We booked an ocean view room called point village. The room had an ocean view but was miles away from Firefly and was rather run down and we felt unsafe. We thought point village was the name of the studio apartment, but it was actually the name of an apartment complex far from Firefly. The location was very isolated and the beach area was rather small and rocky. Luckily we were able to transfer to Firefly 2 days later but felt we had wasted 2 days at Point Village. The advertisement was misleading and it was certainly not clear that this was a different property, even though it was owned by Firefly. Our stay at Firefly was wonderful but wish we could have been there the whole time.

Not what I expected for what I paid. Its in a good location but not the standard im used to.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Internet was bit of a problem.

My family and I enjoyed staying in the Pelican Suite. This turned out to be perfect space for our family of 5. We stayed at 3 different places during our 11 day stay in Negril (Rui and Samsara as well), and this was by far our favorite. My wife and I felt much more "taken care of" here than even at the mega resort Rui. The staff here was so awesome to help me with my wife's birthday as well as Valentines Day. We had guests come and visit for dinner and rather than make them feel like intruders, they made them feel at home---that was amazing! This is a very good value. I also believe this resort is owned and operated locally---which is important, as so much of the dollars in Negril are controlled by companies outside of Jamaica.

Booked a room that was supposed to have an ocean view and a delightful queen bedroom. Got a roadside room with 3 beds in a loft area. Bathroom downstairs perilously steep, no hot water, antiquated bathroom. Never to be repeated.
