Hampton Inn is my choice of hotels for either business or pleadure travel. They are modern and clean. Amenities are adequate and I've never experienced sny problems. Staff at each inn that I've stayed st have always been pleasant, courteous and helpful.
This hotel was a very clean facility with an outstanding staff. My wife and I plan to stay there again, in the near future. My friends also enjoyed their stay. They were the ones who recommended Hampton Inn from previous stays.
So this hotel is your basic Hampton inn decent rooms, decent service, decent breakfast with very friendly staff but on the forth floor they have smoking rooms right next to of course my and other people's non smoking rooms which of course make the hallway and the non smoking rooms smell of cigarette smoke. Who would do that???
I really like Hampton Inns. The breakfast is reliably good, as was true at this Hampton Inn. The bedroom is comfortable with a certain amount of spaciousness and that applied to this Hampton Inn. The issues we encountered here included a very, very noisy bathroom fan that we heard through the closed door; the air conditioning was also louder than usual. The room land line did not work. Additionally the pool was down for maintanence. We were given passes to Senatara next door, but anyone under 14 was not permitted to swim--that meant no swimming for the grandkids.
This place is not what I would call a luxury hotel, but the service was great and the people were super friendly. The location was great for us as it was close to our friends house. I would recommend this hotel for it's close proximity to Buck Roe Beach. It's a great place!
After a reservation fiasco at another hotel, my dad and I decided to stay at this Hampton while competing in a chess tournament in Norfolk. Overall, it was a very good and solid experience. The exterior is typical of Hamptons, although the parking situation is limited...and half the parking seems to be reserved for diamond members! Fortunately, we found parking every time. Let me get the service out of the way first. It was sort of a mixed bag...some employees were awesome, others were okay, and one was borderline rude. A young, African-American man in charge of breakfast (I should've gotten his name) was SPECTACULAR, and he should never quit what he does and how excellently he does it. He let multiple guests have more breakfast even after the closing time, and never hesitated to help with a big smile. Bravo! At check-in, the woman delivered average service, but she was efficient at pointing out the amenities of the hotel (such as the Wifi), which was a good thing about her. However, the man at check-out (4 AM) was not at all friendly. Very gruff and eager to get us out of the hotel...he might have been doing a night shift, but he needs to still exhibit the service people expect at a $130/night Hampton. The rooms were, as my saying goes, truly Hamptastic. There was plenty of room, a working TV, comfortable beds, and other useful amenities (such as a microwave, which I had forgotten the room contained). I had actually never seen a room in a Hampton with a shower instead of a bathtub, and this change was convenient and refreshing! Overall, this hotel was a solid choice, and it is recommended. The rooms are great, and once the service is polished up a bit, it will earn the last star. I will return whenever I go back to the Hampton Roads area.
I've never stayed in a more welcoming hotel. The staff was the best! The rooms are nice and clean and comfortable. Would stay again! It was in a great location to everything. I can't say enough about this hotel staff!
Lots of places to eat and shop in the area. I was pleasantly surprised with the fitness center. The breakfast was good but a little limited for my taste. Great value for the price. The staff was very accommodating
The staff and the service at the Hampton Inn was exceptional, very friendly and attentive staff. My room was very clean and the staff was very helpful when I was in need of anything. The complimentary breakfast was EXCELLENT in comparison to other hotels I stayed in, it is definitely beyond continental breakfast. My son had a great time in the pool!
Our attendant was so professional and provided us with such a wonderful experience that we will stay again when in the area. The room was spotless, the mattress was just the right firmness so we had a good night's sleep every night. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had so many choices to select from. Our overall experience was GREAT!!!
