I love this hotel! I always feel so safe and protected when i stay here its been multiple times and the feelings are always the same. Housekeeping is amazing and security is top notch ill always stay here.

Great stay, location, and staff. Greater than the fuss of resorts.

Rooms Negril was awesome. The staff all the way to the room and beach we simply excellent!

Check-in was easy. The room was clean, comfortable, & accommodating. The in-room safe was good. The only thing I did not like was my room view. I had a patio that was facing the supply room. Wish I could of had a better view. However, I did enjoy my time there. The beach is beautiful! I had no problem getting a beach chair. This hotel is in a good location and is walkable to other places in the area. Also, the hotel staff was friendly. I would visit again.

Very nice stay at Rooms Negril. The beach is incredible and definitely one of the best that i have ever visited. The rooms are basic but provide what you expect for the value. The restaurant is not so great but Rooms is close to local fare nearby. I have some of the most delicious jerk chicken just across the street. The staff provides the basics expected for the value and greeted me at all times with great Jamaican hospitality. Negril town is still a young beach town in terms of tourist offerings, Ricks cafe being one of them, otherwise it is for the tourist looking for some R and R on the beach.

Our experience was not great at Rooms. We booked last minute and it was the only hotel available. We paid an average of $177 per night which doesn't seem bad for being right on the beach. However, in past years we've stayed at other resorts on the beach for $60-$80 per night and had a better experience. When we arrived we were put in a room that they had obviously rushed to clean. There was a dirty diaper on the floor by the curtains. Additionally, the coffee pot did not work. Also, they put us in a room with a broken lock so every time we wanted to get back in our room we had to go to the front desk. Pretty annoying but manageable until the second day when they lost the key and we were locked out of our room for several hours. To compensate they gave us free lunch which about a $30 value and did not include any drinks. Once they realized no one was coming to unlock the door they moved us to a functioning room but without any offer to help us move our bags. The coffee pot was broken in this room as well. The hotel seemed to be constantly running out of linens either for the rooms or for the beach towels. The complimentary continental breakfast consisted of corners of bread, stale pastries and fruit on the verge of going bad. You can get a better breakfast anywhere on the beach for under $10. The only good thing about this hotel is it's location on 7 - mile beach. Other than that it seems like a hotel on the decline. Next time I would chose to stay somewhere else.

It was very good. We did not get a king size bed when we first arrived and had to sleep in a double. The servers were very accomodating, the front desk not so much. The location was perfect and we will come back again.

Great time - wish a fridge was standard for every room.

The rooms are nice and clean. Good shower. Wished for a refrigerator and wifi, but both were extra $. The restaurant closed at 3:30 and the bar at 5:00 and then there was nothing going on at all. We just relaxed at the beach as best we could but were constantly harassed by the locals. Security was very good and I felt safe. I would go back to Negril, but probably not this hotel. There is a restaurant next door that played very loud Regge music until all hours of the night a could nights a week and it was tough sleeping. I would have liked better food at a better price at this hotel. I got shocked by the lamp when I tried to turn it on the first night. That was very scary. If you are going to Negril to do nothing but lounge around and relax and you want to save money, this would be fine.

Our first trip to Jamaica. Decided not to stay at all inclusive resort. Had to get used to the exchange rate and understand how laid back everything was, but within the first day got it figured out and loved it. Very nice people, Breezy our cab driver was terrific, he took care of us, let us know good places to go and picked up timely and waiting for us when needed. He is the best. The hotel is nice, clean we spent just a little bit of time there because we went out to see everything, but the breakfast was nice and even though no wi-fi could use the computers in the hotel lobby to check email, Etc. for free. Thank you for the great service.

We dis get this at a great deal, and didn't really care much about the continental breakfast. However, as time got closer to our Rsvp, we began to appreciate , and look forward to it. However, it ended up only being pastries. Ho hum..oh and the mosquitoes ate me alive. Spoke to front desk, and the manager said that they were looking to spray the property. Why were there people sitting at their tables eating with bottles of "OFF"...??!! Otherwise, cute rooms...

Room Negril is just the right place to stay on 7 mile beach. it is a typical caribbean hotel that provides the basic needs for the "non all inclusive" guest looking to find traditional island hospitality. my room was nicely appointed with the basics. the only thing missing was the mini fridge (you can however rent one if you really need it). the grounds were very well taken care of and there was always someone landscaping. the restaurant was a bit disappointing but you are steps away from good local ones. the "sweet spot" restaurant near and has really good curry goat. the beach is awesome. the water crystal clear, nice and warm. perhaps a bit too many hustlers but learn how to say NO and they will leave you alone.

