We will be back here to enjoy time on the beach this year. It is clean, quiet and good size rooms. The staff at reception and Manager were lovely and helpful. Thanks to Alejandra - Anai - Paola Kind Regards Sergio
The room was clean and a perfect stay for a short trip to Miami Beach. Location was a short walk to local attractions and eateries. The beach was great with cabana's set up for guest use. On the first day we were not told to pick up towels from reception so we were without a towel as they don't have any at the beach. The room was nicely aircondtioned, however we did not have control of it and on the first day it was blasting at an extremely cold temperature that we all had to wear track pants and sweaters to bed. Speaking of bed the bed was clean with comfortable pillows however the mattress was squeaky, firm and uncomfortable, not ideal for sharing a bed or room with friends. Breakfast was adequate and satisfied us. The room was noisy as a result of other hotel customers and street noise, but nothing you can't tolerate. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle, at the time of booking this was definitely a selling point for me. I contacted them to arrange pick up, however I was advised that my flight landed too late, at 8.30pm this was disappointing as I was not advised this when I booked the hotel.
Stayed in South Beach for 3 nights and this place was perfect for our needs, the room was kept clean and had all the mod cons , staff were friendly and helpful. It was nice to have a pool area although small it serves the place well. Also breakfast was simple but a nice touch if your up early enough. I would stay again .
We loved this boutique hotel. It is run well, clean and very retro. We will definitely be back here to enjoy time on the beach. You are within walking distance of great restaurants and the beach is a 2 minute walk.
We booked the junior suite for a girls getaway weekend. The room is like a one bedroom apartment. Clean, quiet, good size for three people although you can fit 6 in there. The hotel is close to the beach and a couple of doors down is a taco place where you can get delicious tacos at $3.50 a pop. It's also one block away from Lincoln blvd shopping street and a liquor store. The South Beach main road A1A with restaurants and bars is a 5 min walk across the street. The wifi was a little weak. The staff at reception were lovely and helpful. The free shuttle service runs from 7am and stops at other hotels so if you are in a hurry best to take an uber ($32 to the airport). It was chilly when we were here and didn't use the jacuzzi but the jets weren't that strong. There is no pool but on a hot sunny day you can sit on the upper deck and people watch. Better yet pack up the beach towels provided and hit the beach across the street. I would book this hotel again on my next trip.
We arrived on December 29th , we were received with a great smile from Alexandra the front desk manager, we went to the room a it was nice and clean, a bit too cold but we call at the front desk and immediately they send two blankets ! across the street from the beach and a few blocks from all the action, I will be back soon with my family, thanks to all the staff.
Never came back to this place again or recommend to anyone. We arrived to the lobby for the the checkin and Joel from the front desk was so rude and arrogant before we even say a word and told us to leave because there was no reservation for the day. After we showed him the confirmation code from booking he continued with his arrogant atitude asking for us when we did the reservation and kept ignoring us. We didnt imediately the date of reservation and he kept insunuating that we could have done thw reservation just 30 minutes ago. Then we showed that the reservation was made 1 month ago. Just after that he start to check what happened. They had some mistake and the were no room for us avaiable. He kept arguing with us the whole time and never apologize. NEVER EVER COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN...Felt very insulted by Joel from the front desk
We stayed here as a family of 4 adults and 4 children (ages 16,14,12 and 1) - 2 rooms. Having looked at numerous hotels in the area this place was within our budget, looked to be a great location and included breakfast. Although we were slightly reluctant to book it based on some of the reviews, as it was only for a 2 night stop off we took the risk and booked. It's worth pointing out that this place isn't a luxury hotel (if you want a 5 star hotel then book somewhere else and pay 3 times the price!). We were greeted by lovely staff who were exceptionally friendly, anything we needed information wise they were happy to help. The beds wasn't particularly comfortable (but we had just come off a 5 star cruise so I don't think many beds would compare to that!)! They were more than fine though for a couple of nights. We booked a junior room which was spacious compared to my aunties standard room. We requested a cot that wasn't in the room on arrival, and when it did arrive it had broken, but we managed with our baby in our bed for the first night and by the second night it was replaced with a new cot. We certainly didn't let this spoil our stay, it wasn't a major problem to us. The breakfast was continental, coffee, orange juice, pastries, cereal, toast and small muffins, which was more than fine to start the day! The lady restocking breakfast didn't stop, she did a great job! Overall, if we had an open cheque book we probably would stay in a more expensive hotel, but if we were looking again for somewhere central, basic, with friendly helpful staff, with breakfast that was exceptionally priced compared to others in the area we would absolutely stay here again! You really couldn't beat this location for Miami Beach, the free beach chairs, loan of beach towels and umbrellas on the beach were a bonus too! Thanks for a great stay :-)
The photos at web site seemed fine, when we arrived we had to carry our heavy luggage on the stairs...nobody helped us... at night the rooms were clean but there was a party outside ,we couldn't sleep! Also the doors seemed so ligth .. we were worried ... that someone drunk could enter... the breakfast was too simple for the price...
I will definitely recommend the Aqua Hotel to anyone who's looking for a place to stay. This hotel has great location, in the middle of south beach, clean rooms, rates are also fare. And very nice staff! Francisco did a great job.
