Ok in a pinch to stay. Could use updating in rooms.

the room was not cleaned right there was a lot of stuff left from the previous people, I have stayed at worse though. You can expect to get what you pay for. I would stay again but not more than one night. Breakfast looked decent though.

Breakfast place is so tiny. bith serving and dining area are not convinient at all

I'll start with the positives! It's a great location, and less expensive than some of the surrounding hotels. The breakfast was good, a little crowded in there, but good real food! It has a nice big hot tub and the people at the front desk were really nice! But the rooms don't look as nice as the online pictures! Nicer on the outside than it is on the inside. It was like staying in an old Motel 6, but if your not looking for anything fancy, than I was say it was an over all decent place!

I had to ask for room service and that was at 6:30pm. The rooms need upgrading because things were needing repair. Beds were terrible and the food wasn't good. There are no elevators and we were on the 3rd floor. No fridge so there were many trips to the ice machine on the 2nd floor. I wont be back to stay.

The hotel desk staff was excellent. The gal with whom we checked in was helpful and friendly. She seemed a bit overwhelmed and was trying to deal with multiple complaints about rooms not being cleaned when we arrived. Upon our arrival, I noted a group of 4 to 5 young ladies, whom seemingly were employed at the hotel, smkoing by an out building. Perhaps the source of her dilemma...She handled the complaints as efficiently and kindly as she could. She also offered us assistance with dining recommendations. I personally would not recommend the hotel for anyone with small children. The steps , if you find yourself staying on upper floors, are precarious at best. Elevator service is not available. The water for the sink and shower is very difficult if not impossible to regulate. The shower went, on a medium heat setting, from cold to scalding hot and back again during the duration of each shower. I would recommend drinking bottled water and utilizing for teeth brushing as the taste was a combination of salt and chemicals.

First of all, the receptionist was rude to the man before us, but super sweet to us when we checked in. Hot and cold. This theme repeated when we entered our cold room. It was a warm summer day, but not hot, so we turned up the heat and took showers for the wedding we were in town for. After fooling with the shower temp for about 10 minutes, I gave up. It seemed to have two settings: Searing flesh hot and ice cube cold. After getting into the shower it continued this fluctuation throughout my shower. Searing hot to ice cube. Back and forth without ever touching the knob. The water pressure would also fluctuate from reasonable to trickle. After the worst shower of my life I got out and proceeded to get ready for the wedding. The room was now hot. I was sweating brushing my hair. So I turned the AC on. Hot and Cold. If you don't mind the bipolar experience this is the hotel for you!

The hotel is in a great location. It is a comfortable affordable, no frills stay.

Not a bad hotel close to the water. For the price I would stay at it again

Our room's door had an air-leak located just under the joice of the dead bolt proceeding down to the floor. We felt we needed to stuff folded newspapers into that breach of the door to prevent the room from developing an excessive chill.

My wife and I got a fair (sale) price so its hard to troll hard on this hotel for our particular stay. Anyway, at check-in we were tersely warned that if we smoked (we are non-smokers,btw) that we would be charged an extra fee of $150. So, that evening we smelled smoke coming from outside our unit...two people were standing 6ft from our door chatting and smoking. I called the desk and someone came and admonished them. The next morning was the complimentary breakfast. The blueberry muffins were hard and stale; the orange juice tasted spoiled...and so did two apples from the fruit basket (had to toss them, we did not try others). The scrambled eggs were chunky...some chunks warm; other chunks cold. The waffle-maker functioned ok...did not try the dry cereal.

The room was a little outdated, the windows were stained so you couldn't see much out of them.

some of the reviews i read on this hotel were pretty bad, so i was expecting a bad stay at this hotel. because i was in this area for business, and the price was very reasonable i was very pleased with the staff and the room was very clean and made up every day i stayed which was three nights. I would stay here again when i am in the area. I guess some people are too picky when it comes to hotels.

This hotel was shabby and there were cobwebs in the room. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable.

We enjoyed our stay here. Clean room, clean surroundings. It's only a short drive to Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Good location with the beach across the street and 10 min. outside of downtown Monterey. Rooms are a bit small and could have been a bit cleaner

I did not feel welcomed when checking in. I asked for a AAA discount which they wouldn't honor only because I paid for it online. The room had a musky stale odor. The decor was outdated and boring. The room was very small with no amenities. The pillows were hard and thin. For $200 we did not even get a small frigerator. The walls were very thin. I could hear the soap drop in the shower next to us. I will never stay there again.

It was a room with basic amenities that met our needs.

The hotel was a little far from Monterey but right on the ocean. The hotel is past its prime but was comfortable. The staff was very helpful.

Crowded breakfast area Room is small and old staff was nice
