This newly converted hotel has beautiful upgrades and fantastic service. We enjoyed our suite and the staff were always accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel to others and I will certainly be going back whenever my travels bring me to Montreal. Entrance to the Hotel is bit difficult, perhaps some signage on the off ramp from the Highway would be a good idea.
Wow! This place looks amazing! The suites are spacious and there are no longer any carpets! They have microwaves, a mini-fridge and a sink. There are cupboards (no utensils but you can ask the Front Desk for them) and coffee maker. The suite also has a desk to work on, a sofa bed and 2 big flat screen TV's. You should check out their Facebook Page at Embassy Suites by Hilton Montreal Airport for pictures. Also, they have a chef on hand to cook your breakfast and the bar is open. My stay included 2 drinks during their Happy Hour. If you are a Hilton Honors member, you would appreciate the value.
I wish I would have read reviews before I booked this hotel. My confirmed reservation was for a suite with a double bed and sleep sofa - oh, and a fitness room and breakfast. 1 week before our stay I get a phone call that our room is not available because the renovation wasn't complete. NOTHING about the whole hotel being a construction zone. Too late for me to find anything else. Front desk person wanted to charge me extra for my daughters to stay - ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? the hotel should be closed. I will never stay there again and will recommend you don't stay there either. Our room smelled like paint. The "new" bed was like sleeping on a slab. The cot and sleep sofa were jokes. Can't believe I had to stay there 2 nights. IT WAS AWFUL.
The suite is great for families, there was a king-size bed in an enclosed bedroom, small kitchenette and living area with a pull-out couch and they brought in a twin cot that fit without problem in the living area, and a bathroom with a large shower. The rooms are top to bottom brand-new. I really like that instead of carpets, they have installed laminate/ hardwood throughout, which seems much more hygienic. We stayed on a Friday night and Saturday night, and did not hear the construction (if any occurred) at all. It was a great value to stay there during the construction period, I understand the price will increase quite a bit in a month. They even provided grab n go breakfast bags that contained a couple of muffins and a juice box. Everyone from the front desk personnel to the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel will be even better when construction is complete.
They are in the process of upgrading this hotel. I had the opportunity to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms. They did a great job - very fresh and modern. No more bathtubs. Great location for meetings in Dorval and Kirkland.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and it certainly is not getting any better… It is getting worse. While I was there there was a shutdown of the water supply without any advance notice. It just happened that when I turned on the water it was dark brown. I called the front desk and was told to run the water for a while and it would clear up. Apart from that, the heating system is so terribly noisy that it will either keep you awake or wake you up once you are asleep. All in all not a great value for the money.
We stayed here for 3 nights. Not by our choosing but assigned hotel as in Montreal for a national sport event. Hotel is supposed to have a restaurant which it does but only open for breakfast during their renovation, upon check in they gave us a coupon for $10.00 off a restaurant a few miles away because their restaurant is not open, There are two of us in our room and we get one coupon, and for a restaurant not within walking distance?!? Only one elevator is in use most of the day and it is extremely slow, They have an area in lobby blocked off with caution tape we had to go around....We took stairs most of the time, We could hear the hammers start at 7 am every day!! Loud banging, as I write this we are packing up to check out, it sounds like a drill is coming through our ceiling. They are building beds I think above us😳 There is no deduction in room rate to account for all this! Awful, would never stay here again, and I’m sure once renovations are finished it will be okay, but they should never have been open right now!!
This hotel is located near airport, away from city noise or traffic. The rooms are quiet big and luxury. Hotel staff is also helpful. We enjoyed 2 night stay here. The tariff is also quiet reasonable.
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights starting on Sept. 28 and we found the lady on the front desk not friendly at all. We've stayed here before, but we have noticed recently that the quality of the rooms have deteriorated. The carpets need to be cleaned and the rooms have a musty smell and we found the beds to be very uncomfortable. We have stayed at other choice hotels and when we visit the area again, we will be staying elsewhere!
On entry to room ,horrible smell, gym locker would describe smell. Many stains on carpet. Most importantly the bed was terrible.Very hard, many lumps, completely sagged to the middle.Horrible sleep. When we mentioned this to front desk their response was well, we are doing renovations soon and replacing beds, no offer of any compensation at all.We as paying customers should have this info before checking in.Also noticed a lot of conflict between staff.Very expensive for a quality inn,$470.00 for 2 nights.
