First impressions were extremely friendly and cheerful staff, lovely and chic room which was very clean and a great breakfast selection. Would definitely come again. The location is ideal. The S-Bahn is literally a 2 minute walk away which connects you to all the sights and town centre.
We stayed here for the christmas markets and found a bargain through trivago, 2 nights for less than £100. We arrived at Munich city centre on the train, easy peasy - go downstairs and jump on the S bahn, and we arrived at the haufbahnhof, central station. From there we jumped on a tram to visit the palace and other sights. The hotel is right next to Harras station, which is less than 10 minutes U bahn ride to marienplatz (christmas markets). U bahn tickets were cheap, we found by getting a group bayern ticket from the machines that up to 5 adults could travel unlimited for 1 day for less than £20. This covers trains, underground and trams. We used this same ticket to go to Neuchwanstein castle. The hotel itself was modern, lovely and spacious and our room overlooked a neighbourhood quad on the back, very quiet. Bathroom was large with deep bath, shower and bidet. Bed was a queensize, and lovely and comfortable. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. We did not eat breakfast here. We would definitely book here again, cheap prices for a great room so close to city centre.
My friend and I stayed at the hotel for four days on our trip to visit the Christmas markets. The hotel is very conveniently located about two minutes from the Harras u-bahn station. There was a small Christmas market, a supermarket and restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance. The room was spacious and very clean. Our room faced the main road but there was no traffic noise. The bathroom had a good-sized walk-in shower. My only complaint was that the bed was a bit hard for my liking but that is just personal taste. The staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast was available over a three-hour or so slot and there was plenty of variety. I would be very happy to stay in this hotel again.
If you can get a deal at under 100$/night, it's one of the best price/quality you can find ! Big room, nicely renovated, free wifi. The breakfast is very good and wide range of food. The only drawback for tourist is that you have to take public transportation to get the citycenter (more than 1 hour walk otherwise...). But the hotel is 2 minutes walk for U-Bahn (undergroud) and then you reach the center in 15 minutes. Underground parking 13Euros/night.
The rooms are extremely spacious and very comfortable so we had a very good nights sleep. The bathrooms are modern and come with a bathtub / jacuzzi. Breakfast is great and the hotel is 100m away from the metre. Would highly recommend!
I had to visit Munich on short notice due to medical issues. Found the hotel to be most accommodating in all aspects. Rooms were more than adequate for a 4 star hotel and beds were very comfortable. What made me enjoy the hotel experience the most were the staff. Always exceptional service and willingness to do anything, five star quality, nothing an issue. Highly recommended. Breakfast was also quality.
I booked this during Octoberfest so I found it (and the city) at the time quite an expensive stay. I stayed for business however did find it a very pleasant stay. The room was large and comfortable, the location was acceptable, just 5 stops from Marienplatz and the centre of town. However the local surroundings seem not to offer a great deal and is facing straight onto a main road, I'm pleased to say this noise does not carry into the hotel/rooms. One big compliment I have was the food. The breakfast was very nice and the choice of sausages was fantastic and tasty! We also ate here during the day as part of our business workshop and the food they provided was well varied and again excellent and flavoursome quality. However if staying here for pleasure I probably wouldnt have eaten here as wanting a more local restarant experience nor would I have paid over 200euros a night. Finally the reception area and bar was a pleasant place to sit and have a quite drink, the hotel and reception staff where very helpful! Emailing and answering my questions pre-arrival and assisting with directions, travel timings and booking of taxis etc.
Came for the fest. The park is a couple of U bahn stops from the hotel. Wooden floors. Bathrooms good, breakfast good. Staff friendly enough and all speak English. There is a Lidl very near as well. A few coffee shops dotted around but the area is a bit drab.
We stayed here for a couple of days in August. Our room was on the top floor - now the hotel has a gabled roof and therefore our room had a gabled ceiling. So you could only stand up in half of the room - not very convenient! We had problems with both the shower and the air conditioning and had to have them both fixed. Breakfast was nice and the outlook from the dining room was lovely. However when we wanted to have dinner one night we were told it wasn't possible as they were hosting a conference and the attendees had booked out the restaurant. We were sent down the road to an indian restaurant. This was very disappointing - surely they could have still fed the hotel guests..... The location was a bit out of the way - but very close to the train station. Staff were very friendly. However if we did venture to Munich again we would probably stay somewhere closer to the city.
The stay was not completely satisfactory: no parking possibility, at the reception people not always friendly (especially at the check out, very impolite), breakfast insufficient (variety and quality), room not really clean. at the check out we did not receive the invoice, information from hotel is thatintenet provider should send it. we need the invoice, who will send us?
