I loved that this is an economically priced hotel. The room had a nice shower, spacious, was clean, safe, and all the usual accommodations. Parking was available in their lot, easy access at $20 per night. The lot was a bit tight for suvs but smaller cars are perfect. There was a Starbucks machine in the lobby and the staff was friendly. It was also situated away from all of the noise and congestion of south beach a few streets over. I definitely will be back when I visit Miami.

Enjoyable 2-day stay for Miami tennis open. Walked a few minutes to the beach. Enjoyed a drink, appetizers, and people watching on ocean drive and had a delicious meal experience at Joe's stone crabs. All easy walking distance from the hotel. Easy drive the next day to Key Biscayne for tennis.

We spent one night at the Hotel St. Augustine and will be coming back for sure. It was an easy walk to the beach, to the park and also many restaurants. Our host was very informative since this was our first trip to South Beach. We parked our car once in their lot ($20) and never moved it until we left. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and it was the best bathroom we have EVER had in any hotel, fancy ones included. The bathrobes and huge shower were a great surprise. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who cannot pay the big bucks to be closer to the action. The main street was so noisy even at 10:30 at night that we were grateful to be in our nearby, residential area.

We really enjoyed this non-chain hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was in a quieter part of town, which we preferred. Still, short walk to beach and restaurants. Room was nice and clean but walls were thin and A/C was pretty loud. We got used to it. Steam room in baths? Awesome!!

convenient location to nightlife and Catholic church

Nice hotel close to ocean drive. Room was clean and parking is cheaper compare to other hotels. Not much for breakfast even though it's an add on advantage.

Hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They're also bilingual in Spanish. Rooms are quiet, clean and spacious. In the morning, we got Cuban pastries and fresh coffee in addition to breakfast cereal, juice and other goodies. Conveniently located, Close to everything and parking is available.

Jasmine at the front desk was so kind and helpful, even though we were at the end of her shift and she must have been exhausted. The hotel was clean and nice. Just a brisk walk and you're at the beach! -- I wish that there was a bit more at the breakfast bar, but other than that I've got no complaints.

Great place don't cost 2 much nice staff great shower nice big rooms

It was nice and not 2 far from everything could walk just about 2 everything I have stayed there a few times I like it

This hotel was perfect for me while on a work trip. Nowhere else looked anywhere near this quiet. Beautiful place. Smells amazing inside! Downsides: not much at all for continental breakfast. $20/day to park.

Hotel was in a perfect location and the staff was amazing. The downfalls: Welp, the initial presence of the hotel lobby was not good. The room was nice, but needed a ton of updating. But it was typical for a south beach hotel.

A very small hotel in a quieter area of South Beach if you want to sleep at night. Nice size steam shower; rooms were small, but not bad for one or two people. No view at all. Staff were very nice; upgraded us to a King size bed when we checked in. Provided us clean towels and cleaned up our room nicely each day. Hotel provided free continental breakfast daily. Parking is a bit pricey - $20/day. Walking distance to Collins & Ocean Drive.

The pictures of this hotel are a little deceiving. It is not as spacious or beautifully lit as it seems. 2 blocks from the beach, which you can just walk onto, definitely one of the best features. The room was smaller than we anticipated, and there was no table, which was disappointing because we intended to spend some time playing cards/boardgames, but there was no space for it. Steam shower is nice, but small for 2 to enjoy. Door to the shower wasn't clean, and that was a turnoff. There was no iron or coffee pot, although breakfast was included every morning (cereal, yogurt, coffee, pastries) The TV was very small, and we didn't watch it. They do have a library of CDs and DVDs, and it is nice that the stereo is wired to the steam shower. Wi-fi was a plus.

This hotel was the perfect choice after searching through many different options. Location was great. Close to everything but quiet at the same time. Perfect for a couple searching for a romantic time.

Upon arriving back in Miami after a wonderful 4-day getaway cruise to the Bahamas, we couldn't have been more relieved to arrive at the Hotel St. Augustine. Right in the heart of South Beach off Washington Avenue, nothing was too far, especially the beach! The staff was warm, inviting, and accomodating fron the get-go. They checked us into our room hours before the set check-in time. The room was INCREDIBLE. Not only was it massive and gorgeous but immaculate as well. My husband and I have never stayed in such a beautiful room, or in a boutique hotel such as this. We had some friends come by who couldn't stop admiring how awesome it was. I had a package of party passes delivered (which the concierge was also veryyyy helpful with) and even the man on the phone said, "woah, that is a nice place!" when given the name of our hotel. We went out one of the nights on foot to a restaurant found in the food guide in our room, followed by some clubbing in the area. Couldn't have made a better decision. Between taking steamroom showers and running to the beach for a quick swim or tan, we could be caught lounging away on the MASSIVE bed in our comfy robes. Housekeeping never strayed and each front desk worker was as informed and pleasant as the last. The smoking area out front was nice, rather than standing on the street, and indoors they had a nice bar area up front with couches, barstools, a tv, microwave, fridge, etc. Most of the patrons were as equally awesome and friendly, given it was memorial day weekend so there were a few 5 a.m.-ers I could have done without hearing in the hall, but that'd have happened any hotel. So overall I highly highly highly suggest if you are staying in Miami Beach, make sure you are in South Beach and staying at the dreamy Hotel St. Augustine.

The staff was wonderful! They were friendly, respectful, and helpful. During my 8-day stay, I became allergic to something - I couldn't stop sneezing. So, I spoke to the front desk and asked if anyone else had been suffering from allergies. He assured me he had not. Then, after an honest and caring conversations with me, he put me into another room. I felt better and enjoyed a great week. The nicest part, during the rest of my vacation the desk clerk kept making sure I was ok. Thank you. The rooms were basic but modern and very clean. Well kept hotel. Loved the steam showers! No coffee pot in the room but SB is just a few blocks away.

friendly staff, close to everything! I will stay there again.

Room was disgusting. Carpets in hallways and room torn, and black from dirt. No elevators. Paper thin walls. Dirty bed. Shower in the open.

The hotel is located on Washington Ave between 3rd and 4th Street. So it is only blocks away from the center of action. Being a New Yorker, I walked everywhere in SOBE from my hotel and it is a very pleasant walk. The hotel itself has a small yet very chic lobby, but there is no elevator. My room was on the 2nd floor so I had to carry my luggage up a full flight of stairs. Luckily I was there for a short stay so I only had a carry-on with me. The room is very pleasant, and the best water pressure from the shower compared to many hotels I stayed at! I feel the only inconvenience is the fact that the room has no dresser so it was hard to unpack. All in all, I would definitely stay there again.
