Park Hyatt Milano5.0 out of 5.0

I have traveled domestically and internationally for 40 plus years. I would say that the Park Hyatt Milan exceeds every expectation I look for when traveling. Staff, location, quality and cleanliness were the best!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel to all. PS... I am the pickiest traveler ever. I hate most hotels....
What a wonderful hotel in the only location you want to be in Milan! Surrounded by restaurants, cafes, great shopping and of course right next to the D'uomo. The rooms are fairly big and bathrooms absolutely gorgeous and huge! Free water, coffee n tea in the room, welcome cookies and candy for the kids..... it is what you expect from a 5* hotel of this caliber. We did not have breakfast included and ended up eating a la carte one day as the buffet had already closed. That was probably the only negative.... super expensive and very small portions! There are lots of cafes around with fresh squeezed juices for one third the rates you'll pay at the hotel. Otherwise, an excellent stay!
The hotel is located in the shopping area, yet , it enjoys complete privacy from the tourists and crowds. Except for the shower head, everything in the room is very well maintained. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable . The Concierge has great recommendations of restaurants and how-to-get-there for sight seeing . The room is very relaxing. Housekeeping is outstanding .
We were there only as a stop over and can highly recommend the Park Hyatt. Only downside was their Michelin Star restaurant was closed for summer break. Excellent location for shopping, eating and any attractions as it is all within walking distance of hotel.
Stayed with my wife and daughters for 3 nights in July. Absolutely wonderful hotel in a classic building adjacent to the Galleria and Duomo di Milano. The property is classic Italian architecture, rooms and facilities were luxurious, service was impeccable, and the food was outstanding. The location is unmatched - right beside the Galleria and Piazza del Duomo. Concierge services were superb - they helped navigate us to the hotel from Malpensa Airport to avoid the ZTL traffic limitations, assisted with an itinerary for a day trip to Venice, and booked dinner reservations for us on short notice in Lake Como. Would absolutely come back and stay here on a future visit to Milan.
Returned to the Park Hyatt after a three-year absence and found the staff is still extraordinarily attentive and accommodating. The location is super convenient and the food and drink on property are excellent.
We were at the Park Hyatt and had lunch today (a Friday) at 2pm at their restaurant called "Mio". The menu at the lobby as shown in the picture says there is a "Daily Lunch set from 12:30-2:30pm Monday to Friday" for EUR35 with one course, water, coffee and dessert or EUR43 for two courses, so we relied on the menu and ordered a Veal and a Fish. The waiter there suggested we add a salad, so we did. We then asked if the set lunch menu is available, the waiter said "No" and it is "for business lunch only" despite the menu at the lobby clearly said that it is a "Daily Lunch set" and we are within the date and time specified. They refused to give us a better explanation. We complained to the manager about the misrepresentation of the menu because it is clearly displayed at the lobby, so he said he would rectify the situation. We told him that we are fine to pay the regular price (as the difference is minimal anyways) and it is just a matter of principles, but he insisted that he will offer us the set lunch. He even asked if we wanted Tiramisu or pineapple for the set lunch dessert and if we still want the salad given the set lunch structure. We didn't want to waste time on this, so we cancelled the salad as he suggested to keep things simple. So we finished the main dishes and coffee (food is honestly not bad), and was waiting for the dessert for more than 20 minutes. We were on a timetable so we just asked for the bill without the dessert ever in sight. It ended up that the manager did not live up to his offer for two set lunches (of EUR70 in total) and unilaterally decided to cancel dessert for us without telling us and charge us the main dishes and coffee (which ended up to be EUR70, as I mentioned the difference is minimal anyway). My partner and I were very disturbed by the whole dining experience there as the manager gave us the impression that we were here on a budget so he just unilaterally decided to fix us a meal within EUR70 despite we insisted several times that we are fine to pay the regular menu price just that we wanted to let them know that the menu at the lobby offers the set lunch. We felt greatly DISRESPECTED with (i) the lack of explanation that the set lunch menu on display is not available for travelers; and (ii) the unilateral cancellation of the dessert and offer to cancel the salad by the manager (so we did not have a full course lunch because of the mess) while we were kept waiting for 20 minutes and no one told us dessert was cancelled. The set menu that led us to the lunch is a complete DISHONESTY on the part of the hotel. Also, the manager's initial offer to rectify the situation and then retracted such proposal without notice to us made guests felt extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant at a hotel of such grade, while it shows that they do not acknowledge that it is their fault of misrepresenting that a set lunch menu is available. My partner and I both felt that we were being looked down upon by the manger just imposing a lunch at a budget of EUR70 on us, and this could even be a cultural or ethnic issue. We were extremely disappointed by this experience at Park Hyatt Milan despite we have stayed at other Park Hyatts in Asia and never had such experience.
Best position in the heart of everything. One block away from Duomo and all the amazing shops. Our room was wonderful with every comfort you can wish for. The staff are exceptionally friendly and the service was excellent. Nice cafe over the road and we would def return. Moira and Allan.
Best room, service and position. The high ceilings make the room feel very spacious. Ultra comfortable bedding made for excellent sleep. Bathroom had everything, loved the bath. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We were in the heart of everything.... best shops. Had a delightful cafe opposite to the hotel and we were one block away from the awesome Duomo. Would def stay there again and again.
We've stayed in some nice hotels, but this one is easily one of the best! Like another reviewer, we reserved with American Express, and were upgraded to a suite which was so spacious, it was almost vast. The furniture and furnishings in the rooms (and the restaurant) were elegant without being overstated, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and our room was quiet in spite of the incredible location next to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and Piazza Del Duomo. The service was fantastic! The service was excellent.
