The hotel had supermarket next door plus the hotel is walkable to stephanplatz-marienplatz and bus is main tranportation from the hotel or if you like to walk just walk along the Isar river as nice walk to downtown
A nice hotel within easy reach of central Munich Staff were friendly and helpful and all spoke good English. A bit limited on lobby meeting areas for business but ok The breakfast room was good, light and airy and the food was very good with a wide selection of pastries, cakes and the breakfast fare, both hot and cold. Everything I had was fresh and tasty. The bar is limited and although the restaurant looked very good it was very expensive so I didn’t eat there. Room was large, very clean and comfortable and of a typical generic style for Germany. The bathroom was also good. A nice hotel but a bit soulless for some reason. There is a nice walk along the riverbank close by and good bus services within a couple of minutes walk. Would consider using again if in Munich.
Staying in Munich was a great trip and the hotel was awesome! If I needed anything, it was always taken care of. Information of area restaurants and going site seeing was easy and simple for anyone. O\Love it!
My colleagues and I arrived before the usual check in time after a long flight and were very grateful to be given a room immediately. Lovely friendly desk staff. The room was clean and well maintained. The in-room tablet instead of the usual information folder was a nice touch. Would like to have had a walk in shower as the bathtub was very high a difficult to get in an out of when you are short! A good variety for breakfast and efficient service. Decent wifi Was a little disappointed to not have room service available on a Sunday or Monday. It would have been helpful after a long day. Overall, if I'm back in Munich for work I will stay here again at it was pretty convenient and quiet.
The hotel is in a very cute residential area with the bus stop being right outside of the hotel so it very convenient. Rooms are nice and clean and the room service was very prompt. I even got a free upgrade which was great.
I stayed at this property for a few months when I first moved to Munich in 2015 and now, after relocating elsewhere, as was back in Munich, opted to stay back here. It’s a great property, located right next to the Isar River (great place to walk or run) and a large Rewe supermarket which allows you to buy whatever you need. The breakfast served in the morning is extensive but as my room had a small kitchenette and refrigerator, I could buy some food for when I got peckish. The service from the staff is very good – Ozan is a particular favourite (very helpful and kind) but the others too are all very supportive. What would I change about the hotel ? It’s a bit too far from the U-bahn station but that’s not a problem as it is well connected by buses 132 and 58. And there is a surfeit of pictures of Kaiserin Elisabeth (Sissy) of Austria and her family but then again, the hotel is named after her. So, really nothing much to change … I return to Munich in 2 weeks and will be staying here again.
a very nice hotel, with large rooms, quiet and clean; excellent sleeping conditions; excellent breakfast, many choices of good food; the hotel is in a good location, near the Isar, ideal for walking and relaxing; a little too far from Marienplatz and only connection is a bus. A Rewe is adiacent.
Really enjoyed this hotel. It's located in a pretty and convenient location next to the river. The room was clean and had lots of useful little amenities. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE but a bit pricey, so as an alternative you could just go to the supermarket next door. I found the room to be a little hot and the mattress could have been padded more firmly, but otherwise a great stay and I would definitely come back in the future.
I returned to this place for a couple times now - for good reasons as you can guess. The rooms were always perfectly clean, generous and not less important very quiet. The rates are more than just fair, always included breakfast which is nice and even if it is more on a simple side it still offers all the choices. I would also guess that the central location next to the river Isar turns out perfect for just any reason that brings you to Munich - business or leisure. Arriving at any hotel around the world you probably consider friendly staff and good service as self-evident... sadly it becomes quite rare. Not in this place tho - that is for sure!!! Everybody seems well trained and were very polite and helpful at any time. I recommend that you give it a shot and enjoy your time in Munich.
Great long term stay hotel right next to the beautiful Isar River (a great place to go for a walk). It's right next to a grocery store, so shopping is extremely convenient (the grocery store is closed on Sundays). The staff were helpful and friendly. Very nice sauna and a small gym as well. The closest ubahn (Goetheplatz) is about 1 kilometer away and the area is full good restaurants. Nearby restaurants are nice as
- Close to Asamkirche and Deutsches Museum
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Onsite dining
- 24-hour health club
