The hotel was perfectly situated for our needs. The room, while small, had a very comfortable bed. We had a small problem with our tv and the staff took care of it right away. Breakfast was delivered promptly every morning and consisted of lovely pastries and yogurt with fruit. Very pleased with the value for the money

My wife and I had a little get-away to Newport and stayed here for 2 nights in early July. This inn was a perfect match for us. Carmen at the front desk was very hospitable in introducing us to Newport. Our room was nicely updated from what the original building must have been. It was perfectly clean and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, it had an AC unit, and we had our own bathroom with full shower. There was also a coffee maker with assorted coffees and teas, wine glasses, mini-fridge with water, juice, and milk, and all items were complimentary...nice touch. Room service cleaned very well. There is also free parking in the back; a very big deal where parking is tough during tourist season. You get a small complimentary continental breakfast hung on your door each morning as opposed to going downstairs to a sit-down breakfast. There was a parfait and homemade pastry. It was delicious and filling. Website pictures of the place/room are accurate which is always appreciated. We liked that this place was just south of the very busy parts of downtown but still easy to walk to...probably a 10-15 minute walk. We would walk in for lunch and/or dinner each day. There's also an Irish pub right next door if you don't feel like walking, and they had a fun atmosphere with good food/drink. Bottom line....we look forward to staying there again. Enjoy!

Visited the New England area for a wedding and had never been to Rhode Island. Newport was a top city is several lists for many reasons. Stayed at the Bouchard due to its price in comparison to other resorts. The warm croissants were delicious in the morning. Best part was the overall location, walking distance to everything! Would love to return when I have the time.

Wasn't sure what to expect after booking a last minute trip here. I have had mixed experienced with B&Bs and since I'm not a morning person, the breakfast is actually sometimes an inconvenience. We absolutely loved every moment of our stay. Britney checked us in and was so sweet and prompt. Happy to help with recommendations. Our room was in the harbor house. Very spacious and super clean. Loved that everything was decorated in a modern French theme. Read other reviews saying that it could be loud next to the bar, but ours was perfectly quiet in the harbor house. The best surprise of all--warm morning pastries delivered outside your door in a bag--ready to be eaten at your connivence. They were delicious in addition to the yogurt parfait! Another bonus: everything uses a key pad so there are no heavy keys or annoying cards to lug around! Can't wait to come back.

Found that cute hotel and booked two nights for our stay. Comfortable room and nice view on harbour. Small but excellent breakfast (some sweet croussaints and yogurt with fruits). Parking behind the house for free.

We booked the Bouchard for a one night stay and could not have been more pleased! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious. We stayed in room 2. There is a white noise machine provided and ear plugs, as there is a bar next door. We never needed to make use of them since we used the air conditioner. The continental breakfast was very nice - warm pastry and yogurt. The in room coffee service was an added bonus. There is a small fridge in the room stocked with water, OJ and milk/coffee creamer. Everyone we came into contact with at the Inn was a pleasure. Our host, Carmen, was incredibly hospitable and made us feel very welcome. We loved this location because it was within walking distance to shops and restaurants, but not right in the thick of things. We did not have a chance to dine at the restaurant, but appreciated the fact that when we came in for the evening we were able to purchase a nightcap to take back to our room. A fabulous place to stay and highly recommend!

Food is delicious . We had the monk fish with an amazing sauce and an escargot app and they made a souflee for dessert that was so good. The service was excellent too.i would definitely go back again.

We stayed at the Bouchard inn for 2 nights. Our room was great. It was large well kept and very comfortable. The refrigerator had water milk and oj in stock. The only drawback were the outlets. Only a couple worked. And in today’s age of electronic u need those outlets. Breakfast pastries were a nice touch

The Bouchard Inn has a great location! You can walk to all the Mansions and downtown. The rooms are cozy and that have thought of everything, even down to a white noise machine. Breakfast is delivered every morning and was homemade yogurt and pastry! The restaurant is the cherry on top! Rated as the best restaurant in Newport, it is well deserved. The food is superb, the service flawless and the ambiance delightful

My fiance and I spent Memorial Day Weekend at the Bouchard Inn. Granted it was a holiday weekend, I knew going into it that the rates would be a bit expensive, but given the great reviews my thought was it would be worth it. That said, while the stay was decent and location was great and walking distance to most places, we will likely look elsewhere next time. Pros: - great location, walking distance to all of the main bars and restaurants on Thames - parking spot available for hotel guests which was great since parking is a prime in Newport - bed was very comfortable Cons: - if you're coming here on vacation and want to be able to get some good shut eye and wake up rested, this place is not for you. - the bar next door (O'Briens) pumps music until 1am and there's no escaping the bass in your room (at least not ours) - Saturday morning we woke up to what sounded like WW3 starting outside our door. I didn't have the energy to wake up since we were up until 1am anyways due to the music, but fairly certain the garbage trucks were picking up the bins on the street (which was 30 feet from our door). It scared the sh*t out of us and startled us awake, so yeah, Saturday we were pretty tired all day. There's obviously a bunch of good things about the hotel, but for the money I spent on 3 nights here I would've rather stayed at the Marriott knowing I'd be able to actually sleep and rest on vacation, and still be in walking distance to everything.
