. A small but greatly appreciated detail is the two bottles of water that are replenished in your room every day and the water cooler to fill up your bottles. The only drawback would be that most rooms overlook a courtyard or the interior hallway so that's something to take into consideration when booking your room.
