The room was stuffy, very bad mold smell was strong inside the room, the bathroom smells awful as if there is a dead rat inside. I had to go to the reception disk to get toilet paper, I requested room service at 8 am and I have to repeat the request till the the room was serviced at 8 pm.
The window that is supposed to show partial view of the ocean was dirty with many black spots. The air condition was not working. I tried to stay outside the room as much as I can to avoid the stuffy small. There was no hot water for a day. It is very clear that the hotel is very cheap in its service and I wish I could change the hotel but Orbitz staff said I can not change the hotel and I can not get my money back. Therefore, I was forced to stay. We arrived to the hotel and checked in at about 3:30 pm and we have been told that the room is not ready, we could not go to the room till 5:30 pm.
the continental breakfast lacks the traditional food. We have to pay $7 to get scrambled eggs.
Many residents we spoke to in the hotel complained about the room and the service.
I paid $37/day resort fee, however, the chairs on the beach was not enough. Many many people including me had to sit on the sand without umbrella or chairs.
It was a very bad experience and I doubt that I will use Orbitz again to make vacation reservation.
