I like the area of the premed is quiet and safe also the exelent service and the kindness of the staff

Clean. Large rooms. Nice linen. Got two rooms. One suite beneath breakfast area too noisy. Much too miserable. Handicapped room had great amenities.

My stay was several days in early Jan / cooler weather . The hotel is finishing up remodel construction & the room has new furniture ( firm seat cushions / mattresses etc ) but there were several other issues . Their incoming phone line usually auto answers & directs you to press O for the operator which responds with "that is an invalid option" then cycles back to the automated message . Also , they had trouble getting the check in computer to process . I was in the room across from the lobby & sound from activity in other areas clearly came thru. They had another quieter room but the microwave & fridge were missing . The spa area is covered but open on the outside wall so the space felt too chilly to use ( & the tub water itself seemed tepid rather like the shower water even on max hot ) . Interesting tho was that the sink tap water did get fully hot . apparently they are on different sources ? Also , the HVAC is still by the windows but the rooms don't have any circulating fan so it gets warm by the window but chilly where one sits to watch TV . The staff however was very nice & the breakfast with hot eggs plus the other routine carbs was convenient .

Hotel under renovation, but bareable. Ask for 3rd floor, it is a bit more quiet. They are doing the finishing touch so hopefully renovation will be done soon

Booked this hotel only for the hot tub!!! since it was indoors. Was supposed to get a king sized bed only to discover two queens instead. There was construction going on the entire time we stayed. After checking into hotel. My wife and I went to cannery row to eat at a restraunt. We ate fast Keeping in mind the hot tub closed at 10 and headed back to the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel decided to close the hot tub 25 mins before 10pm!!!! The rooms smelled like mildew there was noise upstairs from the workers at 8am. The only plus of this hotel was that it had a decent breakfast but, thats it. Horrible experience!!!!

dirty room, unfriendly staff, but location is good

We had great experience at Holiday Inn. The staff is friendly. The breakfast was nice with variety of options. Rooms sixe and cleanliness was perfect. It is worth the price we paid for.

Staff on check in/check out duty very helpful & friendly.

This is our go to hotel every time we plan our trip to Monterey. Nice and quite.

I was in town for family/vacation. My sister had a baby and my husband and I desperately needed a vacation. We stayed for about 10-days in Marina (near my sister) and would drive to attractions in the area. The hotel was in a nice location for us because it was in the middle of everything. Monterey was 20min south, San Jose about an hour 15min north, San Francisco was 2hrs northwest, and beautiful beaches and coastline all along Hwy 1 for about 2hrs south. One of my favorite beaches was Pfeiffer Beach which was about an hour south on Hwy1. So the hotel was conveniently located for activities of all sorts (among them Redwoods, ziplining, beaches, city-touring, etc). The hotel itself was comfortable. The room was cleaned well each day, I didn't feel the need to lock up my luggage, the hot tub is roomy and nice, and they had an gym facility (it was really small but at least they had one unlike other hotels in the area). Another plus was that it was located next to a Walmart so I could grab some supplies and snacks for the room, and my (absolutely necessary) wifi. The complimentary breakfast was not the best I'd ever had, but certainly far from the worst. They always had eggs and sausage (including turkey sausage), cereal, oatmeal, waffles, pancake machine, bagels, muffins, juices, and (my absolute favorite) cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls were awesome. All-in-all a pleasant experience.

We booked the hotel for a relatively cheap price in the Monterrey/Big Sur area, and got upgraded since the few days before X'mas were quite slow. Nice Jacuzzi pool after our 6 hours' hike at the Pinnacles National Park.

Quiet and clean, it has all you need for one night stay during a short trip. The breakfast is great, and the staff are all very nice.

Very friendly staff. The room was upgraded to a suite upon arrival. Very nice room. Noic breakfast, large clean jacuzzi. Highly recommend.

The room was very clean and specious. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Just two minutes drive from the beach.

A value hotel for the budget minded on vacation or business.
