Sorry for writing this comment, I'm not used to write a very bad comment for any hotel. But they really make me and my family suffering with the bad service and poor facilities. The make me go to my room on fourth floor by stairs because the elevator is ooo for three days and even bellboy not available to help with the luggage issue. There are no room service or even cafeteria or restaurant inside the hotel and you need to go out if you need any thing to eat or drink. In the evening and night there are only old man with about 70 yrs old at reception alone with nobody with him. There you can only take poor breakfast. I don't recommend this hotel to anybody.
expectations we badly not met; reception lady friendly and helpful but limited English; tiny elevator which one could manage only just with ones own baggage, I saw some very obese americans going up one by one and in another case barely able to get inside; rooms are NOT what one expects from the web nor the 'position' of the hotel; small, old furnishings; the surroundings and the courtyard of the theatre are totally beautiful, and the view from my window was also super but this place needs some modernising; the night receptionist was rude and unpleasant to the extent of blaming me in an aggressive tone for his mistake of giving me the wrong key.....his rudeness was the deciding factor in my moving to another hotel and not continuing here
Wasn't impressed! Hotel is listed as a 4 star but it was nowhere near that! The room was very basic with very dated furniture. It was relatively clean but did have a funny smell at times, which is probably why the window was wide open when we got there. (It was -3c outside and the radiators were all off) The worst thing though was the blind that didn't work properly on the main window so even when closed it was still light! Oh I say that was the worst but the double mattress with a nice brown stain on it that sat on the stairs for the 3 days was pretty appalling. The staff were friendly enough, especially the old man who was there in the evenings, he was great. We didn't have food here so can't comment on that!
Well to start off with the breakfast in the morning isn't worth touching and the rooms are as basic as they come! But on the brighter side there is a Hungarian brothel on the 5th floor to make up for it
we went to the hotel first day and were shocked as the pics we saw in the internet were different from the actual place. not clean and very old . the only good thing about the hotel was the location ( walking. distacnce to city centre ) but i wouldnt stay there again if i revisit the city
This hotel has only good location. Very low quality, not value at all for the money. NO air condition in the rooms so reconsider if you go there in summer period. You cant sleep at nights because of the hot. Standard breakfast
I was in this hotel from 26h Aug 2016 for 3 nights with my wife and 3 years kid. We struggled to get sleep due the smoking smell. Though this is rated as 4 star hotel no where it appears it has that rate and it looks like a budget 2 start hotel. The reception chap is helpful in guiding us for the late hours milk for my kid but staying is not recommended if you are non-smoker.
Excellent clean and tidy hotel situated very close to Karlsplatz. Excllenet nice breakfast but one negative point is a lack of air-condition in the room. Summer nights in Munich are hot and it was quite difficult to sleep in such a heat.
We stayed for 7 nights at this hotel. The area is secure but a bit blighted. Both receptionists (Mr Zacharias and the younger one with the beard) were very helpful and willing to answer to whatever questions we had. One-day trips can be booked at the reception (bus transfer to the point of departure is available). The rooms were comfortable and they were cleaned daily. Breakfast was delicious and coffee was good. The building is a Art-Nouveau gem, housing the Deutsches Theater. Hbf and Ubahn stations (Hbf and Karlsplatz Stachus) were a 5 minute walk. Close to the hotel are a MacDonalds and an Aldi supermarket.
the hotel itself is in a convenient location, it's a five minute walk from the main train station. it's clean and tidy and the room is tidied daily however small luxuries would make it a more please experience such as free toiletries or a kettle in the room. the electricity in the room was cut out twice during our three night stay- and so I was left without a phone one day as it did not charge overnight. I was also disappointed in the barman- he did not know what rum was despite having a selection of different rums on the menu? overall, good for a short stay but would not want to spend much time in the room
