I did a one night stay at this hotel while in the area. The check in experience was absolutely professional and efficient. The associate greeted me as per IHG protocol thanking me as an IHG Rewards member and welcoming me to the hotel. The hotel is current undergoing some renovation and information is posted everywhere to inform guests. The WiFi was a bit spotty, but this is one of the things being upgrading during the renovation. The breakfast area is clean and staff with friendly and courteous staff. During the stay I did notice some ants crawling around the door and washroom. I fired off an email and received a call from the GM of the hotel the following day. Great follow up and service recovery.
Unfortunately this property is undergoing a renovation. We had the unlucky experience of being put in one of the unrenovated rooms, gosh it was tired. There was wallpaper peeling in the bathroom, where we also encountered some kind of small slug crawling on the floor. It was the only bug seen that evening, but just made the whole thing a bit uncomfortable. On the plus side, the front desk staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was only fair.
Very clean and quiet. Comfortable beds and a great full breakfast . Self serve but help in the dinning room . Lovely lady and she keeps the place spotless. All staff friendly . On top of the 401 and close to restaurants .
All in all, I like most Holiday Inns, I find the experiance a decent one. However, this stay, I learned a valuable lesson. If you have tests to take (like I did all day on-line) the management will likely not care enough to post a sign to warn you when they will be testing smoke alarms which is an extremely irritating all day process. Plan to get out and be away all day. So ask when you check in if this will be a problem for you! My stay was mid Nov 2016 so a year from now I bet they will be back. I found the bed and pillows very nice but I did notice in room 211 that the bathroom ceiling is showing water damage and there is most likely mold and bugs up above the drywall. When I got up I saw a big centipede scurrying across the floor in the bathroom, so I am pretty sure there is a bunch more than decided to stay hidden and you know about the other bugs that like most moldy conditions I'm sure. The WiFi is an absolute disaster. One of the worst I have yet dealt with. I had to take out my company WiFi dongle to connect which really bugged me considering your paying for this service in your room fee in one way or another. The breakfast was pretty just meh.
Worst internet experience I've had since 1996 - I'm posting this through my phone's hotspot - not 2017 - they're apologizing because there's lots of construction but you can't have a hotel nowadays without internet
Not your typical Holiday Inn quality. This is an independently owned franchised property and unfortunately it shows in the quality. You only get one chance to Make a good first impression. Arrived at night when it was dark. Entrance and parking lots are poorly lit. The carpet behind the from desk is disgustingly dirty and the check in counter shows wear under the computer keyboard which is visible to the guests standing at the counter. The room and Bathroom overall were Clean but the bed Linen's are pilling and showing wear Nice Choice Of two firm and two soft Pillows per bed. Room well equipped with a fridge and microwave Nice 42 inch LED LG flat screen. Too bad all channels available are analogue. Wifi like all other reviews indicate sucks. Might as well use your Own smartphone as your personal hot spot as its slow as Molasses. Rooms are starting show their age. Furniture and case goods are pretty scuffed up, Lamp shades are cracked and wall paper is peeling in the bathroom. The PTEC HVAC unit by the window is pretty marked up, the knobs for Controls are missing leading one to assume the Controls are operated by the wall mounted thermostat. Overall cleanliness was average with some signs of splashed beverages on the sides of the headboard and wall paper. Complimentary breakfast was available from 7am -10am. Too bad we had to hit to road at 6am.
Wifi is so weak and impossible to get to work. My room floor wasn't vacuumed. Shower sprays everywhere and drain is clogged. One lamp in the room and it the bulb was blown. (I notified front desk and got a replacement bulb) I hate to be a bother but I did complain about the lamp. I booked a king bed but got 2 queens because they were "overbooked". Room smelled like stall cigars. Breakfast room attendant is always vacuuming the floors nearby every time I've stayed. Not very peaceful start to your day! I've stayed here before and had mixed experiences. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is decent. Hotel is generally quiet and is in a good location just off the highway. I really wish IHG would review this hotel. They're giving the chain a bad name!
Internet wifi is super slow. Amenities are few. Staff is average, rooms are clean but very basic. Unless you are forced, do not stay here. There are many better options within 5 kms. Would not recommend.
we were in Milton on a business trip, and although this is not a new unit, it has been renovated somewhat with new carpets bathroom was clean, room had a fridge, keurig, and microwave. rooms were quiet. the only thing was the air conditioner seemed slow to respond to temperature change.
I rely on reasonable internet as I'm self-employed and at this hotel it was awful. There may have been a faster option for more money but that amounts to a sneaky cash grab. when I asked two separate staff about it they said they had had complaints before and they blamed it either on the distance of the router, the router which required a reset (no solution) or the internet provider. It was like being on dial up. Wouldn't return for this resaon and we are frequent travellers to Milton ON.
