I stayed at the hotel for three evenings. Small room for two people but very clean and close to central station in Munich. Breakfast was nice at a good price compare to other hotels in the region. I would recommend the hotel for a short stay
We stayed at the Leonardo for three nights, the room was spacious enough enough to accommodate two people without feeling cramped, Our room paced the main road, it was loud when we opened the window, but with closed windows it was very quiet. We did not use the bar or restaurant so can't comment on that. The lobby and halls and elevator all feel pleasant and did had no complaints
Great hotel very good location restaurants are close and a lot of nice coffee shops near by. really friendly staff. Nice breakfast great choices room are very clean. the internet is easy to connect and fast
We stayed here during a recent tour of Germany. The hotel was not centrally located; you needed to take a bus to shop or sightsee. The hotel was very clean and modern but the rooms were on the small side.
We stayed here 2 nights, while on an Insight Tour. The room was large enough and had adequate lighting. There were sufficient outlets. In room 204 - only a shower. There was a lighted make up mirror and a towel warmer in the bathroom. The bed had a better mattress than any hotel that we had shared in so far. Coffee pot and a free bottle of water - only it was not still water, so we didn't like it. There was a room safe - large enough for an iPad and several other items. The thermostat worked very well and was easy to work. The staff were friendly. Breakfast (buffet) was quite good and had a large selection. I would definitely stay here again.
This was a nice, modern hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Since we were with a tour of people, we all had breakfast around the same time (approx 40 people)... that breakfast area was way tooo small to fit such a large group of people... most of the food was in one area and it was hard to maneuver around the tables, chairs, and people.... other than that, the place was nice and worked for our 1 night stay!
First time at this hotel because the Leonardo Royal, where I usually stay, wasn't available. Had a room on the highest floor, which was nice and quiet, although the window can't be left open as there is a lot of traffic on the street. However, no need to leave it open as the room had a well working A/C. Breakfast was good, but obviously not as much variety as in the Royal, which is absolutely fine. There is also dinner available, but if you wish to eat Bavarian style, there is a Biergarten in walking distance as well. Parking is available underneath, but the lots are very narrow and are set up like ramps, a bit challenging to get in/on there with a bigger car. There is a Tram-station close by with direct link to the city center. I will always prefer the Royal, because it is higher scale and closer to work, but this is a very good back-up option.
It was nice until my luggage has been stolen/just taken by another "guest" from reception! Hotel does not take any responsibility, does not provide any compensation. I did not ask for police right at the moment of loss, because the staff reassured me that they will treat it anyway! Now I really regret about it! Unfortunately after 1,5 month they just ask me to go to my local police and try to solve it there... fantastic!!! I still believe that this big company / chain of hotels worldwide!!! is able to be client oriented and compensate the loss. The loss estimation is 1,5k euro!
I happened to stay here in this hotel for two nights with a group tour. The room I stayed in had dim lighting so very hard to find things. I had two items missing from my room. At first I thought it was a coincidence. Second time around I knew it was a thief that cleaned my room. Another person from our tour group also lost an item during their stay. Too much of a coincidence. There is a personal safe, but not everything fits in there. I have stayed in numerous hotels around Europe and have never had this problem before. There are good restaurants close by but it is a bit of a hike to the main centre. I definitely won't be staying here again if I ever pass thru Munich again.
Munich is such a vibrant city and yet, this hotel, was about as far away from the Old Town and all the other interesting places as you can get. We were meant to stay at the Leonardo Hotel Munich City but somehow, our tour operator, got us stuck here, for two nights. The worst part is that the entrance has a bike path, exactly where the bus drops you and you have to make sure you don't collide with any of the many cyclists whizzing past when you step out of the bus. Next, the staff is disorganised and my key didn't fit my room. Even more, the room is TINY. I had a comfortable sleep but the next morning at breakfast, the dining room is designed in a strange way and the buffet was crowded. I was walking out and nearly got steamrolled by a large Asian man, who literally walked into me, in his haste to get to the buffet, it was though I wasn't there. "Excuse me," I said. He stood back, unused to people standing up to his rudeness. "I am here in this space. Please don't walk over me." The German waiter rolled his eyes at me in sympathy as I walked out of this place, thinking, "Why are we staying here?" All I can say is that I'm sure we would have enjoyed staying at the Leonardo Munich City Hotel much more than this one.
