the hotel room was nice and clean. There is no in room wifi, which is bad. the keys are giant. you cant carry it with you. the staff members at the front desk were rude and ill mannered. the one lady asked us to copy our passports. were like why? she couldn't answer it. then we put a do not disturb sign on our door. when we returned our whole room was reorganized and put away. everyone's things were mixed up. we had to organize our belongings all over again. we called the manager, who took forever to even acknowledge our concern. he said you should have put the do not disturb sign on the door if you didn't want your room cleaned. we told him that we did and we even secured it in place. he made up some excuse and apologized. we told him that they should train their staff to read signs better and follow rules. no heater in the room. the front desk lady hung up on us several times. too much smoking. I would not stay here, they are not trustworthy.
Location: The hotel is not in the central area but is located very close to a metro station that takes you directly to the center of Milan. Reception: excellent service. Responses to emails after booking were prompt and thoughtful. The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable. Bathroom very good. During my stay the atmosphere was very quiet during the day and at night. Internet is free. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel heating service is very good. Corridors and other common areas have heater. Does not offer breakfast. There is an Eataly restaurant inside hotel.
I've stayed in this hotel for several years now as I attend an annual exhibition in the city. I'm afraid I have noticed that the standards are slipping. The most disappointing facility is the breakfast. For a 4 star hotel to offer Cornflakes or Rice Krispies in this day and age is frankly not on. There is nothing like muesli or granola or even porridge and when you consider the hot breakfast it doesn't get any more inviting. I can't think what they do with the scrambled eggs to make them so sloppy and the bacon is swimming in water and the frankfurters are just ok. Then there are the 'fruit' juices. Whatever they are they are not fresh orange or grapefruit - horrific. I had booked a twin room for myself and my business colleague. He was unable to travel so I asked if I could have a double room instead. As they could not offer me a discount I expected, at least, a decent size of a room. Instead, I got a box room with barely enough room to walk around the bed. I complained to reception and they did give me a better room but without as much as an apology. There is a cloud of smoke to battle through at the front door which is very off putting. On the positive side the hotel is still spotlessly clean, the rooms are quiet and the beds are very comfortable. Might look elsewhere next year
Though on the fringes on Milan, I was glad we did not have to deal with hordes of tourists. The hotel is almost on the end of the yellow line. It has, as someone else mentioned, larger than normal European sized rooms. It was quiet as well and I wondered if anyone heard my toddler. The food was decent. There was always plenty and it was fresh. There were both hot and cold options. The decor is typical hotel with nicer floors--my room had no carpet, which was a relief. There were two things about my room: the person did not change out the dishes-tea plate. We clearly used the plates and both times they were not exchanged. I did not make a fuss because it was negligible. Second, there was no curtain or door to the shower/tub. I consciously tried not to wet the floor, which was inevitable. On the side of the tub you could see the start of water damage (slight) where the water is always lingering. We were able to discover the neighborhood two stops north at Brenta. We found Indian food, Chinese food, a Carrefour and some other things. Going south to the next stop was a downer as there is only an "American Diner." Even further, the area looks less inviting so North was the better option. Overall it was an okay stay.
The initial impressions of this hotel are good. Large open lobby with beautiful wooden front desk. Here it ends. My bedroom was crammed full of dated furniture so there was little room to get around. The pillow is hard. The heating and light settings are dated technology. The bath is narrow and the hand held shower unit is a death trap trailing around the bath and virtually impossible to tidy away. Shower hot with needle pressure but tough to stand under it with the narrowness of the bath and without soaking the rest of the bathroom. Poor as a business hotel as no iron or ironing board in room, to make matters worse it’s not even possible. If I want I can use the industrial machine in the basement from 8:30. Right well that’s not very helpful is it. The bar is fine and the staff friendly and attentive. Restaurant nice and food good. Be warned Italians like their pasta al dente, a bit too al dente for my personal tastes. The corridor was noisy, I woke up with a start thinking someone was in my room! Overall I would not recommend this hotel.
Stayed here for two nights, large room with comfortable bed. Only ate in restaurant the second night, service friendly, with waiters well informed with regards to food allergies, food excellent had the sea bass special recommended by the waiter. Not the cheapest in the area but certainly the better than the other local restaurants that we tried.
The hotel is nice and clean; rooms are larger than typical european standards. The staff is excellent and the service is great. Rooms are very quiet and comfortable. However, the physical plant is a bit worn--not dirty but in need of an rennovation at some point. The hotel is very close to a subway stop and its easy to grab an Uber. Please note that this is a business hotel and not near any sightseeing venues. Only one real compliant: you have to run the hot water in the shower for 5 mintues to get hot water.
The hotel is nice, it has good prices and also is very close to the airport. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast is also fair. I recommended it if you want to be close to the airport in a good and basic quality hotel.
Rooms are big, comfortable, large beds, pillow menu. Bathrooms are also big, towels are clean and soft, amenities on point, good hair dryer. Everything is very clean. Hotel staff is lovely and very helpful. Breakfast is very well sorted, lots and lots of options. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was amazing. Definitely bonus points for the Maitre Alessandro, who works both during breakfast and dinner, who was always very cheerful, polite, helpful, and made us feel right at home. Will be coming back next month. Definitely recommend.
We were in the Milan area as tourists. Even though this hotels' location was more commercial and residential, the quick access to the metro made visits to the city sites, central rail station, and tour bus departure points most convenient. In fact, being away from the busy tourist areas provided more of an opportunity to interact with the local people and shop with them. The hotel itself was clean and modern. The free breakfast buffet was great. The staff was helpful, friendly and most spoke English. Alessandro appeared in many roles (restaurant, breakfast, and bar) and was very helpful and delightful to be around. He has a great ability to not only serve your needs, but also anticipate them. After many years of business travel, being in this business-oriented hotel for vacation was preferable to those located in high volume tourist areas.
