Josh was outstanding. The whole staff actually is phenomenal, always helpful and smiling! Breakfast was awesome, and having a drink in the bar and talking to Michelle was a pleasant experience too. Will stay there again no question.
I stayed for three days just before a major holiday. The room was in a quiet location, which I appreciated. My room had some issues, such as the connectors for the electronics didn't work, the thermostat didn't work, and the bathroom sink drained very slowly. The bathtub/ shower combo did not have grab bars, which I would love to see them install in every room. I felt a bit unsteady getting in and out of the tub.The management (hopefully) will repair each. They don't clean daily, but if you stay 7 days, you will receive a cleaning. I needed extra towels, and I received them, as well as extra coffee. Breakfast (including hot foods) was included. I really loved the pool. There were plenty of pool towels, which I really liked. The water was just the right temperature, and I enjoyed an early morning dip daily. The location is really convenient to two restaurants which are within walking distance to the lodge. Walmart and Costco are both just up the road. Children and pets are welcome.
Upon arriving around 3pm, i was met with a very pleasant attendant. Great personality and cordial. Having stayed here before, the cleanliness was not as before. The morning after, i passed the desk attendant 3x's saying good morning to him NO RESPONSE, then asked for info, well recieved then out of the blue ALL OF THE PLATES IN KITCHEN FLEW TO THE FLOOR,,, i tried to assist the attendant, he was rude and offensive once again, obviously dusturbed by the broken plates,, he was upset and standoffish,,, he was possibly overwhelmed at life or things on his mind, who knows,,, i was only offering a hand. Then as passing the desk, something flew across the room, with NO ONE AROUND,,, this is obviously sacred ground. Will i stay again, unsure, it does have a beautiful ambiance tho!
decor is outdoorsy and charming. we have been choosing here off and on over last 7yrs. rooms are comfortable by no means spotless, but clean in general. stairwells and elevators could use a little extra attention. location is good easy access to hwy next door to machine shed and thunder bay for eating. other than the 2 false fire alarms in the middle of the night our stay was still a pleasent one.
Our overall stay was fine. The pool was open. The breakfast had enough grab and go choices. The cleanliness here could be stepped up a notch for sure. The water fountains were gross. The drain in our bathtub did not work, once the kids took a shower the bathtub was full, it took all night for it to drain. Great location, but the hotel is a little tired.
The business center (a computer and a printer) were out and there was no effort to fix it even though I was here for seven days. No housekeeping so the trash accumulated in the room. No replenishment of coffee bar. The breakfast was just brown bag full of a bar or pop tart and a fruit. So when they say breakfast included, they really mean a granola bar and fruit. Most of the front desk staff was good except one lady who was brisk and unapologetic and made me feel that I was being a pain when I asked when the computer/printer would be fixed. Lastly, none of the ice machines worked on three floors. The lodge is beautifully decorated and the room was a comfortable size. But the service was terrible. Maybe it's the coronavirus effect but it was a bad experience.
Breakfast wasn’t to my standards ".,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Wildwood is in need of an update. For the price, the room was low quality with outdated shower, bathroom, and climate control.
Best thing is location easy access, next to machine shed
Only stay one night middle of the week got in late but check in was quick room was spacious and clean and quiet. Have stayed here many times before like the location. Close to dining and breakfast, only had one room over last 5 years of that wasn’t as nice as rest but just needed a little updating overall nice place to stay
