The staff was very good, except for the woman who was on duty when I checked out. That morning, because my car needed to be towed and I had to rearrange everything in the car and room to stay at my cousins, I asked her if I could check out later. She said firmly, "We dont have late checkout. I can give you till 11:30."
I thought that was rather extreme but did my best to get everything out by then, and failed. I had been traveling and sleeping in my car since I left CT.. Everything I needed was in it. Plus I was co-ordinating the pickup of the car by the tow company, as well as my cousin coming to pick me up.
This same woman, who I estimate to be between 40 and 50 years, long reddish blond hair, nice looking, came to the room and saw it was still in disarray at 11:45. She was angry. I was getting the number of the auto repair shop from the laptop when she walked in. She assumed I was "playing on my computer" or some such nonsense.
I said I could be out in 15 minutes, but that wasnt good enough for her. She said, "Do you want me to charge your card for another day??" I said, NO!! and scrambled frantically to get out. She came back and said, "Your card wouldnt go thru. The police will escort you out."
My cousin, whom I hadnt seen for a long time was coming, and to think of her seeing the police chucking me out of the motel...I was in tears.
The police didnt come but the experience was so terrible I will never return to that motel.unless that woman is fired.
