Clean and friendly staff. Our family will very likely return.

Friendly staff arranged an early check-in so we could park and walk to nearby convention at WI Center. Room was clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable with lots of pillows. Quiet with no issues at all. We were a bit bummed when we found that the pool and spa were closed for routine repairs but no big deal. Decent breakfast but I think I'll skip the turkey sausage next time. Very well located; across from Shops of Grand Avenue Mall. Walked around the corner to the Rock Bottom Brewery for a tasty dinner and beer. Looking forward to going back when its not in the middle of a blizzard and we can enjoy the outdoor riverfront walk.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee Downtown does not offer rollaway beds at all. This was an unfortunate surprise for us, as we now had a child who slept on couch cushions on the floor. They tried to explain this was due to a maximum number of people per room - but we had 3 adults and one child, and the room was rated for 4 people. But, the child belonged to the couple and the other adult was not comfortable sleeping on the pull out couch with the child, which was why we wanted the rollaway bed. Rollaway beds don't exist at this hotel, despite what it says on the website. In addition, the Orbitz credit card was declined (I'd already paid in full to Orbitz), and they put the full charge on my credit card that day and also the full charge on the next day. I am glad that I had that much room on my credit card and wasn't needing it for the trip. They did straighten it out the evening of the second day, but I did waste over an hour standing at the front desk arguing with them that it was not my fault that Orbitz could not update their own credit cards. And the "pending" charges weren't dropped for 3 days after that. The staff themselves were friendly and helpful, as much as they could be, as they were stuck on hold with the main office. But, Not my idea of a fun trip.

I would recommend this hotel. It was a quick walk to the Wisconsin center. The hot tub jets didn't work, but the pool and hot tub were functional and ok. The work out space was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful (small PC issue when I was checking in but they were helpful and quick to figure out how to get us in). The breakfast is good and rotated some variety. All of us found something we liked everyday. The hot water and coffee all day long was helpful for us. The parking was easy to use and get to from the hotel.

Need work on AC in the guest rooms. Breakfast was above standard breakfast fare

We stayed here on a last minute get away. It is a great location to walk to the art museum, market, restaurants etc. $14 overnight garage covered parking in attached building is a plus. The pool and hot tub are a bonus as well. Others seemed to enjoy the buffet but I'm pretty picky about what I eat so it was nice to be able to walk to nearby restaurants. Was pricier this stay over Labor Day than last time my daughter and I did a last minute overnight via the bus from Madison in the middle of winter.

I was only in town for one night, but I was very content with my stay. The staff was courteous and polite, the room was clean, and everything worked. I have no complaints.

Great location for the conference I was attending at City Center; also close to the Milwaukee Art Museum. Excellent breakfast spread for the value. Friendly, welcoming desk staff.

We stayed at the Hampton inn suites for the safe in sound festival it was very nice

The room was clean and everything was walk-able. Breakfast was great also.

This hotel seems to have just been remodeled and as such suffered from a hasty reopening, it seems. Air conditioning was not working on a large part of the hotel, as I have heard (and on our floor as well). Breakfast is pretty good, included in the price, but the team needs a little more experience, as items would run out (eggs, bacon, bread) and it would take a while to be replenished, causing lines. The rooms are decent sized, the location is amazing and the remodeling went well. A couple weeks/months down the road and I would give it 4 stars.

There was no hot water. I had to go to a special room to shower. The pool was closed indefinitely. The whole hotel was run down and beat up. I will never stay at a Hampton Inn again.

Hotel was under construction and a set of elevators was out of service. I have stayed here a few times but was a little disappointed that the rooms seemed dated. Front desk service was good and I like the cookies in the evening and free local papers. Also a plus is the free wi-fi. At other Hilton properties Wi-Fi is an additional charge.

I stayed here during a recent work trip. For some reason, nearly all of the downtown hotels were booked this weekend. The rate was quite high for a three star (almost $200/night), but the hotel and room were nice and centrally located. I'd be more enthusiastic about it if it were a 4-star hotel or substantially cheaper. That said, it did have some nice amenities, like tea and coffee in the lobby and free breakfast.

Small rooms, small elevator, and employees were a bit rude.

I really enjoyed myself the location was fantastic because we was close to everything we wanted to do. The staff was very helpful n friendly breakfast was a good variety.

Speedy checkin, very clean, bed was comfortable, the room alittle too small, but other than that it was all good.

Excellent location in downtown Milwaukee, you can pay $13.50/day for unlimited in/out from their parking garage which connects to the hotel - used this and was very nice. Lobby area was clean/modern, didn't use the continental breakfast, but it was offered and looked decent enough. Stayed for a weekend getaway, did not spend a lot of time in the room, but it was clean and in good working order except a couple things - drain in one sink didn't work & drain in tub was sloooooow. We had a handicapped room so we had 2 sinks so the one clog wasn't a huge deal, but annoying nonetheless. We didn't call the front desk to have them fix, wasn't worth the time since we had 2 sinks. Tub was pretty bad, but didn't call about this either, would drain in about 5 mins after shower was over. Handicapped room had sitting area with couch/chairs/TV, but we never used this. King sized bed was nice, one of the better mattresses I've had in a hotel, also had a desk, lamp, chair, good sized flat panel TV, room kept cool/warm depending on need. Elevators worked well and was a quiet stay. It's a very good basic room with all the common amenities and a fairly modern appeal; doesn't look brand new, older stuff that has been renovated. Nothing much negative to say, it's not the Ritz, but more than adequate in every area (just get the drains working better), would stay here again.

Within walking distance to Summerfest Grounds. Walked for miles visiting quaint downtown Milwaukee shops. Air Conditioner failed 1st night in 90+ degree weather, several beetle type bugs in room. Toilet plugged.

The hotel staff was outstanding.Breakfast room seating very limited but fresh food was brought out as needed, a long bench along the room added to the seating. 24 hour coffee a big plus along with tea for my daughter. Room was on the small side but suited our needs for the weekend. The veiw of the closed down building outside our window was covered by the drapes. Location was nice a varity of activities and resturants were with in walking distance. While I didn't like paying for parking it did include unlimited in and out privlages.

We are sorry to hear that your recent visit was not as enjoyable as it could have been. We are looking into the information that is posted on Orbitz so it can be corrected. While we do not have rollaway beds, we do have suites that provide two beds in the bedroom area and a sofa sleeper.
