The receptionist was very unprofessional, lacked courtesy, and did not greet upon arrival. She mistakenly activated my room key card for only one day instead of the two days I had booked. When I approached her to correct the issue, she was rude and refused to acknowledge that it was her mistake, simply saying, “I don’t know how that happened.” She clearly needs training in customer service and basic etiquette. The rooms and facility is clean and well maintained.

Very safe and quiet spot. My room was clean but some maintenance should be done in the room, especially in the bathroom where water damage was apparent next to the bathtub on the wall. The room also had a stuffy smell upon first entering but opening the window made it better. Location is great!

Our stay at Comfort Inn Monterey was great! We arrived around 2:30 PM just to check on our reservation since I knew check-in time was at 3 PM. To my surprise, the receptionist told us our room was already ready, so we were able to check in early! The room was spacious, and everything was working well: the bathroom, fridge, microwave, AC, etc. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, and the hotel has a sauna, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was great too, a continental buffet with plenty of options. Another plus is the location: Old Fisherman’s Wharf, Lover’s Point, and the scenic 17-Mile Drive are all just about 15–20 minutes away. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay!
