1. We had to change rooms because smoke alarm kept going off at random moments (no smoke around us).
2. Food was hit or miss. Reminds you of Carnival cruise.
3. Room service was 1.5 hr late every day. They have an app but they dont bring at the time u requested. No show 2x
4. App doesn't always work when making reservations. There is a receptionist set up outside giftshop that can help you. She made us a reserv. but when we went to check in, the hostesses said she did see us on the list. (they print the list exactly at 5p) I inform her reservation was just made 15 mins ago. She said "she should have known better & then they proceed to talk badly about the girl at the giftshop for making the reservation. Finally a gentlemen comes over & tells them to seat us. FYI: there were only 2 other couples seated inside and it is now 6:10p
5. The excursion compay onsite does airport shuttle. They scheduled us for a 3:45AM departure. The lobby was pitch black w Zen music on the loud speaker. The attendees were all sleep. We say in dark w no way to ck out. they turn on lights once shuttle reach front gate. The lady told us we need to ck out, we told here there was not one at front desk. we waited again but no showed so we got in van but they would not allow us to leave out gate. We go back, he scribbles our name/room# on note.no receipt. HORRIBLE PROCESS!!!

The staff were wonderful. I loved how friendly and outgoing they were and they made it a point every day to make you feel welcome. The property is dated and needs some maintenance, but the views are breathtaking. The food at the buffet was delicious! The two cooks who made omelets every morning always had a smile on their faces and they were so friendly, even when some people were grumpy . I’ve never been at a resort where I loved almost everything. We enjoyed eating At Dorado , ocean point, and calypso. I appreciated the separation of families and adults and loved to be able to do activities, the beach and bars on both sides. I also enjoyed access to walk across other beaches. We thought there was a lot of variety in the restaurant choices as well as having snacks at the coffee shop and sports bar. The only negative thing was our swim out room was right on the end (busiest place) where the staff and guests walked by constantly and we had a lot of noise such as cleaning carts and conversations going by . The view and room itself was beautiful , I would just pick a different location next time.

First, I would have to say that my husband and I have been to many all inclusives. I have never seen an all inclusive resort that put such a high expectation on tipping. We literally spent hundreds in tipping. you would expect the service to be just as high. We went all week without our housekeeper replacing our coffee packet. We had to ask. One day we did not get two washcloths. I called the front desk and they said they would get one right up. We waited. I called again. They said it was because of the weather. It was raining out. We never got one. On Thursday, the day before we left, the front desk called to let us know that our housekeeper was off the next day and if we needed anything leave her a note on the bed. I have never had people be so blatant about a tip.
The rooms smelled musty all week long. The staff stands outside and will snag you and ask you how your time is and our friends got talked in to an hour long discussion about timeshare. They stopped us to ask about our stay. Said we could get a deep clean for the musty smell, and maybe a gift on our anniversary! My husband declined the sales pitch. No deep clean came, and no gift. We could never get a reservation at one of the restaurants at a decent time. The app for it sucked. We walked in and asked to be squeezed in and were sometimes able. If you’re going to spend this kind of money, go to Sandals where they have more things to do.

So disappointed with this property! Stayed at the Royalton 4 times previously and this was my first time in the sister hotel the hideaway. Had the penthouse suite which had huge jacuzzi pool overlooking the ocean. This was my main reason for choosing this room but sadly the jacuzzi was unusable as it was freezing cold. I asked numerous times for somebody to come and fix it but this never happened. Also, i thought i would try the jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom. However, this had no plug so no way of being able to use this facility either! I was told i had 24/7 room service and a butler and so ordered breakfast at 7am. Breakfast delivered cold at 9am! Numerous complaints made on the property and i was told it would be dealt with and i would be called or/and emailed with a response and resolution. This hasnt happened either so a dreadful experience from a 5 star resort im afraid

I will was extremely disappointed. I have stayed here before but never again. I woild not consider this a "luxury " resorts. Our room was out dated, leaked paint into our swim up pool which one fixed and the third night the ceiling in the room leaked water and our floor wae dangerously wet.

We stayed at Hideaway at Royalton Negril. It was perfect for us. The food was exceptional. Staff were friendly and helpful. The entertainment was good. It's located on a point so on the beach it was only people who were staying at Royalton allowed. There was no cross traffic from other resorts or locals trying to sell stuff. I felt completely comfortable leaving our items on our lounge chairs for extended periods of time while we ate, swam or whatever. What I really like was it had a mix of nice sandy beach and rocky shore so the beach sitting/ocean floating was great but also, the snorkeling was fantastic. I saw live conch for the first time, many starfish, different color sea urchins and tons of fish I couldn't begin to identify.

The property has a scenic view of the sea and mountains that is calming and refreshing. From our room we were able to observe both sunrise and sunset. They also appear to be respective of the environment

No bananas, no limes, no mint, no cranberry juice, no 7up. We asked fir 4 different drinks and they had none, so finally just asked for a rum and 7...NOPE...NO 7UP. We just laughed. They had no booze at half the bars. They mixed up online dinner reservations every night, so then they tell you to ho to buffet. It is truly unbelievable. I spent my hard earned money . I will never return to this resort that must be going under. Room was beautiful and view was nice but everything else was very very poor.

For a property advertised as a luxury experience, this was certainly a let down. Considering the price of almost 900 dollars per night, the cost did not match the services provided. For starters, the cleanliness of the room was terrible. The room had a moldy smell that lingered, there was hair all over the room that clearly did not belong to me, and we saw roaches in our room twice during our 5-day stay. Dining options were just average, nothing memorable. The entertainment and access to the beach were by far the only two things about this property that I enjoyed. I’ve stayed at several high end hotels and some all-inclusive, and this by far was the worst. Not worth the money at all

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were all friendly and courteous. The room was beautiful. The food in the buffet was very good.
The beaches were beautifully maintained.
My only complaint would be the restaurants:
- was difficult to get a reservation.
- the food in the steak restaurant was awful.
- the Tex Mex restaurant was closed but we were not notified and then had to scramble to get in elsewhere.
- the wine and champagne were terrible and I had to pay to get a decent bottle
Having said that, I would still recommend this resort.