I have been to many hotels in my time travelling all over the world, and found Rooms Negril a very nice place to stay, for the money! The staff were great, willing to assist in everyway possible, and even the security went out of their way to help ensure a awesome experience. My only regret is that my visit was too short! Thanks everybody for bearing with some members of my family, special thanks to Kelvin, chef, and all the others. Thank you!

Had a great time staying at Room's. Hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel was full and I was bumped to the Tree House hotel the first night. The Tree House is a great place to stay,so don't be mad if this happens to you. I will stay at Rooms again if the price does not get to high.

Good stay. Some problems, leaky bathroom. No hot water. Other stuff. But staff repaired it quickly. Better than before. Would stay again if price was right.

Our room needed more privacy and we were unable to charge food on our credit card.Germaine the bartender seemed indifferent to our orders and in fact set his own price for a drink after he made it. $13 american bought 1 fresh fruit drink and 1 fresh fruit drink with rum. We bought our drinks elsewhere.

The one thing we did enjoy about the hotel was the friendliness of most staff, excluding the front desk personnal. Otherwise, we did not enjoy Rooms. We had many issues at the hotel starting with checking in and issues related to that. We had a water pipe burst which left no water for most of a day, but the showers were lukewarm at best otherwise, we had many different issues with the front desk related to guest services, pool towels, gratuity charges. The continental breakfast included two pieces of toast and about 3 oz of juice, not what the menu stated. A couple traveling with us arriving two days later with confirmed reservations were turned out to be lost and took two days and many conversations with staff to get straightened out and have a room ready for them. Overall, not a pleasurable hotel experience.

Some of hotel staff were nice. Room was clean. Too many higglers, too many even for me who goes to Jamaica all the time. Restaurant staff were rude and would not even get up from slouching in chair to do anything at all. Asked for a spoon and was told we cannot give any spoons ask at the hotel office. No spoon for coffee!

We loved the hotel and the staff are super friendly! however [...] told us it was all inclusive and when we got there it turned out that it wasnt! not very happy about that. the restaraunt breakfast was ok but the continental couldnt have gotten any worse. so we ventured out a lot to eat. If you get anything delivered to your room it will be 3 dollars more for each item so try not to do that if you can. You are allowed to order and take back to your room if you please. If you decide to take a taxi anywhere make sure you only take the ones with the red plates. they are actually registered as taxi's with the tourism board. the guards at the front gate are excellent and very helpful if you have any questions definately ask them. they dont let you leave without knowing where you are going and when you will be back, and if you leave in a taxi that same person must bring you back. they write down the driver name and his plate number as well(for safety reasons). If you are wanting to schedule any excursions i would wait to do it when you get there, including traveling by bus from the airport. It's cheaper and they will know which places are most convient for you to go to compared to where your hotel is located. [...] DO NOT DO THE SUNSET TOUR! the host of the tour was very unprofessional and unclear as to where you are going to meet when finished shopping. They will drop you off at a huge mall that is literally a two minute walk from Rooms and only give you 30 minutes to look around! Not worth it!! That is something you can do on your own time. Ricks cafe is pricey so i would advise against eating there. You also wait for your food for up to 2 hours and servers dont come back to the table that often. there is a gratituity of 20% already included in the total amount so if you have bad service they still get a tip when you pay the bill. (almost all the restaurants in jamaica are this way, so be sure not to double tip unless it was really worth it.) also make sure you bring small bills. Everyone takes US dollars but most will give you J's in change and you will get less change than what they owe you back this way. You can exchange your money at the airport if you would like.

Although the hotel was lovely, the service at the restaurant was awful. The continental breakfast was included with our package and every day we practically had to beg to get a bowl of cereal. We found the staff to be exceptionally slow (except for one lady). We never got a napkin with our breakfast and there were never any napkins laid out so we could serve ourselves. We also found that the breakfast would have been so much better if they had just included a small plate of fresh fruit with it. The coffee urn was never full and we constantly had it run out no matter how early we got there. When we asked for more the response was 'sorry, we don't have anymore'. This customer service was poor. The pool person's name was [...] and he was the bright spot in our day - he was always helpful and cheerful and genuinely wanted to please us without expecting a tip everytime we turned around.
