This was our first time staying at a Sandal's and it will be our last. We had to chase down room service staff multiple times for toilet paper, wash clothes and coffee refills because they would clean the room but not restock it. They never took the dirty towels or glasses when cleaning the room.
They should not say they have top self liquor, because they do not !!! If we wanted anything other then the house wine we had to pay $25 a glass at minimum.
We could never get a chair at the beach or the pool. Maybe if we wanted to go down at midnight to stake one out we would have some luck. We were told by fellow guest that the only way to get chairs at beach or pool was to have a butler. Sad, we paid $7000 for this trip ...you want me to pay more to get a pool side chair. Rediculous.
The beach area is tiny, we made an attempt at their private island. We tried to get a cocktail before we waited for the 3:30 boat back (last one was at 4 pm) we were told the bar closed early because the staff had to take the same boat we did, so everything was closed up. So we went to wati for the boat, when it got there staff got first privledge over all the guests, and we could not get on because that made th boat full. Total BS.
We did take advantage of diving each day so we would have something to do. I do have to say the Dive shop employees were amazing. We did enjoy them.
Its really sad the way this place is ran. It is NOTHING like what you see in the commercials.
