I have been in Milano a few times now; either using it as base of travel or city vacation. In any case I had this hotel recommended to me and I do not for one moment regret following the recommendation. It is close to the M3 metro line, which takes you to the center of Milano quickly. Alternatively you can walk there in an hour and on your way find various cafés and shops which you would not have seen from underground. The area surrounding the hotel may not be the most interesting and part of it consist of unfinished buildings (construction stopped when the global financial crisis hit in 2008), but you can get a taste of real Italy and Italians just by walking a bit about. The hotel itself is normal good standard hotel with friendly staff, a good breakfast buffet, possibility for a lovely evening meal and really cosy rooms with comfortable beds.
This was our last hotel in our itinerary but with best value in consideration of the comforts offered at its price level. Our party of four enjoyed the comfort of 2 spacious junior suites with a great view of the city. While it may seem far from the city center (11 stops on the Yellow line toward San Donato if you come from Milano Centrale or 7 stops if you come from the Duomo where most of places of interest can be accessed) the subway is fast and so efficient so we found this hotel to be quiet, secure and most convenient. It's always best to get a 24 hour pass on the metro so you can go any which way to and from the hotel without any qualms. The Junior suite is very spacious with a sitting room (a welcome drink was an added bonus) with its own wide screen TV, coffee maker, ref, safe, etc. A feature I have never seen in any other hotel we stayed at was a trouser press in the walk-in closet. Another unique feature was a dresser stool in the bathroom which I don't find too often. The vanity mirror was also a very welcome plus. They also had a full set of bathroom amenities. A power hair dryer is always a great feature. While I appreciated the separate overhead shower and handheld shower, since the tub and shower were fused, I believe it was a bit precarious not to have a bath mat for more secure footage in going in and out of the shower. A satisfying Breakfast buffet came with the booking. Our cousin however who was at same hotel 2 whole days ahead of us complained that it was exactly the same menu everyday so by the third day they didn't seem as happy anymore. Free wifi access had strong signals. Staff had good command of English but not as friendly in demeanor compared to our previous accommodations. The place was very clean and the beds comfortable. The door however can only be locked manually with the key. One gets used to the door being locked automatically when it closes behind you so for security reasons, bear in mind that you have to use the key to lock the door whenever you leave. I would certainly stay here again.
The breakfast was nice. The location was perfect, 10 minutes from duomo by metoro. Bedding was so clean and bed was comfortable. I think the house keeper did good job. Big room, big TV, some stuff seems nice But we had some problems. First, we wanted take a bath as soon as we got there because we were so tired from traveling but the plug in the bathtub didn't work well so we called the reception and they sent the plumber and he changed the plug. Even though we couldn't draw the bath so we asked to change the room. They changed the room but that room didn't have the bathtub and smelled like cigarette so bad so we asked to change the room again. And they said they don't have spare room so in the end, we ended up staying the first room. It took two hours to decide the room but THEY NEVER APOLOGIZED. Of course they changed us for the normal price and the mini bar. And when we tried to take a bath, we realized there was only one set of towels and bathrobe even though we booked for two persons so I called the reception and asked " I'm so sorry to bother you but may I have another towel ? " as I don't speak Italian. And the lady said something, I couldn't hear it so I said " sorry? " but she just hung up. That was so rude. I didn't want to try again so I gave up. And after that, in the night, we asked for toothbrush. This time, my boyfriend asked in Italian and the man came to my room so I said "Gazie" but he said NOTHING. That moment, I decided to write this review. I've been 5 stars hotel, 3 stars hotel, B&B, apartment etc... but this hotel didn't feel like 4 stars hotel even though we stayed superior room. The furniture looks old, the bath room's tiles were cracked, the service was terrible as I wrote. They didn't even say hello to us when we ran into them in the hallway. Maybe we expected too much but this hotel was terrible. I feel so stupid that I wrote this long but that's why I really don't recommend here. Please consider another place.
We stayed in Business Palace during Easter Holidays. We had triple bed room which was spacious for 3 adults, cleaned every day. The bathroom was equipped with all needed toiletries and towels changed every day. The breakfast was really delicious with Italian cappuccino. The restaurant was very crowded in the morning but the staff have done everything to serve us well. The distance to metro station is 3 minutes from the hotel, 5 stops to Duomo, 11 to central station. There is also small italian restaurant near the hotel with tasty pizza.
As the name suggests this is a non fancy, rather old but decent business hotel. It has nice breakfast, standard clean rooms and two small gardens where someone can work outside. Very close to the metro station.
Pro's: - Reasonably priced room - 2 minute walk from M3 Metro Line which goes direct to Duomo (city centre) and Central Milan Station - Comfy Bed Con's: - Expensive breakfast + not very good quality - Cold shower, took 10 minutes for water to run warm, both at 8am and 10pm, by the time it ran warm, enough water had passed through that you could have washed the entire national rugby team - Shower Pressure, comparable to that of a light drizzle - Only 24 hrs free wifi - Expensive Bar Verdict: - 4 Star sales pitch, 2 Star reality - Ok for a few nights - Overall average, it would be rude to say poor
the hotel gave us fantastic room for a family of 4,good connection with metro ,reception staff good but breakfast staff did not greet or smile n treated as if they are doing pity.breakfast was okay, whn asked for capuchini, showed us milk n cofee n said make yr own.
Although I have cleatly mentioned in my reservation that I will arrive by 10 am, I did not receive the room by 3 pm.Room was available but they could not manage to prepare the room.price level was also high considering the location of hotel.
Very nice hotel, about 30m from the metro station. The staff was very kind. The breakfast was good, it was special that they had a big honeycomb on our second day, and the fresh honey was just dripping out slowly. The rooms were clean, the furniture and the tiles in the bathroom a little bit old however the huge mirror in the bathroom compensated me for it. We had a good sleep, the room was quiet and curtains thick enough not to let in the sun in the morning. For me this was a great plus because I like to sleep at least untill 8-8:30 on holidays and sometimes the curtains let trough some of the light and then I can't sleep anymore, whereas here it was really dark.
If I were to go to Milan again, I definately going to stay here again. The hotel is close to metro station that connects directly to Milano Centrale and some other places. The staffs are excellent and there is also a business center where you can use freely without any charge when you want to do printing. The hotel is clean and the room is quite big. The price is cheaper and it is definately a best value. Highly recommended
