The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, updated, and clean. It is located centrally in downtown. Great all around experience.
The woman in the morning/during the day at the front desk is absolutely awesome. Her service and kindness were top notch. The gentleman (and I use the term loosely) that was there at night was the exact opposite. He seemed lime he didn't want to be there and was rude and gave poor service. I hope he was just having a bad night. I have stayed several times at tis hotel and never had an issue with the staff until the overnight gentleman now. I will definitely stay again though. The size of the rooms are huge and comfortable and the hotel is kept in great condition.
All staff noticeably went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable -- though I asked for little.
Great easy get away for the family. Great roomy suite with kitchen for good price. Only negative, was included breakfast was not that good.
The hotel is wonderfully located, but the bathroom was not cleaned very well between days of stay. Also, the breakfast was very limited and out of most foods by the time we got to breakfast.
My adult children and I were in town in December to celebrate my niece's birthday. We decided to stay at the Residence Inn because it was within walking distance to the Third Ward. The room we stayed in was beautiful. It had high ceilings, nicely furnished and was quite large. The beds were very comfortable. One of the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel location was very convenient and comfortable. The only problem we had is that they double charged us. When we brought it to their attention, they corrected it right away.
Close to many downtown attractions. Walking distance to the Pabst theater where we went to see a show. High ceiling spacious studio with full kitchen.
Check in was smooth. Lady was knowledgeable of the area. Room was very nice. Great setup. Wish there was access to the balcony
The hotel is good and clean. Best is its location and good view rooms. All restaurants are close by. My 20 months baby enjoyed the view from the room a lot.
Can't beat the location. Walked to the Milwaukee Summerfest grounds and avoided parking and traffic. Near restaurants, lakefront, shopping. What more could you ask for.
had a group of 10 people we easily fit into the 2 bedroom suite, huge rooms and great price, walking distance to old world third and water street
The hotel was in a great spot, right on the river. We had to have our keys re-keyed four times over the three days because they only worked a bit and then stopped. Staff told me it was probably caused by the elements and "it happens". Housekeeping service is terrible. They came and put our coffee pot in the dishwasher, but didn't put the dishes in it from around the suite. They didn't even make up the sofa bed where my kids slept. The sheets had makeup on the pillow cases and were not changed. We got towels, but the left the tissue box empty and no toilet paper on the roll, and didn't give more shampoo. If my coffee pot wouldn't have been put in the dishwasher, i wouldn't have known they came. The next day, we went to the zoo and got home about 4pm, and housekeeping hadn't been there at all! I called down and they said they were behind. I made my own bed, and washed my own dishes - I didn't feel like I was on vacation. Friday we enjoyed breakfast. It was very good. On Saturday, it was so crowded, we couldn't get a seat, so we went out for breakfast. I enjoyed having the 2 room suite, it gave us lots of space, but this hotel does lack amenities and service. (except for Mia at the front desk - she had terrific service). If you are looking for space, this is a great place, and in a great location. You can walk to the public market in a few minutes!
We got this room for a concert we were going to at the Riverside Theater across the street. Can't beat having your hotel right across from your destination. But the noise from the busy street intersection made sleeping nearly impossible. The room was nice, but the bed sheets had stains on them, which isn't super appealing. All in all it was a decent experience and a good price. I wouldn't sleep in another room on that side of the street though.
From the moment I got there, the service was good. I was very well received. Whenever I needed anything it was handled without issue from key cards, to towels, to toilet paper. The room service was very good and the ladies that came by were both sweet and polite, and helped to liven up my trip even more so. The rooms were excellent, well furnished with couch, HDTV, dishwasher, utensils, and more. The hotel even had quick, reliable, and best of all free Wi-Fi. There was dinner served as part of a social hour 3 nights a week and a full spread breakfast every morning, not just pastries and muffins. There was 24hr access gym as well. The only thing that I was partially bothered by was the charge to park in their underground parking garage, but it was well worth it since was heated and incredibly useful when you drive out into a fresh snow with no trace of snow, salt, or frost on the car. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel and if I return to Milwaukee I will be staying here again.
This all-suites hotel is located on the downtown Riverwalk which is a pleasant place to be and very convenient for walking to the shops/restaurants in the third ward and to various theaters. The room was VERY large and comfortable. Parking is under the hotel and costs $17/day, but is worth it, with in/out privileges. There is a hot buffet breakfast which was not excellent food, but plentiful and fine. The queen bed was very comfortable, a new pillowtop style and the sofabed was adequate for our son. We should have asked for extra blankets. Wifi was free and useable. Nothing fancy here but a good value for the location.
We stayed at the Residence Inn for a weekend and enjoyed our visit. It was attached to a mall (many stores empty, but enough there to keep us busy), so we didn't have to walk outside in the cold. Good breakfast as well, included in our price. Nice architecture around the windows in the rooms and vaulted ceilings. You'll pay for parking anywhere in downtown Milwaukee, so that's not unexpected. We would stay here again. Only wish they had a restaurant, but there are several very close by.
My girlfriend and I were in Milwaukee to see the Brian Setzer Orchestra and we couldn't have been happier about a suite for the price of a regular hotel room. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was quite good. It was a rainy weekend but being right downtown with an apartment size room gave us all the options we needed. The heated underground parking was very secure and very worth the additional $17 per day. We will be back!
Everything was wonderful! We checked in and Andi, front desk clerk, upgraded us to a one bedroom suite overlooking the river. It was wonderful, we will never stay anywhere else as long as our daughter remains in milwaukee.
Our room was spacious and had more than we needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great; right on the Riverwalk and close to The Safe House and Mo's Irish Pub.
