Whatever you do, do NOT book this hotel. It’s so shady. They canceled my reservation the day of check in for no apparent reason. I tried to check in around noon, and they told me my room was not ready. I came back after a day in the city to check in around 11pm and they informed me that because I did not prepay for my room, they gave it to someone else who walked in from the street needing a place to stay because “they paid.” Orbitz clearly states that you can either pay at booking or pay on site when you check in. The girl at the front desk kept stating “You didn’t pay” although I arrived ready to pay and well before midnight which is the cutoff for check in. It was awful to feel like I had nowhere to stay and no place to go my last night in New York. I was on the phone with Orbitz for over an hour and the best they could do was send me to another hotel nearby that also gave me an extremely hard time checking in and required another customer service call to get sorted. And I had prepaid for that room and had the cash deposit required in hand. It made no sense. I don’t know what is with the hotels in Flushing, but I’ll never stay there again. They don’t cooperate with Orbitz’s policies. They just do what they want to turn a dollar. Reservations mean nothing and even if you prepay, they seem to not care if they actually give you a room or not. It’s well worth your money to pay a higher rate for more legitimate hotels closer to the city.
Hotel stinks with smoke. This is a motel not a hotel. Smoke free room smell like you ina cigarette chamber. Poor customer service
The hotel staff sucks, the room are dirty no towels no refrigerator nowhere to heat up your food no ice this is the worst hotel I have ever came across
I didn't like how they didnt take any precautions for the virus i brought my own disinfectant wipes
all of property is ok. based on 2.6 star, this property is good enough.
It was comfortable and cheap price and it had s good smell to it had a great night
Smells bleach all over the place, elevator not working I had to go down the stairs from 5th floor with my suitcase. Terrible staff.
The property is in downtown flushing and convenient walking distance to the tennis center and Mets stadium. The property is clean, however the beds are only box springs and incredibly hard. A vacuum was stored in the elevator every day. The property seems to be some sort of homeless shelter hotel, as there were people staying there who had the most incredibly bad body odor you could imagine. The hotel was constantly having to spray down the elevators. The rest of the floor had a particularly bad odor as well.
No doubt the price was my favorite as this place was inexpensive and located in a very convenient location to dependable mass transit (although not perfect of course). I can't complain since it saved me some money compared to other hotels. I wouldn't choose to stay here again unless I absolutely have to because the biggest disappointments are the rooms I got don't have a closet and the safe deposit boxes in both rooms I've been in don't work at all. Minor stuff are dirty carpets (which is fine for a man staying alone) and the 1st room I got smelled like cigarettes so I had to request a room change. Also, bring your own hangers because the amenity equivalent to a "closet" is just 3 coat hooks on the wall. Both rooms I've been in also has iron boards but no iron but I'm not sure if that is by request only. Beds are fine though but bath towels are quite old - taking 2 of those to completely dry up after a shower and hair wash for me as a 5'5" slim man.
The breakfast is included...but terrible there were nothing to eat or drink they put very cheap stuff like they are feeding a homeless. the location is terrible if you ask for a lyft driver you have to wait more than 30 mins because most of the drivers cannot find the hotel. ..the I paid $131 For a very poor experience ..also they will give you a smoking room even if you book a non smoking...so I had to go back to reception and complain....it is a chinese hotel in china town...and I did not know that ..it was not mention on orbitz! i will never book with orbitz
Very old, poor facilities and ton of noise from main st. I won't stay here again.
I didn’t like this hotel or how it looked in person. Pictures are very deceiving.
