Clean rooms, very comfortable beds, centrally located to most tourist sites.

The staff were very friendly & helpful which we found most Montreal folks to be. They go out of their way to be helpful & friendly. Our room was clean but still an older hotel with lots of 'miles on it.' The a/c was a noisy small window unit. The bed was quite good. One bottled water is furnished on your arrival date & from then on $1.00 each which is not what their room amenites section says.

Great hotel! Very clean room and excellent customer service at all times.

Room was large with couch and bathroom was newly renovated. Very clean and staff friendly. Lost points because the bed was a little too firm. Location very good near many restaurants, metro and the airport bus stop.

great hotel close to Old port Montreal. Walking distance to everywhere.

It's a smaller and simpler hotel but it provides all what is required and it's at a very good location. It's close to the main subway/metro station that brings you to everywhere in Montreal. It's also close/walking to old montreal, china town, theaters, la vitrine etc. Can recommend it.

Hotel is next to a parking lot so that's a big plus in Montreal which is a pain for parking. Many other hotels you have to walk very far (I wouldnt think it's safe walking late blocks away from parking to your hotel). We took a room with a jacuzzi and I liked it. Comfortable and clean. They have a basement with a pool table and microwave if you need somewhere to hang. I would stay here again and recommend. We also walked from here to old montreal so the location is good.

Hotel was in a great location, clean & served our needs well. Room just has a small fridge & no breakfast, but that was ok because there are plenty of places around to get breakfast. Would return there again & highly recommend it. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay, not the Ritz, then this is your place.

The first thing I must advise for first timers to Montreal is park your car and use the Metro this hotel had assigned spaces in an underground lot, only a 1/2 block away. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the area, which helped when asking for locations of services. My wife and I felt very safe walking during the evening time and availed our selves every night as a side note to our walking experience, the hotel is in the middle of a very large university and the evening activities are bountiful, if you enjoy watching youth have a good time. The hotel had all the necessary amenities to make the stay relaxing, only the room are small and very clean, and you needed to look in corners spaces. I would return to St. Denis the next time we would visit Montreal or Quebec City. Thank you, St Denis Staff

I've stayed at the St-Denis several times over the past few years. It's clean, it's quaint, and it's cheap. I've already booked my next stay there. And don't forget to go to the awesome basement while you're there!

The hotel is centrally located in a beautiful location. Best location if your a foody. Its also a quick walk to old Montreal.

Stayed in Summer 2014. Hotel was clean, location is good and parking is safe and easy

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our first visit to Montreal for a three night weekend getaway. The hotel was perfect. Great location (one block from the metro and walking distance to old town), friendly staff and very clean rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel for a weekend!

For our brief stop in Montreal, this hotel was ideal, convenient for walking to Old Town, and comfortable with very helpful front desk staff and housekeeper.

The hotel is clean, centrally located; if you don't have a car, you can still walk to a lot of places. Parking is $19/day in a covered garage behind the hotel. Lots of small places to eat. Staff speak English. Free WiFi with a good signal and speed. Recommend for budget conscious travelers.

Even though my husband and I only spent one night at this hotel, we really liked it. Clean, staff was nice also. Great location, walking distance from food, parks, bars, etc. I'd definitely stay there again :)

I don't require very much when it comes to a hotel. All I need is easy accessibility from the airport, good access to public transit, clean bedrooms, and good showers. All of the above were great at Hotel St. Denis, and for an excellent low price. From Montreal airport, the 747 airport flyer bus will drop you off just 1 block from the hotel. The hotel's around the corner from the Berri-UQAM subway stop, which serves several lines. It's also a very easy walk to great sightseeing/dining spots like Quartier Latin, Quartier des Spectacles, and the Gay Village. The bedroom was nice, clean, and spacious. And the receptionist was very nice and helpful. I'll definitely try to stay at Hotel St. Denis again whenever I get to return to Montreal.

Great location, one block to Metro, one stop to Racetrack. The staff was helpful. Though a barebones hotel, for those who are more interested being out and about, this is perfect.

A very simple and clean hotel in a great location at a good price. The staff were very helpful and the UQAM Berri Metro station is nearby. There are many good restaurants and nightclubs in the area. A very good value.

Loved the location and the staff was very helpful and nice!
