Perfect! We stayed here in August, and everything was good! The room was very light and clean, everything was in order and there was plenty of space. We loved it!! Hotel recommended!! I will come back!!
I requested one king bed and I found two separate beds. The bathroom was definitely small with a bath/shower. Incredibly, the parking is not free and considering the lowest price of the classic room this is quite strange, they should offer it for free with the idea first arrived first served. However, for just one night you can find places in Effnerstrasse. Amenities in the room were "normal". The radiatori emitted a very noisy sound of "water" during all the night. I did not try the breakfast.
Hotel Rooms: for the price perfectly equipped. Reception: very effective and friendly Two elevators Room: lighting is good for working as well as for cozy moments, desk ideal for business people, premium wifi at a price, normal wifi is slow, hooks in the bathroom!, fridge is active but empty ( good to store foods), coffee//thee maker (powder) available, in general: very comfortable room in lieu of its price Restaurant: it is not a real restaurant but a "stūberl" a genuine bavarian style kind of braaserie. But the food is excellent as well as the service Take home: pricewise a great hotel and a great place to have dinner close to one's room
The hotel rooms are tidy and comes with all the essentials. It is located very close to the English garden. You can either walk to the garden (may take 20 min) or take a bus. The bus stop is very close to the hotel (may be 200m) and makes the commute to all parts of Munich very convenient. There is also a petrol station with a small super market right next to the hotel. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and welcoming. We did not dine at the hotel. So, cannot comment on that. The best part was that the rooms that we stayed in were connected from inside via two doors that could be opened from each room. The kids loved the idea and were thrilled to run around between two rooms. It became a huge family room. The hotel allows the guests to order food from outside. This was amazing as we ordered pizzas from Domino's for dinner and ate in our rooms. This saved us the trouble of going out in the night after a tiresome day.
Room was supposed to be deluxe but was very basic, however we were comfortable. The shower in the bathroom covered the whole room in water. Also the cleaners left the shower facing the wall on the jet setting so on the first occasion we didn't realise this had been done so when I turned it on was absolutely soaked before getting in the shower! Restaurant was an experience in itself. We ate here a few times as we were working at the Drinktec trade show so it was easy option after a very long working day. One night I asked for a baked potatoe and they had run out of potatoes. Then the following night we asked for coffee and they had no coffee - bizarre. Thank goodness we found the Italian restaurant nearby (Ristorante Pizzeria IL Galeone) as this was excellent. A lot of reviews mention how good the breakfast is, not sure where these people have stayed before but we thought the breakfast was poor and expensive for what it was. On checkout we asked for directions to the U Bahn and we were given incorrect directions, maybe it was the translation.
We stayed here for 3 nights, people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly, installations were ok, nothing fancy and nothing bad, its a few minutes walk from the u-bahn. Found the rates a bit expensive for the quality but it was Oktoberfest season, no breakfast included, i didnt really like the location and my only sweatshirt went missing, not sure if it was mistaken by a towel or if it was stolen by staff, either way I don't think I would come back.
We stayed on the 7th floor during both of our visits to München during July. The rooms were clean and quiet. We found everything we needed. In both cases we had a shower over bath with a glass screen which could be a bit bigger for a larger person to avoid splashing. All over we had a very good experience staying at this hotel. Each time we approached the reception area people were very friendly and helpful. We asked to have one of our suitcases stored until our return (2 weeks later) which was no problem at all. The breakfast ticked all the boxes and more. Everything was super fresh and the staff constantly refilled. There was jam, cold meats, cheese, smoked fish, yogurts, fruits, a large variety of bread rolls and bread, pastries, cereals, mueslis and a section for a cooked breakfast. People were very friendly and attentive to clear used plates and glasses. We give this hotel a thumbs up for the breakfast and friendliness. We used as well the restaurant one night which has typical local food. The portions were well sized to fill the hungry tummy and again we were not disappointed. The waitress was extremely friendly and had the biggest smile on her face. Yes, the hotel is not in the centre but I guess this reflects in the room rates. München has an extremely good public transport system which we used to get around. Trains and busses come every 2- 5 minutes and connections are no problem. We made it to the city centre in 15 minutes.
I want to describe the situation I had. I came in this hotel for a business trip, for more than 10 nights. When I arrived first day, I saw the room clean, but old, with visible signs in the bathroom on the bath tub. I didn't pay too much attention. It was important for me the rooms to be cleaned up and so on... When I came back the next day after work, I saw that in my fridge it wasn't any bottle of water. More than that, the bottle that I put into the recycle bin (the first day), was put again on the table. Hey guys, what are you doing there??? When I had a look in bathroom, I was wondering that they didn't supply all these bath staffs: body lotion, shampoo, conditioner (these small red tubes that were "on my first day there"). I skipped this situation about 4-5 days, until I went to reception and I asked them about these incommodities. His answer was: we give water for free only first day. About the bath suppliers, the reception guys asked the housekeeping guys to do that. When I turned back in the afternoon, I encountered the same situation in the bath: nothing changed. I made the conclusion that the provided service is done only "for first day". And the rooms price is really overmuch. I won't recommend this hotel to my colleagues or anybody else. I will try to avoid it for my next trips to Munich. This hotel has only 2 good things I noticed: the breakfast in the morning (more or less) and the second is the possibility to have bikes for a evening ride. Sorry guys from the Hotel, but you have to change the things, if you want to have more clients in the future...
The staff in this pleasant hotel are very efficient, friendly and good at making guests feel welcome. Our room was quiet clean and the beds comfortable. We started the day with a good breakfast. For the city centre it would be best to have a car.
I booked a room from booking.com, we were given a room that didn't look like the photos from booking.com, what I mean, wasn't a new modern room, it was an old one. Beside that, the staff from the reception were cold and barely wanted to talk to us, I had to ask for everything, for example, for renting a bike, I asked if it is free or I have to pay, they said that is free, I said I will take 2, they said ok, I went out, thinking that they are not looked or something, I had to go back and ask again for the keys, they did not give an extra information at all. Good clean facilities tho'
