About this property
Entire place
You'll have the entire apartment to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
Casita in the heart of the Historic Down Town of Oaxaca (equipped, independent)
Our tiny house "casita" offers you the opportunity to discover all the historic down town of our beautiful city without having to use a vehicle, since we are yards from all the attractions: the Santo Domingo church, the ethnobotanical garden, the Xochimilco arches, museums, traditional restaurants, Michelin-starred restaurants, galleries, mezcal bars, graphic workshops, libraries, cultural spaces, coffe shops, bakeries, pastry shops and craft shops. At the same time, it also offers you the possibility of being on one of the quietest streets, allowing you to get away from the hustle and bustle at night to rest.
Our "casita" has a completely independent entrance that will make you feel like you're in your own home, since there are no shared access points or areas. In addition, one of the most beautiful and iconic markets in the city, called "Sánchez Pascuas", is just a few steps away. There, you can enjoy the large amount of fresh, organic, and quality products on offer, so you can do your grocery shopping like a true local.
Our "casita" is single-level, making it an ideal place for people looking to avoid steps. Our street is fully lit and close to all emergency services, from pharmacies to hospitals with clinical research specialties. Regarding security, the main door has one of the most secure locks, allowing us to change access codes between guests, thus elevating our security standards.
About inside, we have a fully equipped kitchenette with everything you need to prepare the food you want, from simple to more sophisticated. If you need any utensils, we'll be happy to provide them, so you won't be limited in your cooking ideas during your stay.
In the first room, you'll also find a small dining area, as well as a sofa bed. This allows you to combine its use according to your needs: from a family gathering area to a work area, to even converting it into another bedroom. If your reservation requires it, you can request that we install a sheet set with a "zero gravity" mattress pad for the sofa bed, which will make sleeping on it much more comfortable.
In the bedroom, you'll find a queen-size bed, a perfect size for two people to sleep in. We also offer a TV with internet access. This area, being completely separate from the main room, is helpful for those seeking a little more privacy while sleeping. We have the sink outside the bedroom to facilitate shared use. However, the bathroom with shower is located inside the bedroom. We also offer good pressure and hot water 24 hours a day, as we have installed two types of heaters that work in harmony: conventional gas and solar.
At the end of the bedroom, you'll find a door leading to the backyard. This is completely private, designed for enjoying a meal, providing a space for ventilation, a work area, or a space for pets (who are welcome) to go outside. We hope our plants can make you feel more relaxed, with a beautiful energy.
Finally, let me tell you about ourselves: we are a 100% Oaxacan family who have built this venture with dedication and love to welcome travelers who choose to visit us. The house has been in our family for three generations, which is why we call it "Casa Esther y Adolfo," since they were our grandparents and the first owners. It's a small recognition to them.
Our intention is also to transmit our culture, traditions and love for Oaxaca to you, and to let you know that if you wish, you will have some local friends who will help you in any way they can.
We look forward to meeting you soon in our beautiful tiny house!
