Very clean and tidy room, on the smaller side, very friendly check in and check out person, male maintenance (?) worker or cleaner went out of his way to be very rude to me which soured my experience of the place. No shampoo, no microwave or fridge. However towels, bedding were all new and clean. Interior courtyard was grimy with cigarette butts but they do have a separate pet area for pets which was nice to have. Love that it’s very pet friendly with no ridiculous pet fee and Or deposit

Yes, the room was 'neglected'. I was told that "we don't do housecleaning". But never collect/empty the trash? Really? Also the it took at least ten minutes to get any hot (or even warm) water. Do you think you're saving money on heating it when you have to run the water for 10 minutes to even be able to use it to shower or shave? Also, the closet bar is so low that women's garments just drag on the flower. I like Motel 6's ... I've stayed in them since the 1960s, but I wasn't impressed in my stay in Salinas.

The couple in the room next to our had their tv going the entire night on the first night of our stay. And on the following night some people out in the parking lot woke us up at 2 am with their loud music playing until 4:36 am. Needless to say we will not be going to that motel again.
