Our checking was really good. The hotel is in sad condition. Kinda looked like they were remodeling but it is a sad condition. The room was clean but desperately needs repairs. The chair was broken and badly stained. Bathroom needed repairs. Hairdryer was broken and they had no replacement. Are people living there? Patios were full of empty liquor bottles and trash?? Checkout was awful. Worker was outside on his phone and never acknowledged us or came in to help. We gave our keys to someone jn the lobby. We stayed out of necessity but I’d never stay again. It was a little sketchy. I expected more from Wyndham.

It was just okay. It wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t great. It was a bit run down. The pool does not open up until 2. You can’t eat your breakfast in your room which was different. It wasn’t a problem for us, just stating.

There was a mistake at check-in an additional $265 was charged to my card problem was rectified but took 4 days to get my money back. Beds were comfy but I did see a roach in our bathroom and the shower handle was broken off. Towels and sheets were supposed to be replaced on day three but were not.

Missing ceiling tile in bathroom, broken counter in bathroom, noisy refrigerator and air conditioner, slider door wouldn’t open, patio door in pool area is broken and doesn’t open, this will s a fire hazard!

A Total Mess - Would NOT Recommend

I had to wait over 10 minutes at the front desk before someone showed up to check me in. Manager was on a cell phone the entire time and didn't pay much attention to me. The hotel's decor was a mish-mash of different paints so it looked dirty, the lobby, halls and rooms smelled of mustiness and dampness. The A/C in our room didn't work well and other issues as well. WE DID NOT STAY. I dropped the keys off at the desk just over an hour after we checked in (4:15 PM). Tried to contact manager, but he was out to lunch. Called back an hour later and he was still out - was told it would be hours. I need to get a refund for this disaster of a reservation. I called this morning to discuss again and no answer. Corporate needs to get involved in this property!

Carpet in room was wet. Whole room needs updated. Breakfast was poor quality. Hotel smells old and you can tell it used to have smoking allowed.

3 day stay. Great access to both the National and State park-decent price for a holiday weekend. Kind and patient staff. Felt safe, though very dated building. Old building, they never took out our trash. Very limited breakfast. The sheets were stained and had a cigarette hole in them but were CLEAN. It was par for the course with Baymont by Wyndham-I’ve stayed with them in other cities.

I wouldn't stay there

The hotel was ran down and needs a major overhaul. My husband tried ironing his pants and the iron was so old and messed up it ruined my husband's dress pants. The beds were uncomfortable and there were spiders and ants in the room. I stayed at this hotel last year and it was amazing but I dont know what happened in a year because it is really run down.

Of all the Baymonts, I’ve been to this was the worst. Unprofessional/pieces of paper tapes to walls threatening the shut the entire pool down if kids are found in the hot tub or an extra cleaning fee will be charged if you bring your cereal back to your room instead for eating in front of them (only 6 tables). Peppery is in shambles - it’s being held together by glue. Do yourself a favor and book some place else.

Dirty, cheap, don’t go.

Found 3 bugs when we entered and got rid of them. Woke up to a ton of ants in the bathroom all over the floor. We didn’t even use the trash in the bathroom. Missing tile in the bathroom roof, hair in the tub, counter feels like it will fall if you put pressure on it. Room floor was clean but walls were dirty, bed headboard was dirty and just needed wiped harder. Had to clean this room ourselves to make ourselves comfortable. Will never stay here again.

Silverfish and roaches in the room. Hallways was hot even though my room was on the first floor I know they did not have an elevator. The breakfast was awful sausage and gravy was cold. I Was Bitten in my back and on my face by some kind of bug. Had to unplug the fridge just to use the microwave. The room key constantly not working to let us in and out of the room. And I'm one of the owners was out working on the flowers when we got there and when I walked in she rushed in and pulled the other owner to the back and I'm assuming she was letting him know that I had a pet while i was checking in. Yes the desk clerk was told I had a pet while i was checking in and I paid the $50 Pet deposit for both nights. However, the front desk clerk was really nice I'm assuming those was the owners and the the woman that was cleaning the flowers out front when we arrived had a mean look on her face and was not nice all. One of the worst hotels I ever stayed at in Michigan City
