The location is good and near a metro station, however, the personnel is not friendly. After driving the whole day and arriving tired, we were looking for a place to park the car and asked the staff where the parking was that is described as being provided by the hotel. The staff reacted annoyed and was not helpful. Even though they did apologise later for the unfriendly welcome, this spoiled the mood for us. Furthermore, the wifi was very bad on our floor. I would not recommend this hotel.
One of the best hotels I've ever been Bearing in mind the receptionist that were not helpful , nice at all !! The guys in the restaurant were soooooooo amazing and the food was super super nice 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 The location is good , accesible
We booked this hotel through booking.com in April to stay for 4 nights tonight. Unfortunately my husband had an accident and we have been unable to travel. When we booked the Rivoli it was stated via booking.com that the hotel may at some stage take 90% of the booking cost. This money was taken from our account 2 days later. To make matters worse we received an email from booking.com last night which said we needed to book alternative dates for the hotel by today otherwise we would be charged the full cost for our stay. This would not be possible as we are unsure whether we can go again. I think this is a very poor service by both booking.com and Rivoli Hotel and I wanted to warn people about this response by both.
The location is very nice, it's 1 minute away from train station (U6 & S7), staff is so friendly. Breakfast is delicious (10 Euros per day). The room is very clean and comfortable. I'd like to go back if I visit Munich again.
We really liked the hotel. It is clean, cozy and quiet . We came for the conference so it was important to have good breakfast to get enough energy. Yes, breakfasts are very good here. There were many things to choose from even for me, and I am a vegetarian (not vegan). Especially I enjoyed olives, nuts and dried fruits. Yogurt was also great. The room was clean and had all the things we needed. One of the things I liked most of all is that there is no bar in the lobby. I don't like such kind of hotels where the first thing you see when you come in is...a bar. So it was quiet all the time. Especially we would like to thank Mr. Deniz from the reception for the highest level of service and hospitality.
The hotel has a medium quality. The room and bathroom are quite small but clean. Unluckily on the first floor non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms are mixed, so there is a bad smell on the floor wich enters the room too. Breakfast is good for the salty part, but below average for the sweet part. I travelled all around the world and it's the first time that I find a hotel without any kind of croissant at breakfast! The position is great, just beside the U station.
POSITIVES: •Nice breakfast with very pleasant staff. •Constant welcome juice for guest (though I did not try it myself, it was always there in the lobby) •Right beside an S-bahn station (not the main line) •Near Lidl supermarket NEGATIVES: •Very poor WIFI connection in the room. Can't load a simple google map or WhatsApp. My wife and I stayed in the lobby every night till late to use the WIFI. •For my in-laws room, they were missing a set of pillow, blanket and towel. We sounded out when we checked in. When we came back at 9pm. It was still lacking. We waited at the lobby to ensure that my in-laws get their set. •My room smell of cigarettes smoke constantly as my non-smoking room was located amongst the smoking rooms. It had a very small corridor, thus, I guess that's how the cigarettes smoke got into my room. As such, it was difficult to sleep as I am constantly breathing in cigarettes smoke. •We couldn't change our room as the hotel was fully booked. I'm very certain that I will not book with this place anymore.
No air conditioning , no air conditioning , no air conditioning .... Not three star...Not by western standards. Maybe 3 star by Soviet standards. This is Bavaria not the Soviet union. Very small functional rooms , no frills. if your paying less than 40 euro then it's okay , if you're paying more than 40 Euro for a three-star hotel then this is not what you Want.
We recently travelled to Munich and stayed at the Hotel Rivoli, not to be confused with the sister hotel next door which is the Rivoli Ambience. We checked in pretty late around 11pm staff were waiting for us. I had only booked the day before a triple room as travelling with husband and teenage son Advised we had a big room on the top floor - which is 6th floor. There is a very small lift that holds maximum of 4 people so if you had a lot of luggage this may pose a problem, we travel light so was OK The room was very big, a large L shaped sofa that doubled as a bed for my son, large king size bed and huge bathroom, although a little out dated in black marble was of very good standard (better than some 4 / 5 star hotels I have stayed in) Breakfast was included in our stay which upon looking for hotels in Munich is not the norm. This was really adequate serving cereals, pastries, fruit, yogurt, breads & jams plus lots of hams & cheeses. Juice, tea, coffee and hot chocolates also available. The dining room is really well decorated. So no complaints at all about breakfast. The metro stop literally is only 50 metres away so great location We also walked around at night and found a couple of typical German beer gardens, which were great and served massive portions. We were there for one night of the Euro football games and many locals attended and we joined in and had paint applied to our faces Probably the only thing I would like to of seen is tea & coffee making facilities in the hotel rooms
Our stay we wonderful and amazing ! Reception are very helpful especially the night shift staff who assisted us when we had a power trip in the room , he im deity shifted us in another room , breakfast was sumptuous "oh I love the bacon and the white sausages ". The location is perfectly allotted near harras metro station , more or less 5 minutes walking distance. The only glitch is the scheduled internet in the room . Over all was good stay
